Cant go wrong with an Explorer 2, Submariner, Sea Dweller but that Patek on his wrist with enamel dial is what really caught my eye! Absolutely love Patek, vintage and the modern models!
Adam, from all the watches that you highlighted today from Man and Sonny I really loved the Rolex ref 18238, beautiful dial, very nice. I have never seen this particular Cartier before either, lol. Lol Also, this is quickly becoming my favorite watch channel. I don't know any of the ref numbers, to say the least, but vintage watches seem to reaaaally peak my interest. My dad, a farmer from Kansas, left me his Daytona he bought before coming home from Vietnam, which I didn't know he had until after he passed. I've always been a watch guy, just not on any premium brands due to budget. My best watch up until the Daytona was my tag heuer I traded Cigars for a few years ago. Lol. Maybe a $1,500 watch. I had NO idea my dad was any sort of watch guy. He wore a $8 timex my whole life.
Alex Stevens Vintage had one of those wooden Cartiers in the Watts on Watches episode. It's also still visible in his website as "sold" for reference. Only time I've seen another one but it was more brownish "Pallisandre de Rio" wood
@Menta Watches There are only a few nerds to discuss this with; It is very weird and almost creepy that Patek has used that exact subdial on their latest generation of calatrava? what is the message there if at all they did copy it? I know they have a relationship with Rolex now, so I will think it is most likely a friendly nod and it can be snobbery? These details are so small, I ask myself if anyone really cares or is it just nerdy staff that get carried away with stuff like this. To me, it is cool, hope other nerds spot this and appreciate. Stuff like this tells me that the little world we collect in, people still pay attention
