i'm not american (or english) so I didn't grow up on fairly oddparents, so a new wish as a first introduction to the franchise is amazing. I already love the show and the spinoff makes me want to give the og series a watch
The thing I always wondered about was if you had to utterly miserable to have Godparents but seeing as they’re looking after their god kid, I guess what they really want is to make a sad kids’s life happier. Seeing Cosmo and Wanda dote over Hazel is refreshing compared to them getting stressed out over Timmy’s shenanigans.
Agreed: it makes me nervous about how they’ll handle future episodes since this season wasn’t without its bumpy episodes. However, I do want to see what they’ll do in season 2
But you know how Nickelodeon is though. They favor SpongeBob over any other Nicktoon. They either get cancelled after only one season or two, or go through seasonal rot after only a couple of seasons in.
The Fairly Oddparents a new wish did save the original Fairly Oddparents series big time and im happy about it. I just hope in season 2 there a very special episode where adult Timmy Turner appears and hopefully Cosmo, Wanda and Peri (Poof) can have a reunion and spend time together. If only Jorgen and the fairy council let them i mean after everything that Cosmo, Wanda, Peri and Timmy is being through all those 57 years ( 50 years by the secret wish) and 7 years for real. I just that special episode will happen. Besides the original Fairly Oddparents is one of my personal favorite Nickelodeon shows in my childhood and now apart from SpongeBob of course. Also a nee wish series manage to save the original Fairly Oddparents show.
14:35 I belive that Hazel needs fairies, but She doesn't need Cosmo and Wanda. I think it would make more sense if Hazel had Peri and Dev had Cosmo and Wanda, but I can see why they didn't do that
Can't satisfy everyone. Cosmo and Wanda weren't her original fairies, Cookie was supposed to be assigned to her. Did you even watch the series? Don['t complain if you know nothing, clearly its not meant for you
@@suzygirl1843 I watched it. I know about Cookie. I know why in the show it wouldn't work, but if we talk about Who has whic godparents, not considering how the godkid and goparent met it would make more sense. And I'm not complaning it's a good show despite My oppinion. But, my reasoning for having this opinion is: Dev need parental love. And who can give better parental love than a married couple whit experience and a and already grown up child. Dev is also very simmilar to Timmy, so they would know how to handle Kids like Dev Hazel mostly needs support, and Cosmo and Wanda can give her the same support Peri can. And Peri is scared he's gonna fuck up, that's why he Always brings up Da Rules, amd Hazel would understand that a bit more.
@RatteKonigin Dev isn't the main character, he was basically put there as Hazels foil and to reintroduce us to Peri. Hazel is this iteration's main protagonist but Peri doesn't have the brand recognition to carry this show as the new Fairy God Parent. It's called Fairly Odd Parents (plural) and Hazel was always gonna be the new protagonist of the sequel series.
@@suzygirl1843 I Know Dev isn't the main caracter, I never said that, and I don't want him to be the maincaracter. It was clear he was set up be the "villain" at The End. But Dev is deffinetly not just there to be Hazels foil and to re-intruduce Peri. And if the show ended up doing what I said would make sense, the show would be much weaker, and broing, cuz we already seen simmilar concepts. And the show is great the Way it is (story vise). But for me it would make sense if the godkids were swaped, if it was a reál life story, not a show made to entertain people.
@@RatteKonigin They couldn't gamble on Peri. Literally ,this is the first time seeing him as an adult. Cosmo and Wanda have brand recognition and Hazel... was gonna receive backlash from the anti-woke crowd. Remember the backlash to the first concept last year?
what even happens if a godkid gets their godparent taken away but they get returned? do they just act like it's their first time meeting or do they get their memories from last time back?
