Can’t thank you enough for your great advice, I really hope that I had seen this video earlier. I’ve been struggling with liquid foundations for years - they all look cakey at some point no matter how I moisturise my skin - to the point I’ve given up foundation at all. After watching your videos I decided to give powder foundation a try. I purchased bare mineral powder foundation, paired with my real technique expert face brush and Mac fix primer. Using your advice, I buff small amount of powder each application to build up coverage. Can’t describe how amazing the finish looks on my skin!! It looks just like my own skin, so natural yet evens out my skin and does not emphasise the texture.
Here are some tips for dry skin I discovered from trials and errors:
1. A non oil-based moisturiser 1 to 2 mins before foundation seems to work better than oily moisturiser. I’ve tried embrolisse concentrated cream and simple aloe Vera gel on each side of my face, the side with the cream ended with accumulated powders patches.
2. Do not use too much force when buffing the powder foundation onto the face, lightly buff it in only.
3. Use a subtle amount of powder for each application.
4. Exfoliate the skin or use a hydrating mask to get rid of dead skin.
I hope everybody enjoy powder foundation.
My best makeup days are with powder foundation. Thanks for the tips!
This is a great video idea, thanks. Note:
MAC Fix+ is a finishing spray to take away the powdery look whereas a setting spray locks the makeup in; I feel on YT the two are used interchangeably & they're not the same thing.
Johanna Kitzenberger thanks for pointing that out - i often get confused
From the official MAC Website "PREP + PRIME FIX+ HYDRATING, REFRESHING, FINISHES MAKEUP, SETTING SPRAY". The company says it is a setting spray...
Carol Melancon ooher, I'm confused again 😔
Elaine Bines there's no alcohol substance in fix+ it's basically just mineral water - so no it is not a setting spray
Johanna Kitzenberger Yes, this is so true. I cringe when I hear these UA-camrs call fix-plus a setting spray. I'd think that they know better, especially if they're filming a "tutorial" which is meant to teach. Lol I know it's not that serious but it still frustrates me being that so many of us look to them to actually learn. Which is where my love for makeup began some years ago. I began using makeup late, like in my early 30's, I was clueless. Thankfully I had UA-cam to help but I'm noticing now that everyone wants to call themselves a MUA and have no clue. Anyway, sorry for the rant...lol
My love of Bare Minerals is how I found your channel! Your tips on technique and skin prep totally changed my powder foundation game. You are my number one, holy grail, can't get enough, powder foundation queen! All Hail Queen Shelby!!!!
Powder foundation always looks best on me. I’ve tried liquid and cream foundation and either I don’t get enough coverage or it looks cakey. I don’t have that problem with powder. I agree that a dense brush makes a world of difference! I haven’t tried setting spray, though, and am thankful for that recommendation! It will likely reduce powder transfer, too. As always, great video!
Tina Jones same here. I used to use liquid foundation, but when I use it now, it doesn't look good at all. I'm combo/oily, so powder foundation works best for me.
Tina Jones I
Idk how I found this video but I'm so glad yt recommended you! I freaking love powder foundation and no one else seems to care about it/use it! Your face looks amazing and those are good tips! I'm excited to watch more of your videos too you seem like a cool, real person and that's very refreshing! Keep doing you girl! Love the overalls!
you are amazing, you're the only person that has thoroughly explained on UA-cam on how to apply mineral make up. I remember seeing your video with bare minerals and that's when I was able to finally get the application on right, so thank U thank U thank U 😁
Thank you so much!!!
A tip i found useful, for the more mature, amongst us - is the original mineral veil - i use it as a finishing powder., after my original mineral foundation. I've tried all the 'new' products and would not repurchase in bare minerals line - only the original. The matt version ' i had to wash off - awful on me personally - and im combo skin. Great helpful video👍
Elaine Bines I’ve tried all their lines as well and the only one that works for me is the original line. I will be trying the veil on top to see if I have any success. Thx for the tip!
