Seriously me too even I can't afford private university in my country Sri Lanka. So I hope get degree from Government university free without any fees. And I am very proud about Sri Lanka because in job market Sri Lankan's give much attention to Government degree they don't consider much about private degrees. And also I am indebted people who paying taxes in Sri Lanka without them I can't get free education, and my parents can't afford tution fees for private schools or universities... My kid has had his heart set on MIT since he was about 4yrs old!! He's now halfway through his freshman year of high school & still hasn't changed mind. He wants to get into robotics engineering.
I study Undergraduate Robotics Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, known for the best RE program in the world but MIT Mechanical Engineers do still have the upper hand prior to experience compared to other majors there and higher Typical Annual Salaries after graduation and if he wanted to focus on robotics that'll be more time and money, unfortunately they don't offer robotics as an undergraduate major, but for graduate level they offer is as a path, it's also fairly cheaper than MIT too, nonetheless congrats to him

Many of the prestigious schools here (Stanford, MIT, Cal Tech) meet 100% demonstrated need of the students so they are actually very affordable. Schools like Boston, Northeastern, NYU are not only mediocre but are extremely expensive, especially if you are an international student.

For UK residents irregardless of what university you’re going to, be it Oxbridge or a lesser known institution the maximum they can charge at the moment is only £9,250 annually. I understand this might be going from international standard fees but I believe there are more institutions in America that charge higher than many of the universities on this list

The Architecture program in Oregon is ranked number 1 in the USA. University of Oregon's Architecture program costs over 50,000 a year. There are flight technology degrees that cost over 50,000 a year, that doesn't compensate for all the flight hours that may be required , plus instrument ratings and misc. I think there is one in southern Oregon that costs over 250,000 to graduate.

I graduated Cambridge University from 2019. I can't afford their but I got scholarship because I was top students at Philippines.

In Sri Lanka, we have a free education system. From primary schools to PhD level we are free from fees.
Free textbooks and uniforms for all school students. Bursary for every university student and scholarships for some school students to cover their other expenses.
Ok am not allowed to study one of these universities coz am poor asf
