Is there a way to create a patch that has two (or more) aliases in it? e.g., you want to create a patch where you have strings in the lower range and a celeste in the upper range. You have both strips in the master folder but want to alias both the celeste and strings in a new patch.
@@KevinLynchMusic - That's the problem. I can't figure out how to add a second alias channel strip instrument in an existing patch already in a song. Creating the patch with a single alias isn't an issue. Adding a second alias to that same patch later on is what I can't get my head around. Whenever I try to add an additional (second) channel strip in the Channel Strip window there doesn't seem to be a way to make it an alias. The only way I've found to do it is by creating a patch with multiple instruments and then aliasing back to that patch. But sometimes I just want to add a second alias to an existing patch (sometimes at the last minute) and don't want to create a whole new patch in my patch list to alias from.
Hi Kenny you are great! I've been following you for a long time, thanks for your videos! I ask you please if you can explain or share with me the musical theater template layout? Thank you
I’m gonna guess it’s the organ patches?? If it is you’ll have to change the ped assignment in the sample library to be mod wheel and then the sustain becomes sustain again

Yo Kevin! I enjoy your videos very much! I LOVE your musical theatre breakdown videos. Also, I've just started to deal with MainStage. Do you, by any chance, give lessons? I just programmed a concert with a lot of heavy patches (that is, multiple layers, samples, etc.) and, by no surprise, any time I switch from one patch to the other, it LAGS. Due to the fact that many of my sets are medleys, latency (>1s) is completely unacceptable. It actually cuts off my previous patch every now and then. I've been reading into this topic on various websites but I just don't seem to get to the bottom of my MS problems. So I thought, it would be great if someone could have a look at my concert and teach me how to improve my MS concert. Anyways, keep up the good work! All the best from Germany, Lukas
I’ve only watched 2.5 minutes so far and I can already tell I’m going to learn so much from you. Thank you 🙏🏼

Yes, you should be able to copy the original channel strip and load it into 1 patch in the channel strip section. That should do it.

Having an issue where my volume pedal won't work for specific patches or all sounds in a layer. Thoughts?