That’s why I bought it as well...I was like powder is powder no...no? So wouldn’t this work to set make up? Also it’s not bad for skin...
Like a lot of people i started following you because of your bare mineral videos. They are really the most helpful videos on powder foundation I have ever watched. I am glad to see you revisiting the topic!
Great video. It's nice to find someone dedicated to powder foundations. Jane Iredale is my favorite and I've been using it for years. Powder foundations are very misunderstood and underrated!
Shelby, I haven’t used powder in years, but after I found your channel and watched everything about Bare Minerals, I’m back in love with it. The tip you shared about layering the Original mineral foundation on top of Complexion Rescue is genius! My makeup stays fresh much longer in this hot humid weather. Thanks so much!
Notes I took as I listened
1: right formula. Eg the Studio Fix powder. Doesn’t require as much buffing. More user friendly for a beginner to powder foundation.
2: preparation. Moisturizer and or primer. Eye cream.
3: take your time. The more you buff the better. Work it into your skin.
4: the brush matters. Use a denser brush. The bareMinerals brush works best.
5: setting spray. Mac Fix Plus takes out the powdery look & locks it into your skin.
I have used bareMinerals original since 1995! I absolutely love this make up. When I try to switch to a liquid foundation it just does not work for me. But I always get compliments for my skin when I use the bareMinerals. Those were great tips that you gave everybody.
Thanks for the tips! I settled on Bareminerals years ago for the very practical reason that I don't wear foundation most days (usually a tinted moisturizer) so I wanted something that wouldn't expire quickly. Your videos were so helpful and got me on the fast track to mineral makeup success.
Really like your makeup. So many UA-camrs look way overdone or cakey. I like the glowy look to your skin.
Shelbey I found your channel about 5 years ago when I was researching on bare minerals and bc of you it’s one of my top 5 favorite foundations. I use bare minerals original almost everyday and it looks amazing on my skin!!
After watching Emily Noel’s recent video and binge watching your older videos, I’ve caved! My BareMinerals foundation should be here any day and I can’t wait!
Woo hoo! Hope you love it!
Same 🙌🏻
So how did you like it?? I tried to get it and the Ulta people talked me out of it....
non toxic tips : oil of jojoba + Alima pure satin mate foundation +Real technique buffing brush (learn the buffing technique) + Lily lolo makeup mist
When I first started using makeup I used powder. I think what steered me away was because I had no idea what I was doing lol. I just got interested in using it again and ordered the Mac Skinfinish. Can't wait now with the tips you offered I think I'll be back on the powder train, thank you!
Another great video!! I use BareMinerals and there are days that my skin is SO dry that I feel like “What is it?...” While I was doing my make up and watching this video, lastly I try setting spray, and it WORKS!! My make up sets really nicely within seconds and a little glow to it too. Thank you.
Yes! The skin prep step is a MUST.
I love bare minerals original foundation as well, it’s my most favorite foundation and I love it!!!!! I hope they never stop making it.
I've been wearing the Bare Minerals Original (loose) Foundation for 13 years now, I love it!
Normally the Bareminerals original foundation breaks up on me and I get super oily in hours! but using the Milk cosmetics hydrogrib primer is a life changer! It lasts all day and keeps my oily skin at bay 💪 I think it definitely depends on what primers you use
Brittany Alonge ❤️💪
I’ve been using bare minerals since 2001. You really do have the best tips for use. All the kits and TSVs that were on QVC pretty much always came with a Flawless Face Brush for foundation which is really not dense enough. I just started using Bare Pro and really like it.
AmyBEgirl... I think I know you from Mineral Madness!
helpfulnhappy 😲👍🏻 BE Addicts on Delphi, too. Both places were a lot of fun.
If you feel like chatting with some of us again, check out "Bubbles & Boo" on Delphi. We'd love to see you there!
