Any “investment” is a risk. We don’t view watches as investments, but if they appreciate, great. At least the guy got to wear and enjoy it for 40 years.
What affordable automatic vintage timepieces brands are out there? Under 1500. Always wanted to add a vintage watch to my collection but don’t need a crazy rare expensive timepiece that I’d worry about wearing.
3000 than invested in 1984 at 5 percent would be 21k today. So the Rolex watch was a mediocre investment except for the enjoyment which is significant.
I think stamps and old money were used for money laundering (especially in China) with the rise of crypto it and clamp down on corruption it had slowed down a lot. Also for normal collectors, I don't think you can flex stamps on Insta, but with watches you can haha
Adam: "I'm not scared about loosing money. I do it all the time." I have witness him loosing money multiple times, maybe too many times lol. Fuck all that complain when he makes an honest profit and he discloses it publicly. PS: Sony is the sexiest watch dealer ever. That pink trouser leaves me wanting more.
Great episode, some very nice watches. The Zenith with tropical sub dials is sweet!
Agreed!
Kept waiting for the scroll to the right lol.
Cameraman showing outstanding restraint.
Awesome episode as always, thanks Adam and Sonny🙏🙏🙏

Love your show, maybe calm down the over talking over people.
This watchmaker apocalypse scares me......love these watches

@@mentawatches Please God.....
Adam, your friend Sonny has a really nice collection of watches. I saw a couple that made me wish I was in Miami!!
Very nice video.😊
You are welcome anytime Frank!!!
Come on guys it’s a horrible investment you to put that $3000 and 1983 and Coca-Cola or Berkshire Hathaway. It’ll be worth 50 times that.

0:32 why are you hiding those watches from the camera?
Because I am negotiating to buy them and owner asked me not to show them to anyone. Special pieces ;)
Enjoyable video
Glad you enjoyed it!
Camera man knew the job. 😂
No idea what you mean 🤣
