The legend on sax - Boots Randolph. When I was a kid, I loved watching him in the Million Dollar Band featured on Hee Haw.
Boots recorded for my Uncle Fred Fosters Monument Records. Had an opportunity many times to listen to him and talk with him. He was a great guy. Never took music lessons. I asked him how he was able to play the saxophone like that. He said he just talked into it.

He has such a bright sound for tenor sax! Wow! And as a clarinetist who plays in jazz, I try to match my sound to the sound of a tenor sax which usually is lower than clarinet. Great job!

Boots was the best. The first saxman I listened to. I copied everything I could. Sweet tone, growling, honky to keep, slap tongue, nobody did that other kids would ask me how I was doing stuff. Thanks Boots!

I love Gospel,always have;But i'm sure these folks have never heard THIS caliber of Sax Player before.Boots and Kenny G are the Greatest Sax players of all time IMO.Both Definitely the most commercially Succesful/Popular.