I live in Athens which is hot and humid during the summer. I am 49 years old and I use the Mac Studio Fix powder in the summer for many many years. I don't have oily skin and my skin tends to get dehydrated easily. My secret is to let my moisturiser or spf suncream dry and then put Mac Strobe Cream on top and before it dries completely to buff the powder foundation in my skin with a kabuki brush. The Strobe cream does miracles it keeps the skin moisturised and luminous cause the powder foundation is matifying. When I finish with blush etc then I spray on the Mac Fix Plus and I don't bother with my makeup all day. Sometimes I use the Avene Thermal Water instead of Mac Fix Plus and it's the same thing.
I love your videos on powder foundation! Because of you I ran out and bought Bare Minerals original that i used to use years ago!! Your tips have been so helpful! Keep talking about powder foundation. I love it. 👍🏻👍🏻
I did the same thing. I never really got instructions about the importance of buffing and primer so I wasn't that sold on it. So the last ten years I just have used self tanner!
I have dry skin and a bit of texture and liquid always clings whether dewy or matte! Funny enough the only tip I follow from this video is setting spray lol powder somehow looks so natural and doesnt transfer as much as liquid. I even use the original sponge my foundation comes with and use swiping motions and even with moisturizer underneath it still looks great! Wish people realized the magic of powder foundation more lol its so quick, easy, and looks like skin. Spray is the key!
I love Sephora powder foundation! Game changer
Haven't tried it! Might pick it up on the next run :)
Shelby your make up looks luminous and beautiful
Thank you! xo
Shelbey Wilson what is the secret to your beautiful, luminous complexion?
I really like your makeup look. It looks natural and accents rather than hides your natural beauty. I don’t like makeup that is too heavily applied even when applied well.
Could you please do a full face routine with loose powder makeup? Like the loose powder eye shadows, blushes, foundation, etc...
I’ve been using bareminerals for over a decade! My all time favorite 💕💜
Jillian Rhodes 24 years for me 😍
Jillian Rhodes I used Bare Minerals for years but now that I’m in my 50s, I find it settles badly in my fine lines and wrinkles. I love the product but I can’t find a way to make it work for me any longer. It would be nice to be able to use it again because I don’t like liquid foundation.
Robin Moore maybe try using a Hydrating primer to plump your skin up a bit 😊
Jillian Rhodes I think I’m going to have to revisit Bare Minerals after watching this. Perhaps I was applying it incorrectly (too fast). Thanks for the suggestion! ☺️I’ll have to see if I can find one that also reduces the look of pores.
Robin Moore it’s worth a try! 😊🤷🏼♀️A light mist of finishing spray always helps me with that problem too!
Bare Minerals and the Laura Geller powder foundation are my favorites.
This is such a great set of tips for those starting to dabble in powder foundations. I know when I first tried them I failed to realize what a different animal it was in terms of prep and application but once I figured some of that stuff out I was so much happier with it than liquid.
I just ordered Bareminerals original powder foundation! I am hoping that it works well with my skin. I've been using liquid foundation for years now., but need a change. I've heard it's a good foundation so I'm excited to try it!
I love your videos that I've seen so far! Thanks so much for all the tips!
I keep getting darker and darker from the sun. I just recently started dabbling in BM powder foundation. I heard from Emilynoel to check out your channel and it looks much better now. I just need every color from the original and matte line. Lol.
Thank you for the tip about the BareM brush!!
Been wearing Bare Minerals for 15 years and counting. I also use a primer as part of my prep routine to help my makeup last. A must with oily/combination skin.
Which primer do you use?
I have used Bare Minerals Prime Time, but right now I'm using Benefit Pore Professional or Urban Decay's Deslick matte, and setting spray---UDs deslick. No primer under eyes for me though. Hope this helps.
I have dry skin and had never given powder foundation a try. After your video on bare minerals (the most recent one with the importance of buffing) I had to give it a try and I absolutely love love love it. 😘 now I will always have it in my collection ❤️ love all of your videos.
Spot on recommendations for powder!! I have lots of BM powders and I also have the same brush that I love! I alternate from a liquid to a powder and I love the finishes of both!