The Fairly Oddparents was also one of my favorite shows growing up. I was a Nickelodeon fan so it is indeed one of the best Nickelodeon shows for many people. 4:53 seriously, is there any actual, *real* reason why many FOP fans hate Sparky? Was he not well-written or annoying? I think the writers actually intended to make him likable but somehow failed. Also, how would any of you react if someone said they actually *like* or even genuinely *LOVE* Sparky (an *EXTREMELY* unpopular opinion)?? Personally, I’d get curious and surprised at first, but I would try my best to respect respect their rare opinion after they explain why they like the hated character because, depending on the character, I sometimes find it relieving to discover people who actually, genuinely like a character (who isn’t *supposed* to be bad or annoying or anything like that, but somehow *is* to most people) that the majority of people *dislike* or even *hate*
He was basically Cosmos 2.0 when we still had Cosmos 1.0. Also his voice was really bad imo. He just added nothing to the show. Poof was a good addtion, becuase he allowed for them to tell some new stories and do new lore.... Sparky just felt added becuase they needed rarings.
They tried too hard to make Sparky a "quirky and cool talking pet" but they ended up making a wreckless, impulsive, frustating, annoying and boring hazard to anyone around him, besides that it added so little that even the show itself just forgot about his existence
@@AdrianGuzmanOfficial Thinking about this today due to another video; and I think I realized the real issue with Sparky. It's that he's another magical creature for Timmy. To quote another show "That's too much, man". If Sparky had been like Chesters dog, I think then it could work. Do a kinda Lilo and Stitch thing. Chester adopts a dog because he's lonely, doesn't realize it's a fairy dog until Timmy visits or something. You'd still have the magic dog stories but it'd really add something to the show with Timmy realizing someone else has a magical creature that's not a rival.
I still think this series is a sequel than a reboot for the original series since Cosmo, Wanda and Poof/Peri remembers Crocker, Vicky, Foop/Irep and Anti-Cosmo and Anti-Wanda, plus they are much older according to its wiki pages of the characters like Vicky for example since her bio states in the new wish that she is now 36 than when she was 16, so i expect the show might take place 20 years after the original series took place and think timmy and his friends should be 30 years old.
I alwaysed seen spongbob as the mario series and fop as the sonic series, its been throw some weird changes that upset or torn the fans but they still were liked by some, and they kept adding characters to the main cast
Hoping Nick will do the right thing is a long needed wish. If it wasn’t Soongebob (or more pricy to make like Avatar/Korra) then they either cancel it or (for Avatar/Korra) try to sabotage it. I, like many others, was actually pleasantly surprised this continuation is amazing and not a cash cow. While I do prefer more original ideas to get more love from the higher ups, I truly hope for the best with this show.
I don't dislike Hazel, I get and support why they went how they did with her... but the problem with her, is she's kinda boringly perfect. She's just a really nice girl that just cares so much for others, and her only major issues is she's moved... All her wishes end up feeling very... safe... There's almost no pushback at all, no real conflict or drama. You occasionally get a bit from Dev or the Prinicible but they're such minor characters at the start of the season. Wishes are made, they go wrong, they get undone and it doesnt feel like there is much for her to learn... at least not for the first 1/4 of the season. Its not until Dev actually becomes a character, with the Pizza episode, which he wasn't in the very early episodes. the series really picks up. Even Hazel's solo episodes seem to improve after this point. Hazel needs Dev to balance her out, it feels like after befreinding Dev her flaws become much more appearant and exaggerated, while she manages to tone down Dev's worst traits... at least till his daddy issues get the better of him. And I hate how the season ends, Hazel ends up with an almost too perfectly perfect happily ever after and Dev... seems doomed to be miserable. Again, I get why if they wanted to no end on any kind of cliffhanger... but it still just feels wrong to me.
Initially, I was apprehensive because I had watched the live-action Fairy Oddparents TV series, which was the biggest mistake of my life. I really despised that show, so when I heard about a new animated series coming out, I didn't have high expectations. I was like, "Not another one," but after watching a few episodes, I found it to be pretty good. I appreciate how they incorporate both old and new references in the series.
I think instead of Perry just changing his name (which is basically ‘they gave me a stupid name 😂) it would have been cute if Perry was his middle name and he just went by it. OR hear me out, he got married and took his wife’s last name Perrywinkle, and went by that.
