The music is great on its own, but the story told by the music video really hits on a different level. Lindsey went on America’s Got Talent and made it to the quarter finals where the judges gave her some harsh criticisms, including where she was told that she just wasn’t good enough, which you can hear played in the early sections of this video. But instead of letting it get her down, she went on to make music the way she wanted and has gone on to put out tons of music and videos with over a 3 and a half billion views to date. The video tells a story of Lindsey who looks like she’s going to just walk away after being told she’s not good enough, but turns around and gets a glimpse at her future with the different scenes. Each scene is a glimpse of one of her videos and even some of her from her time on Dancing with the Stars. These glimpses show what she would be giving up should she walk away and she ends with telling herself that it’s not that she wasn’t good enough, it’s just that she wasn’t good enough “yet.” Powerful story.