LOVE your braces!! I also had them as an adult. Small pain in the ass and slightly goofy-feeling (to me) but WELL worth it. Hope you’re pleased with your results. I was-best money I ever spent.
I haven't seen anyone talk about the Pur 4 in 1 pressed powder foundation here. I don't like loose powder foundations, and the It Celebration foundation made my oily-mature-textured skin look too dry and wrinkly. The Pur gives me medium coverage with just a touch of glow. I use the Elf Oil Control Primer Spray underneath it to help with the oilyness. ~Anastacia in Cleveland
Your video is about powder foundation but I can’t take my eyes off your Laura Mercer bronzer (soleil) eye shadow. I love it.
Beautiful look in this video, Shelby. So natural. You look lit from within. 😊
Super helpful, as always! I just bought the Clinique powder foundation on a whim. Need a more dense brush! Thanks all the way from Australia, Shelby!
Thanks for all your helpful tips. I tried Bare Minerals, but now I understand better how to use after seeing your videos and Emily Noel. I also have Laura Geller and Pur which are both great. IMO
The spraying of Mac Fix+ or similar type of spray is very very on point! It really makes the difference between the foundation looking like its on top of the skin or blended to become one with the skin. I've been switching off and on between the Mac spray and Caudalies Beauty Elixir spray (the Caudalie one has the most perfect soft mist that covers the whole face is just 2 quick sprays) but both work fantastic. Even Mario facial mists work pretty nicely but you need to watch out for spray because the water droplets are big so you need to make sure your face is at least 10-12 inches from the bottle sprayer. I'm definitely going to try that Bareminerals beautiful finish brush, it looks very dense but still nice movement of the bristles. I can't stand when the brushes are too densely packed and they don't move around the face very easily.
Just followed your tips and they made a world of difference on my face! Thanks 🙏
That's awesome! Thank you!
HEY!! Try Laura Geller’s!! I am 62 years OLD, very dry and it’s really, really good.
I use the ArtDeco mineral powder foundation, and i recently started baking with a translucent setting powder on top of it. I don't know if this i recommended or not considering that it's even more powder on your face, but it really works for me and the foundation lasts a lot longer on my skin. My skin doesn't feel cakey at all, and it fills in my pores. It also gives me the highlighted effect that i didn't get before because i never use a concealer with my powder foundation. Just a little tip from me in case anyone wants to try it :) Also excuse my english, i'm Norwegian so english is not my first language
Girl, you are glowing...literally radiating...you look fab ❤
Thanks love!!! xo
Just found your channel about a week ago and have watched a ridiculous amount of videos since 🙃 I use only cruelty-free makeup brands so I can't try the MAC or Clinique ones but I went out and bought the Bare Minerals Original yesterday and can't wait to give it a try. Thank you so much for all of your videos and numerous tips and tricks. Keeping my fingers crossed that they work! Really loving your channel and videos in general as well. So glad I found you! 💛
Thank you so much! So glad you are enjoying the videos! :D
I have dry skin, but strangely it looks more powdery when I moisturize beforehand than if I don't.
Such lovely makeup that you're wearing! 😊
The formula of the powder foundation also matters. I’m 56 & have been using Bare Minerals since they first came out on QVC. I’ve seen other powder foundations & if they have Talc in it, don’t use it. It does nothing for your skin & inhaling it can also damage your lungs. BM is a powder that almost goes on like a cream. Do not over apply it. I’ve seen reviews from those who say they don’t like it as they look Chalky. If that’s the case, you are applying too much. Even if you want to keep on buffing, stop when you have enough coverage. I also recommend the mineral veil to set the makeup. You don’t need a spray. I do not recommend the Matte version of the foundation unless you are really oily. It can tend to make normal/dry skin look very flat or dull & dry. I also don’t recommend the pressed powder version as there is a lot of fallout when you apply the brush to the product, plus the shades are different from the loose powder.
Thank you so much! I'm going to try my powder foundations again!
