      I’m sorry, would you like a refund on the data you wasted? Maybe you could make an insurance claim, they will get your time wasted back and then some. But be careful, it’s not the 80’s anymore. Data bases are linked and they are always watching. 👀

    Do you recommend cutting all the areas alongside the driveway/concrete, flowerbeds, etc... And then start creating your straight lines?

    • @TheSouthernReelMower
      @TheSouthernReelMower  5 років тому +1

      I always cut around the perimeter 2 times first. That gives me room to do the turn around on each straight pass.

      @@TheSouthernReelMower thanks! I have a pie shaped lawn that is narrower upfront and widens towards the back of the property. Since my lot isn't squared it's hard to determine how to cut it with even lines.

    Question: Do you use a tackifier on the mulch to keep it from blowing away. It looked like it was a blanket when you were blowing the clippings off the driveway.

    • @TheSouthernReelMower
      @TheSouthernReelMower  5 років тому +3

      Yeah my toro was down due to a broken belt, and I was waiting on parts and about 5 days went by. I finally got the John Deere out because I didn’t want the lawn to get any taller. I went ahead and cut it back down to a little less than .5” this video was also filmed a couple of weeks ago, so the Bermuda wasn’t fully greened up yet. Look at my newest video to see the lawn now

    Nice work and very interesting. I know this is the proper way to cut Bermuda but in my area most company’s just cut it with standers/ZTR at 2.5-3.5”
    I would like to get into the reel mowing market and try it out. During the fast growing season (May-September) how often do you cut with a reel mower? And I’m sure customers pay a premium over using a regular mower?

    • @TheSouthernReelMower
      @TheSouthernReelMower  5 років тому

      I think it would be very hard to market this to customers. I did have some wealthy customers that would pay for it a while ago, but don’t have any customers currently. It’s just a lot of work and would cost so much. Even with growth regulators, you would still have to mow twice a week to maintain the height of cut.
