This is one of the most impressive garden railroads that I've seen. I love how the location makes it look real. Thank you for showing some cool modeling ideas as well!
you are a very lucky person... to live where you do... to be able to enjoy our hobby like you do... just turned 65 and have never been able to live where I had the room to build a layout.... ( have a few G-scale trains and rolling stock... just sitting boxes) Very happy for you please keep putting up videos.... they are a joy to watch!
Very neat railroad seen I really like how they have the two women out on the back of the train so cool from the looks of it they are very beautiful young women yes indeed it is so very true people for real people for real okay thanks Charles Williams ⚡🎄😎❤️💙👁️🐿️👣💱👣💱🐇🐰🐕🐸🌎🌍🌈⚡.
Amazing camera work, especially on those forced perspective shots. I thought you were doing some sneaky cropping on that first drone shot before I realized it was actually G scale. Keep it up man this looks so good
such a fantastic layout..must have taken years to build and get it all so perfect gratz. Do you build everything from scratch like the houses and slit wood etc etc that bark on that huge redwood looks so real its unbelievable. Your painting and airbrushing skills must be top notch. I should not be Jealous but I am...haha man thats so awesome you are a very talented man 😊
Amazing layout in a spectacular landscape, and your camera work blends both to create an immersive experience for the viewer. Thanks for creating and sharing this wonder video.
What a beautiful creation. Reminds me of my childhood Disney storybook, "Donald's Toy Train." It's why I'm an F Scalier too... that and the 1/24 scale collection of the V&T engines at the Carson City. I love these large, heavily detailed models.
This G scale railroad is amazing. The scenery, the locomotives, the buildings, just everything. Great job, these are very satisfying to sit back and watch!
Is this in Ridgeway Colorado? Way up a dirt road lots of twists and turns? Guy sells G Scale trains? I think I have been to this layout, it is incredible.
Bob, I live in the foothills west of Denver. The backdrop is all real in my back yard. Also I recognize your name from years ago when you also built Hartford coaches. The passenger train (6 cars) in video are all Hartford passenger/combine kits. Bob Hartford sold me some blank sides and I kit bashed the RPO, Baggage and parlor car. Also do you have any info on the brass lights you made for your Hartford coaches? I remember your article. Any dimensions or how you built the lights. Or did you build some to sell? Any photos of the brass lamps?
Absolutely astounding had me fooled at the start if I may Sir one comment the bottom of the building need to be part of the ground and not just sit on it.
An excellent video, with a beautiful layout, overlooking a very beautiful landscape. Great the passenger train and the freight train, each with a fantastic steam locomotive, and the galloping goose #7. Thanks for showing and greetings from Germany
It is 45mm "G gauge" track, with 1/20.3 scale rolling stock. (At 1/20.3 scale, the track gauge equates to 3' - accurate for many Colorado narrow gauge railroads.)
All the structures are not ready for rain. They come in at night. Also all track bridges and trestles are taken apart and brought inside for the winter. Many elk pass thru the area.
Awesome. Hello from the Tracy Mountain Railway in Colorado. 💙 T.E.N.
It's not every day you can make the real world into your layout's background
I love your talking Locomotive, at slow speeds it say "Who's on second, Who's on second." Thank you for the video.
That looks amazing Bob!!! Love all
the detailed replicas from western Colorado!
Really impressive work!
Indescribably BEAUTIFUL!!!
Thank you for video. Your railroad is wonderful.
Wonderful everything. Thanks for posting.
So cool love the layout.
The opening and closing shots are just perfect. What a great layout for this location.

I'm in model railroad heaven, right now.😊
This is really cool but the locomotive not doing 4 chuffs per wheel revolution bothers me 😂

All the mines, coal tipple aerial tram and sand structure are scratch built. The Ophir station is Banta kit built
Thank You for taking the time to reply...CHEERS@@bobdunlap8365
When saw the thumbnail I thought, gee this vid is worth a look just to see how they nailed the backdrop and lighting.
It all became apparent LOL,
Amazing layout in a spectacular landscape, and your camera work blends both to create an immersive experience for the viewer. Thanks for creating and sharing this wonder video.
THX! I used a Sony PXW-X70, DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone, and a DJI Osmo Pocket 2 on the camera car - all with 4K resolution!
Wow! That's one of the most realistic layouts I've ever seen!

Majestic and serene footage along with the magnificent layout you have constructed. Thank you from an old HO enthusiast.

Wow talk about realism, can’t get any better than this layout. This is a saver!
It's crazy how realistic this is!
That is so cool! I rode on that railroad back in the early 2000s. Thought it was the real one for a minute!
Me 2
This G scale railroad is amazing. The scenery, the locomotives, the buildings, just everything. Great job, these are very satisfying to sit back and watch!
Wow! I like the "galloping goose" there used to be one running here between Sooke and Victoria. It had a odd sound big slow gas engine.
Wonderful!
Felicidades excelente video, muy original.

Genesee Colorado - near Denver.
Bob, absolutely beautiful F scale models, but where did you find the artist who did that fantastic backdrop.

All of the buildings are taken off the layout at the end of the day.

Thanks - I included metric equivalents in the description for the elevations in the titles for international viewers! ;-)
Beautiful 👍
Cool !
Unsure if maybe we saw this on the layout tour during the garden railroad convention in ‘22?
Yes, we are in the Denver Garden Railway Society.
@@JamesMackayColorado your railroad is very impressive. The 1:1 scale scenery is spectacular.
Exquisite layout and attention to detail!

Nice video work, James.
It's beautiful.
But how do people protect these outdoor layouts from wind/rain?
All the structures are not ready for rain. They come in at night. Also all track bridges and trestles are taken apart and brought inside for the winter. Many elk pass thru the area.