I’d like to see you do an Instagram baddie look ... you’re always so natural.
I agree with you 👍🏻 I noticed that original foundation did separate on my oily skin and even I couldn’t make it work with Bareminerals brush. I change the foundation for Blemish Remedy foundation from Bareminerals and it made such a difference that I wear it until today!☺️
Really? I hate the blemish remedy foundation. I feel like it offers almost zero coverage, even when taking time to build and buff into skin. I always thought it was weird that a foundation marketed to people with acne and blemishes does literally nothing to cover said blemishes. Maybe it is just me, but I was very disappointed with that particular line. I have the original, bare pro powder and liquid, and the complexion rescue from bare minerals. I like all of them 10x better than the blemish remedy.
Hi Shelby love your tips. Ordered my BM all the way from South Africa and in neutral ivory per your video. Hope colour is a fit as have similar colouring to you. Can't wait to get it and also searching for their brush now.
Ugh I miss powder foundation! Age has transitioned my skin to very dry and cannot wear them as I used too. Mac Studio was my 90s HG-taking me back! Y’all there are so many Indy mineral foundation brands on the web that make excellent products.
I'm 61 and have used pressed powder foundation (presently GloMinerals) for years, but it's funny that most beauty YTbers warn against using PF on "mature" skin. WRONG. Yes, it looks a little powdery at first, but melts with the warmth of your skin into the most beautiful finish I've every had.
Love me some powder foundation!! Bare minerals and Mac studio fix powder are my go to foundations! For some reason I can never get liquids and creams to look natural. I know ppl usually say the opposite, but for some reason powders just look so much more natural on my skin. And sometimes using a fluffy brush is the way to go if you are looking for light coverage. I have freckles from head to toe, so full coverage on my face always looks super strange bc it doesn’t match the rest of my body. Btw love u and your accent, makes me miss the south so much!! Born and raised in a small Florida town and currently live in jersey 🙄🙄. Thanks for all the tips and tricks! Xoxo
The problems with mine is that you ALWAYS see more skin texture, i buff it in , use the correct primer etc finishing spray ! But in the end my skin looked more textured -and i have good skin- so yea bummer
Thank you Shelby. Needed this video.
If I'm not using my liquid foundation I always go for my mineral makeup. I don't use BM though but this makes me want to buy some and compare it to what I use. Appreciate the tips. I always love your makeup.
Thank you! You should definitely give it a try :)
What do you use instead?
Come back and post if you ever get BM to compare the 2. I'm curious with all the different ones on the market how they hold up! :)
Thanks so much 👍🏼 I can’t tell you how much your videos and good advices have helped me! Bareminerals is also my favourite mineral powder, now at least, because it wasn’t in the beginning. But ever since I learned how to put it on, I am so thrilled to use it.
Can you do a tutorial using all loose powders, eye shadows, foundation, blush, etc... thank you so much.
Huge hello & thanks to you Shelbey for any video on the Bareminerals line! I went back to it 2 yrs ago thanks to you & finding your channel. You have the best most qualified backround on the line bar none.
Pls continue to do video's (product reviews, etc. & especially how to tutorials). I now know it's the best for my 58 yr old combo/acne prone skin, but no one seems to know how to apply their products/foundation etc. like you, thank you!
Great job girl. I need one of those new foundation brushes. I LOVE original BM foundation. I have been using it every since it came out on a tv infomercial. Maybe 20 years ago? Maybe closer to 30 years. I love how I can blend more than one shade together to get a perfect match. I do not run from the sun, so my face does get a little darker in the summer. So my skin color changes constantly from winter to summer. Also. I have a problem finding the perfect base and transition shade for my eyes. bare minerals foundation works great as an eye shadow too. I can blend it to my perfect color. I hate liquid foundation. I could never find the color I needed. I hate the strong perfume fragrance in them and I hate the way they feel on my skin. I always feel like my face needs washing. Bare minerals original powder foundation feels like nothing on my skin. I don't even know I am wearing it. I sometimes look in the mirror to make sure I didn't forget to put it on. I have been known to do my eyes first and totally forget the foundation, until I look in the mirror. oops. and as a note. I am now 59 years old. BM works as good for me today as it did when I first got it in my 20s or 30s. Can't remember exactly how old I was when I found it.
