Traditional roof cover from aspen shavings, chips (wooden planks)

The roofing from aspen shavings (chips) is still popular in Poland. It is made from small planks made from aspen, but those planks are not a boards but shavings, wood chips. They are very elastic in one way.
The roof cover is 5-8 cm thick, so it is really durable and not only waterproof, but alse heat and cold resistant. It can last about 25-30 years without repairs.
It was invented in Polish (slavs) villages years ago.
