If not for Man of Steel, I wouldn’t have found my purpose as a Hawaiian indie comic creator. Zacks deconstructive style allowed me to see that heroes can be human and have more flaws than redemptive qualities

Zack says he doesn't write comedy well, but from what I’m watching, he does. It's organic and in line with the context of the existing scene. It’s not just about hitting someone's head with a hammer out of nowhere
Well said. Exactly. Too many films, especially CBMs have jokes flying every five minutes or scenes revolving around gags. Alot of it is not done well and it ends up feeling forced. It's much better when there us humor in a film and it's organic then it feels sincere. There's a difference between humor in a film, and it just becoming a comedy, and alot of CBMs are just a new spin on action comedy blockbusters
@@Sefaso The studio put together the Ultimate Cut and added Tales of the Black Freighter. Watchmen: Director's Cut is Zack's movie. Zack always intended TBF to be separate.
That scene where Barry travels back in time, a culmination of Zack directing, vibe of the movie leading up to it, the music, everything hit perfectly. That’s the one thing I wanted to hear from Zack lol and to ask if that scene was exactly or close to what he wanted for it. Cuz it was so fucking moving, chills on the arm.
You're not alone, that scene was voted the 2022 Oscars cheer moment. It reminded me of the scene where Clark destroys the world engine in Man of Steel. Both still gives me the chills today.
Zack revealing that he hardly ever needed to do reshoots is mind-boggling. It only proves how much of a visionary director he is, where he shoots everything he needs during principal photography!
His method of storyboarding everything out likely contributes to that a great deal. Other directors might realise they need certain small scenes or links only while shooting whereas Zack has nearly every shot visualised prior to shooting.
Can you guys get Christopher Nolan for an interview he is my favourite director, and I would like to thank you all cause I'm learning a lot through this series of videos I appreciate you

U see the mutual respect they have for each other, they recognise each other as Masters of their craft and try to learn from each other. That's so beautiful. And yet we have the two fandoms beefing each other so hard, it's despicable. These guys basically represent the Old MCU vs DCEU, yet there's no rivalry between them. The fandoms should learn from them.
I'd love to see all three plus James Gunn collaborate. I wouldn't be surprised if they could produce some interesting stuff. This was great, you can see Zack’s passion for movie making. A big TY Russo brothers for bringing this to us. You guys are also great and can’t wait to see what u guys have in the pipeline
Zack snyder is making movies in a very simple time, his style is not acceptable with such a simple generation, he wants to have a tone but the companies only think about being like everything else, that's why the cinema no longer distinguishes like before.

I was reminded that James Gunn worked with Zack on Dawn Of The Dead. I think it would be a good idea for WB to bring back Zack and have him work in tandem with James. I think the two could bring us some amazing stuff. Then you could add the Russos, and maybe Marcus and McFeely (the latter being often dismissed even though they're a big factor in the success of the 4 MCU/Russo movies) and see what they come up with. They all seem to have at least some respect for the source material and the fanbase, hence why they're part of such beloved movies. Not all are mega hits of course, but I'd argue they all stand above the bulk of comic book movies we've got in the modern era. Cheers from France! 🍻