Tarte Amazonian clay powder foundation is amazing.
Is it full- coverage?
Deborah Woodin yes!
@@nicoleschwanger609 ok ty
The only way I lije the IT Cosmetics Celebration powder foundaton, is as a setting powder over the IT Cosmetics CC cream. This way rocks!
U r just beautiful😍❤✨ and very very honest... Must tell u tht this was the most helpful video for me at least cause I just adore powder foundation more than a liquid foundation.... And ur tips really helped me and I will definitely try all the tricks and tips that u have given to us..... Thanks a lot beautiful.... Keep smiling and I am looking forward for ur next video🎥... By the way this is the first time I bumped into ur video.... And I am so happy that I did.... Love❤❤❤❤❤ you... Muuuuah.....
every time i watch your videos, it makes me want to dig into my makeup drawer and use bare minerals original foundation. i'm extremely dry too and i stopped using for a long time because it wasn't giving me that natural, flawless finish. but after watching your videos, it made me try things different and i think i finally was able to make it work! now i remember why i loved it in the first place 10 years ago :)
I love the NYX hydra matte powder and also the Cover FX mineral powder foundation
Very helpful! I will pick up the BareMinerals powder brush. Thanks! 💐💕
As on budget due to corona in Uk and no more work .. used puremagicminerals home run uk company bought 2 medium type shades and was given 3rd free all 8g and other little samples and a veil product absolutely brilliant ..will use when I travel now in 2021 ..as don't want to bring heavy weight liquids; have combo skin with dark circles under eyes ...to be honest was sceptical but actually works... amazing value... replaces what I used to apply micabella ...a very costly alternative
Hi Shelby, I am new to the Bareminerals originals foundation and I have been trying it for a couple of weeks now. So far I am loving it and I am trying to get the best results out of it.
A big shout out for your tutorials, I am loving them . Can you tell me how long I need to buff per section? I am nearly 50 years old, are there any usefull tips considering my age?
Thank you for this video❤️ I just bought the starter kit from bare minerals and I def needed some tips so thank you again ☺️
What are the products you are using in this video? I have been using bareminerals for over 10 years used to love it but lately not so much. What primer do you suggest for combination skin?
You give such great info on the mineral foundation! I bought their primer (BM’ and I do have the correct brush so I am going for it! Thanks 🙏
You're a lifesaver I swear
Love your videos! I’ve used Mac studio fix for years - love it!!
How many minutes on average do you spend buffing the foundation? Just to get an idea of how long I should spend on this step. Thanks 😊
I use the same powder you use. But, how do you get between your eyebrows and between your eyes and nose area?
Thanks for this! So the last time I tried a powder foundation, it was CoverFX, and my skin felt tight and dry. Just assumed it was a sign that powder wasn’t for me. But now I’m wondering. I DO moisturize, and my mature skin is in good shape. Wondering now if it was my application? Will try again!
Have you tried the Cover Fx pressed powder foundation? I love their cream foundations and their formulas don’t break me out, but I’ve never heard anyone talk about their powder formula.
Hi there, I don’t know if this comment will lead anywhere lol but anyway, I was wondering if you have a review of the Bareminerals Matte Foundation. I just purchased it today and I am not sure if I am applying it correctly .. or if it is just not for me. Would you recommend using a fixing spray like Mac Fix + to receive a nicer skin like finish? I loved the Bareminerals Original however my skin reacted badly to the bismuth.
