I'm a Brit I have holidayed in Greece many times. I love the Greek people, they are honest and hospitable. Unfortunately Greece has been shat on by the EU over the last 30 years. The Greek elites have refused to pay their taxes for many decades and the social system has broken down. Agression from Turkey, including smuggling immigrants into Greek territorial waters contributes to the decline. What The smaller economies of southern Europe need to do is look to escape the EU and join with Britain in creating a Europe that will not tolerate illegal immigration across the Med. By force is necessary.
It was a wild and very prosperous city during the Ottoman rule and had the largest population of Jews anywhere until WW2. Lots of Bulgarians/Macedonians once lived in that area too and many still do but now are Greeks. It was a very international city and lots of commerce. Not pleasant to see this side of what was such a great city…as far as the putas, Never on Sunday…

The name Thessaloniki is Greek cause Greeks found this city. During the ottoman empire many Greeks left the city to save their lives.....
