@@StarLight-lt2tm it did feel a bit more here than normal ones. Especially when he started talking about himself, and she was asking questions and listening. Not to say that it doesnt happen ever on the show.
You can tell she is an empathetic person from small details like thinking of the host's health or the sauce companies' excitement at getting featured. Doesn't in itself make her a good person, but explains part of her acting talent.
I hardly ever gush about Hollywood stars because they already have more than enough but YES YES, I agree, she strikes me as someone I would want to hang around with or work with on a daily basis.
@deepfreezevideo same! I'm not really into keeping up with hollywood, but she's always been one of the few really genuine down to earth people in that line of work and "lifestyle".
What planet do you live in? She’s one of the most entitled mean celebrities in Hollywood. She’s the worst and openly admits to not having patience for fans and saying that she’s rude and doesn’t care. Her words!
That was definitely one of the most realistic reactions to the sauces I’ve seen. The questions were great, as usual, and I really appreciate how funny and self-aware she is. God bless you, Jennifer!
i love how she explained that her ruining the white dress with dirt was so disrespectful towards the costume department. i've seen some celebrities destroying prop which they shouldn't and they didn't utter a single sorry. they just laughed like a spoiled brat not knowing they just added a workload to the crew
1. She explained it wasn’t intentional 2. They probably didn’t tell her that, she said she thought they had backup dresses, which is logical, so she didn’t worry about dirtying them. Also you can just clean the dress lol, unless she like ripped it you don’t need to make a whole new dress
When I was on the set of aqua man, Jason momoa would always do extreme muscle training right after costumes were made. He did this so that he could flex and rip the costume that was now too small for him. Wardrobe had to make 7 aqua man suits by the end of it, delayed the film by months.
I think this episode reminded all of us why the 2010s were the Jenniffer Lawrence decade. She’s so genuine and strong with such a humorous approach to life, but she’s also very vulnerable and expressive. She’s a treasure, and I hope she has great success no matter what choices she makes professionally
I never really cared about her or cared for her "big" movies like Hunger Games but she was great in Mother and I fell in love with her in No Hard Feelings. It was a better comedy by far than I expected.
Her answer about Elf is so smart and considered and keyed in to the risks and vulnerabilities of comedy. She’s probably an incredible producer to have in the room.
I live for the background laughter of the crew in these episodes. If I were a guest on the show, I'd feel like a success if my reactions and honesty made the crew laugh.
Sounds like a dream job being her publicist. Imagine getting paid to travel and hang out with her on a promotion tour, but also during the down time just being able to post countless clips of her infectious laugh on social media.
So, despite not even close to handling it like "a Boss", she "handled it all like a boss". Nah, that's just soft bigotry of low expectations ;) Yes, she is beautiful and a good actor, and seems like a really decent and witty person. But crying last half of the session and not putting on any traditional extra on the last one. She didn't handle this like "a boss" at all. She handled it just as badly as most of us would.
17:08 tears and snot coming out is exactly what i would expect from this interview with Jennifer Lawrence. her no filter and no holds barred attitude is part of her appeal.
I love how she's also sort of interviewing him. Shows how beautiful a person she is not to just wait for questions but to also engage and take an interest in him too. Such a lovely person she is, both inside and out.
Wow, Jennifer Lawrence really impressed me with her spice tolerance and her humor. She was so honest and funny about how the wings affected her. I liked how she described the flavor of each sauce. She’s such a talented and genuine person!
Sean is such a good vibe setter/matcher of energy. The most vulnerable guests he empathizes with, and the funniest ones he laughs with/at. He will clean a wing or take one bite or sip water at their pace so they don’t feel pressured. He seems like such a nice guy
Definitely. I wonder if it's just him being considerate or if he really does experience some "sympathy pain." Every now and then you see him having a harder time than a guest, so I really do believe he's not just some freak with no spice sensitivity.
Her stages of grief at the last bottle is top notch. It's just so funny. She starts by being comfy, then curious, then scared about whats next, to crying.
Sean is so good at mirroring his guests. If they're in pain, he feels pain. He drinks and eats what they eat. I think he works really hard to let them feel completely in their own realm.
the 'what do you mean' moment was absolutely hilarious and showed a genuinely wide range of emotions -- and it's so lovely then recognising her ability to toggle between these emotions in her acting, too, while watching the real thing.
Jennifer Lawrence has always been such a fascinating person to listen to, but this is just a next-level amazing. Thank you to the whole show for giving us long shots, unedited J. Law screen time, and her candid responses. This is perfect.
Sean has to be the most sadistic-kindest person. He is so gentle with guest as they die. He pretends to be dying as they die. He knows he isn't bothered by this stuff at this point, lol. He is the best. Go Sean!
@@gymkhana1128 Spice has a funny way though, yeah sure you might be okay to eat the same spice for a wee bit but there always will be a strain out there that will destroy you and other spices you may have been alright to eat make you feel how hot they are again eventually hahah :) There is a reason why it says you can become tolerant but never immune 😂 If he took a month to 5 month break without spice he is definitely going to feel it again I reckon 😂
@@gymkhana1128 I go through a phase of near-addiction of extremely spicy food every so often, like making carolina reaper pesto and putting it on everything, and it doesn't really go numb, you just get better at handling the sensation, you mentally adapt to it. I'd say it feels the same, but the panicky response where your body tells you something's urgently wrong (which makes everything worse) goes away, and it becomes more about getting high from the heat, if that makes sense. I guess it's kinda like some people who need to get an injection every day or multiple times daily vs those who get them rarely, their nervous system has learned not to panic about it, so they aren't as affected by it, even if they still are actually feeling the same sting, just more "casually".
Sometimes I forget JLaw is just like the most regular person in interviews & genuine human interactions, and she never boasts or gives off spoiled rich kid vibes. She is just a natural comedic & here for the vibes and I love that about her. Such a joy to watch, and this did not disappoint :)
She's so funny and down to earth - this is peak Jlaw. But much love for Sean - what a gem. You could tell he felt so bad for her and wanted to help her through. He always matches what the guest is doing (going for water, etc.) and it's both so sweet and masterful.
What’s great about this episode (and JLaw) is that she asks Sean really great, thoughtful, questions too. These two are actually so similar to each other- insane chemistry!
Gotta admit she wasn't too much into the whole process tho. No extra dab in the end, meh. Of course you can tell she's quite sensitive to spices, I don't think I've seen anyone tear up as much before :D

i love how she explained that her ruining the white dress with dirt was so disrespectful towards the costume department. i've seen some celebrities destroying prop which they shouldn't and they didn't utter a single sorry. they just laughed like a spoiled brat not knowing they just added a workload to the crew
I really liked that moment too. I think some of them just don't think about it, or have the "oh well, it's their job" attitude about it.
would the prime example of destroying a prop be alec baldwin's incident? 🤔😮
1. She explained it wasn’t intentional

Sean is such a good vibe setter/matcher of energy. The most vulnerable guests he empathizes with, and the funniest ones he laughs with/at. He will clean a wing or take one bite or sip water at their pace so they don’t feel pressured. He seems like such a nice guy
My favorite part of the show is watching him drink when they drink and watching him react the same way they do to the wings. Feel like it’s his craft.
He always seems super nervous though, even after meeting dozens of high end celebrities.
I never really noticed that before!!
Definitely. I wonder if it's just him being considerate or if he really does experience some "sympathy pain." Every now and then you see him having a harder time than a guest, so I really do believe he's not just some freak with no spice sensitivity.