I’m so sorry I commented before finishing the video ha I will grab the Mac Fix + , however if you could recommend something that is similar but maybe a bit more natural or green at Sephora that would be great! I want my skin to look as gorgeous as yours ☺️
I used mineral powder foundation for 20 yrs and loved the coverage and finish. Now, I find that buffing in powder foundation irritates my rosacea causing redness and tiny pustules on the surface of my skin. I regularly cleansed my brushes and tried different brands of powder foundation, brushes and techniques without success. The dense brushes were the worst for my skin. Sadly, mineral foundation just doesn't work for me anymore.
I’m having the exact same problem. Can’t see to wear it anymore without breaking out and irritating my skin.
Hi Shelbey, I’m new to using Bare Minerals ... I just started using the BM Original powder in the color “Golden Beige - 13”. So, I’ve been loving your videos. However, I have a few questions. First off, I was thinking of getting the BM pressed powder to carry with me on the go ... does it work like that or do you have to buff that like the powder? If I can use it that way, what color do you recommend? I was thinking maybe “Golden Nude 13”? I’m half Japanese, so have a yellow tone to my skin. Also, I’m 57yo, and I have dark under eyes and several age spots that I’m trying to cover ... my skin is dry and I have a lot of wrinkles on my face and especially under/around my eyes.... I also purchased the powder concealer in “Summer Bisque”, but, haven’t tried that yet and not sure how/when to apply that with the foundation? I also purchased the Prime Time Brightening Primer, Faux Tan Bronzer, Blush in “Golden Gate” and the Beautiful Finish Brush ... so planning to incorporate all of those items. I’m hoping that these “powder” products will look ok on my skin ... so far I’ve experimented with the powder foundation and that seemed to go on pretty well and look decent, but didn’t cover my age spots. I didn’t put it under my eyes ... just used a color corrector and liquid concealer. Can you give me recommendations on how/when to apply the powder concealer? I’m wondering if I should have gone with all the BM liquid products, but was hoping that the powders would work. Thanks so much! XO from MN, Stephanie
So I just got the Original foundation from bareminerals this week. I've used liquid foundation for years, but felt like I needed a change. I would say, I have oil spots around my nose, dryness on my eyelids and otherwise pretty normal everywhere else. I have pretty light skin and freckles. My pores are biggest on my nose. I just bought the reccomended face primer that goes with the original bareminerals foundation. Is there anything else I should try? Products that you would reccomend, I guess??❤
I used to be very much into “Everyday Minerals” brand but haven’t used it for years. Have you used, do you have any indie-brand type recommendations for mineral powders?
Have you tried Milani foundation? If so any tips on how to choose the correct shade for winter and summer? Can you use liquid foundation under powder foundation?I have bare minerals but,I don't think it looks good on me.The bare minerals brush that I was told to buy ,releases lots of hair and it is very rough.Accept I don't get very oily.I ordered a Real Techniques dense brush,I'm hoping it works.I use the IT foundation under bare minerals,it does get cakey.
So I'm super confused with the shade range. Today I went into Sephora and went to see what shade would match me, I am definitely not the palest, but thought the foundations were quite dark and yellow in tone. I would think I'd have to go for the lightest shade which makes no sense because in all other foundations I'm between the 3-6th lightest shades. Thoughts?
I used bareminerals for years, but lately it has made my face itch. Maybe it's expired. I really love Laura Gellar.
Do you put on setting spray AFTER applying setting powder or do you use setting spray INSTEAD OF finishing powder?
Great suggestions. I use the BM Original formula and top it with their Mineral Veil finishing powder. I don't see much of a difference at first using the finishing powder, but I would assume it helps with oil control and longevity of the foundation. Do you suggest using a finishing powder since it wasn't mentioned in the steps you did in the video? If you do, which one you would suggest?
Sorry about the wrong name, mine is jill clegg. Jon is my hubby. I'll need to find out how to change it.lol
I have worn bareminerals for over 10 years but lately it isn't working the same ☹️
How would or do you them apply cream blush, bronzer with a powder foundation?. Great video dear!!
I use a cream blush before my Neutrogena Mineral foundation and it works really well!!
