Her point about needing more light,, not only dark, in tv and movies, is a good one. I wish her show God's Favorite Idiot had continued. Main character was so genuine, and the message so positive. An antidote to so much negativity, greed, and violence all around us these days.

Melissa is just so clearly Den Mother Lovely. Like, she's a walking safe space. Warm, hilarious... And just brilliant. Success could have not come to a better person. So glad she survived Hot Ones with minimal trauma 😎
I've loved her since Gilmore Girls and the love just keeps growing. She's a true gem 💎
My favorite all-time series is Gilmore Girls totally, really love her in that every time I re-watch that series over & over from the pilot to them coming back to our fans to do the Fall, Winter Spring, and Summer New ones. I just hated that those 4 didn't have the dad Richard Gilmore in them since we lost him. I loved Daddy Gilmore so much, his character was kind, caring, and sweet & he was definitely fatherly like my dad was. I lost my Dad in Oct 2001. Melissa, you were a real trooper on this Hot one, I knew you could do that girl & take care & Love ya always Melissa Mc Carthy...
She’s in Gilmore girls?!!
@@ll2323so you’ve never watched it then 😂
@@thethirsthokage no my mom did and would make us watch it. So, would hate watch it by not pay attention why so ever.
@@ll2323 😂😂😂 I did the same with my mom and Golden Girls and now I absolutely love it 😂
The best guest yet. She powered through it and didn't give up even though she was struggling from the first wing 😂 bring her back in future
When I saw her struggling on the first wing I was like, “oh…oh no…” 😂
@@nicky740😅
I doubt she’ll be back EVER
I don't think she will ever do this again, lol
« Comedies are important, they bring people together » so true. used to watch them with my gma before she passed all the time. was a big part of our bonding.
I am just constantly amazed at the way Sean adapts to his guests experience - meeting them exactly where they are at with their spicy feelings ❤
Totally agree! And he's is absolutely one of the best interviewers, I love when the guests are so impressed with his questions.
he has the diplomatic and psychologically caring skills of a good therapist, not kidding..
Out of the hundreds of Hot Ones episodes I've seen, I don't think I've ever laughed this much. Her energy is so inviting and her humor is contagious. Such a gem!
She’s a great story teller. Had no idea where Sean was going with that tornado question but that was really intense
I totally lost it when she said the following.
'I hate you', 'You have the shitiest job on earth'.
At one point, she gave him the finger. LOL LOL LOL
Her point about needing more light,, not only dark, in tv and movies, is a good one. I wish her show God's Favorite Idiot had continued. Main character was so genuine, and the message so positive. An antidote to so much negativity, greed, and violence all around us these days.
She's right that we need comedy in our lives, and stories that make us laugh, cry, angry, moved, hopeful, yeah all of the above. I love her outlook on the subject.
“I think bad comedies don’t work, and I I think bad movies don’t work” was a phenomenal quote I wasn’t expecting from this interview
And beautiful in context including the context where she’s already kind of miserable from these wings
And The Little Mermaid is a bad movie.
@@garygemmell3488oh? All I've heard is that it isn't super well lit
@@garygemmell3488It was good-- it had it's issues, but it still hit the mark and made the story clearer. Did you watch?
My favorite thing about this interview is how she gradually turns into a Melissa McCarthy character as she unravels
I have a newfound respect for her now. I'm also dying that she basically did a whip it on camera
YES THAT KILLED ME
I know I'm kind of dying. Her voice drops, she proceeds to hold it a bit, then exhales and blinks a whole bunch. I'm like wait did I just see that.
Looked for and found exactly what I was thinking.
Melissa gives "hilarious Aunt at the family get together" vibes and I love it. She's so funny.
I have a newfound respect for her now. She’s the first guest I’ve seen react as I think I would when eating spicy sauces like that. Always relatable
"Whats so funny about Peace Love and understanding."..Elvis costello and also "Look for the Helpers"..Fred Rogers .Two of my favorite humans
Melissa is a delight! Bridesmaids, the heat, Tammy, spy, and identify thief are genuinely some of my all time favourite movies!
Melissa: OH MY GOD OH MY GOD literally fighting for her life
Sean: I’m right here with you I’m right here with you just chillin 😂😂😂😂😂
I love his hand motions too 😅
I can't stress how great of an interviewer he is!! The way he mirrors his guests to help make them feel more at ease in the suffering is amazing
she's right. Comedy is sooo important. It connects everybody and allows us to reflect on the absurdities of life
Melissa did a great job. I thought she was gonna quit by the 3rd or 4th but she pushed on thru 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Take that DJ Khaled
Thats exactly what I was thinking , DJ was a lil wimp !
I love that Hot Ones fans will never let the DJ Khaled one die 😆
@@brigutierrez5249 as we should! He’s such a punk!😂
Taraji p henson bailed as well
@@carolperry7695There are many who bailed but his was bailing after 5 wings in Season 1, rest did it after reaching The Bomb wing which is 8th or 9th sauce depending upon the season.
GOAT guest.. I laughed the whole time. She looks like she'd be a blast to hang out with in general. Mad respect.
She’s so sweet, I love how she reflects on all the funny, beautiful stories she’s been a part of throughout her career
Happy Birthday to the funniest amazing actress Melissa McCarthy 🌟🏆🎉
This is the best episode out of all them! She showed the tolerance and reaction, then still used her comedic self and pushed through it!! She is the best ever!!
Absolutely! Watched it the second I saw it was Melissa. And came to the comments to say the exact same thing.
I love her.
Also, "What's your legal situation?" 🤣
I never thought I could love this woman more than I already did! I loved what she said at the end about sharing the experience of a film and all it's emotions with an entire room of people.... just an amazing woman!
I love mid question sean laughs and then it pans to Melissa eating a whole loaf of bread... she is a lovely hilarious human being
I think this might be my favorite moment in the season. Melissa magically appearing a loaf of bread and sheepishly explaining "Somebody said it helped, I don't know..." I died.
He almost never breaks, she's done it
Melissa McCarthy, thanks for that Farley story. Yeah, I remember thinking when watching you do that sketch, she is jumping into some big shoes while surrounded by absolute legends. And she absolutely killed it!
I have absolutely adored Melissa since she played Sookie on gilmore girls and since then she has NEVER let me down. Every role, every interview, my love just grows! She's so positively and hilariously unique in everything she does
i love the way sean does interviews. he clearly does his research on the guest, and he doesnt ask the same old generic questions every other interviewer does. he goes above and beyond and i couldnt picture hot ones with any other host
I have never heard the staff laugh so much. Absolute Gem of a Person.