Great video and great points! Only one major mistake: The full 'profile name' for Dev is "Dev Dimmadome, son of Dale Dimmadome and grandson of Doug Dimmadome, owner of the Dimmesdale Dimmedome."😂

No it didn't fop ended for a reason it needs to stay that way the show doesn't even give us a good reason why hazel needs faries and the animation looks plastic

I think what makes FOP A New Wish great is that Timmy is consistently implied to be the thing that changed Fairy World.
I think the fact butch was hardly involved in the show is why the sequel is good
I really like a new wish, it was fun to watch and the new intro theme is amazing! I love the animation and I love the character design it’s stunning.
I Do Hope They Make A SEASON 2.
yo tbh one thing that always supprises me abt benson is that he once spent 12k dollars on muscle man
DO YOU KNOW WHO ELSE SPENT 12,000 ON MUSCLE MAN?

Dev is also very simmilar to Timmy, so they would know how to handle Kids like Dev
Hazel mostly needs support, and Cosmo and Wanda can give her the same support Peri can.
Maybe Dev will become so miseravle that Peri will come back but since Dev forgot about Peri Dev will be nicer :D
what even happens if a godkid gets their godparent taken away but they get returned? do they just act like it's their first time meeting or do they get their memories from last time back?
A new wish brought me INTO fairly odd parents! I love cosmo and Wanda to death. Silly lovers.
The Fairly Oddparents was also one of my favorite shows growing up. I was a Nickelodeon fan so it is indeed one of the best Nickelodeon shows for many people. It wasn't my favorite Nickelodeon show, that honor goes to Avatar the Last Airbender because it was Avatar the Last Airbender, I don't have to explain that, but this was a close second
I loved A new wish so much, Hazel is fantastic. Desperately hoping for more seasons.
I am happy for seeing the love of the new series. I hope it will get more seasons.
Hazel has a similar tone in her voice as Timmy
Now that's how you make a **sequel**! Unlike the other shitty reboots nickelodeon has been overcooking lately. However this reboot (SEQUEL) was unneeded but it was a shocking to see that they actually gave a shit this time about this.
Acsually this is a sequel 🤓👆
@@LaciethemisfortuneActually it IS a reboot. This specific type of reboot is called a “Soft Reboot” ☝️🤓
Sequel…
@@manofwisdom000 sequel, reboot, whatever, at least this one isn't shitty, you get my point here?
I never though I'd be invested in the story of and fairly oddparents series
I can't wait for regular show, but I'm gonna watch it rn it's pretty interesting.😊🔥
Where do you watch it?
@YeepTuber-wt1bv I think you gotta type it in on Google, and it should say where to watch it.🤔😗
The new series SHOULD GET A SEASON TWO AND THAT IS FINAL. (we need a season two so we can see what REALLY happened with timmy turner)
Ninjago has been going on for over a decade AND STILL HYPE AS EVER
Hell ya
YASSSS
"Long before time had a name, the first Spinjutsu master created Ninjago using four elemental weapons"
Honestly I think it started mid but it got good quickly and this new season with the merge is great
@@FrancisTheBerd nah it started very good! Then seasons 3-6 were very good (season 6 IS MY ALL TIME FAVE) season 7 was mid. Seasons 8-10 was awesome !!(the Oni trilogy) Then season 11 was mid AF although the ice chapter was slightly better than the fire chapter. season 12 (prime empire) was pretty good. Not the best but I like how related to unagami. Season 13 WAS GODSEND!! WE FINALLY GOT OUR COLE SEASON!! The island and season 14 was also great and my soul died with Nya did SHE DID IT FOR JAY!! 😭 And crystalized was honestly mid. Tbh it could have been better. I will agree tho that dragons raising is amazing AND I JUST WANT JAY BACK I WANT HIM AHHHHHHHHHHH
16:41 MASTERPIECE
FOP a new wish is a fresh start and not staring timmy
Honesty butch not being related to a new wish was the best decision they could have made
The people who blindly hate this about tf out of me
this show breathed new life into this franchise especially with the new art style and actually aging up the characters and continuing continuity with the original show.
Well atleased they cancelled the fairly oddparents fairly odder because they are making the fairly oddparents a new wish season 2 but i hope the young timmy and young talking poof would return in the fairly oddparents season 11 after the fairly oddparents a new wish to be return in season 2 or to be now ended
I'm going to say it.
I don't think the show would be as good if Butch was involved
I don't know if anyone hates the character, just the era of the show associated with him. That, and what he represented.
@@AdrianGuzmanOfficial hopefully they apologized to the fans for this
I think Nickelodeon now knows how to make an actual reboot from multiple alterations, I mean many, I MEAN ALOT
I was a qubo kid so I never got watch the original show, only clips on UA-cam and even now I only see clips of new show it looks funny and cool.
You are correct, the show is a sequel. A lot of folks are incorrectly labeling it as a reboot.
I alwaysed seen spongbob as the mario series and fop as the sonic series, its been throw some weird changes that upset or torn the fans but they still were liked by some, and they kept adding characters to the main cast
Like this is way better than fairly odder! 😊👍
Funny thing; Peri means fairy in turkish!
Hazel is what Chloe SHOULD have been.
If you ask me they should have made timmy share his fairies with tootie
an actually good reboot??? no way
A good reboot for a bad show, its geniunely wild
Butch Hartman is an executive producer on a new wish
Completely agree.
BRUH MY BROTHER LOVES FAIRLY ODDER💀💀(ive never been so disappointed in him)
If this ever goes to streaming, I'm binge watching this (Doo Doo). I loved the original show
it's been confirmed to be coming to netflix this autumn, so keep an eye out ! :3
I think instead of Perry just changing his name (which is basically ‘they gave me a stupid name 😂) it would have been cute if Perry was his middle name and he just went by it. OR hear me out, he got married and took his wife’s last name Perrywinkle, and went by that.
1:40 Harry Potter in The Fairly Oddparents
Why Dev reminds me of bling bling from johnny test
I actually liked the movie with Kake, but I didn't get get to see the other two. I think.
I accidentally miss gendered poof/peri this time😂
Ducktales also got a good reboot
Imagine if it’s like super good and then it just randomly gets bad in future seasons
I’m scared
God!! I hope we don't get a Danny phantom reboot 🤦
You didnt Like a new wish
I don’t think it’s best show out there. However this is a good reboot tbh. And I’m someone who hate reboots
The original was goated, it just had too many seasons
It seems to be a more of a continuation or sequel than a reboot.
The new series first came about 3 months ago
Is it wasn’t for peri (poof) the show wouldn’t have this much popularity
Great video and great points!
Only one major mistake:
The full 'profile name' for Dev is "Dev Dimmadome, son of Dale Dimmadome and grandson of Doug Dimmadome, owner of the Dimmesdale Dimmedome."😂
Nice
Fun fact: they had to change poof’s name to peri cause in other countries, poof is a homophobic slur
This show has gotta do its best to not go under seasonal rot

You're crazy if you think it's one of the greatest cartoons of all time! It's barely one of the best cartoons on Nickelodeon.
@@RomaroBrandon it was also a staple of my childhood
I ain't saying it was the best but I did find myself enjoying it when I was on nickelodeon and honestly I can't disagree with him when he says it was one of the best cartoons on there🤷🏽♂️
@@KaprineTheFirst he didn't it was one of the greatest on Nickelodeon, I did. I watched it as a child too, I think it's a good show, not a great one and nowhere close to the greatest of all time. Seriously saying that means you're putting over shows like Kim Possible, ATLA, Ben 10, Ed, Edd, N Eddy, Billy & Mandy, FHFIF, etc. Is it Top 5 Best Nickelodeon Cartoons? Yes, but it should be at number five or number four in all honesty.

this is bad compared to the first first one but clhie episode were bad thease are just as bad as chloie episoide
No it didn't fop ended for a reason it needs to stay that way the show doesn't even give us a good reason why hazel needs faries and the animation looks plastic
The reason hazel has fairies even though she has a fairly decent life
Is cosmo and wanda(who both retired) actually volunteered to be her fairy, they weren't assigned to her
Also the animation(or rather the artstyle) is pretty great imo but of course not everyone has to like it and I respect that
