Shout out to both of you amazing UA-cam creators! Ray Mack is one of THE BEST in the business and it seems I may have found another in her. So awesome to see the love and support from both of you👍🙂
Church's chicken was good but I remember another chain in South Carolina called "Famous Recipe" and it was a Sunday afternoon "after church" kind of meal. We would grab a bucket on the way home from church and my grandmother would make bisquits and throw together a few side dishes to go along with it to feed the crowd that was my extended family. Aunts, uncles, cousins, and even a few neighbors. Good times long gone. Thanks for bringing back the memories of Church's because when we didn't want to drive across town for Famous Recipe we would stop by Church's and grab a box. Good stuff!
OMG, I live in Memphis TN, and I love Church's Chicken, I am absolutely addicted to it, I used to eat it at least 3 to 4 times a week, I'm definitely making this. You have made me very happy 😊❤
I'm in Dallas and it's funny because people have so many different chicken places to choose from and a lot of them turn their nose up at churchs, but it's my favorite.
I miss their chicken, biscuits, and their crinkle cut fries they use to have at Church's. I don't understand why they were removed from the NYC area over 20 years ago now. Yours homemade must be even better.🤩😮💨
Thanks for the video. Your biscuits looked good. I learned on UA-cam to put the butter in the freezer for an hour to stiffen it up. Then I grate it into the flour with a course grater. It really helps to create a layered and flaky biscuit. I've never tried shortening.
My mom made rolls/biscuits similar to yours. That brought back memories. But I remember she added a little orange juice and zest to the butter and honey. It was so good. Gona made them for sure.
Thanks so much for sharing these recipes. They look amazing and I Love fried chicken and gravy with honey butter. Have a good evening and Happy New Year to you all !
We have a Church’s chicken literally down the street from us. And I love their chicken! It was my very first job when I was 16! I worked there for one summer. Learned a lot from preparing the chicken myself too, and your method is so on point! I’m definitely going to make it. Thank you for your recipe and how you thoroughly explained everything so well. Your voice is so soothing, and so understandable. Can’t wait to try it! Those pickled jalapeños are A Must too! ♥️😋🙌
Here in southern AZ, we use to have a Grandy's. They had the best fried chicken, fried okra, and biscuits. Been gone for 20 yrs😢 hope this recipe comes close🤞
I just started using instant mashed potatoes, we bought some for hurricane-food and had them when our power was out. I'd never had them, always made them from scratch. Now we have it on our weekly grocery list! They're delicious, and SO easy. Game changer for real for busy weeknights
Thank you for this step by step delicious easy to make meal !! i love that you included the steps and recipe for the whole meal ! Thank you so much , i shared this video to all my family and friends , i know they will love it , just like i did !! A very well made instructional video , that you made easy to follow !! ❤️🙏🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈
I’m a native Texan and fried okra always on the menu when my Nanny fried chicken and home made biscuits and and mashed potatoes! Your chicken looks delicious my gosh! Don’t forget the house wine of the south, a large glass of sweet tea! 😃❤️ Thank you for sharing! 😃
I miss real Church's Chicken. Well, truth be told. I miss a lot about Texas. God Bless Texas. Really happy to see a no egg dredge. Being allergic to egg is a real challenge sometimes. Oh those biscuits!
Oh yes ty so much always wanted to know how to make churches chicken !!! Now I have a request I have seen soooo many KFC original recipe and none look right maybe sometime you can make KFC thanks !!! 🙏🏼
I'm a sucker for fried chicken. I think the buttermilk brine is essential. One tip for those making this, I preheat the oven to about 250 - 300° - start with the biggest pieces, when they are done place on a sheet pan rack in the oven while you start the next batch. All the chicken is crispy and hot.
Can you help me with duping the Church’s spicy sprinkle. I’ve been a vegetarian for over two decades and I still miss that stuff so much! I can dupe the chicken but never found all the spicy notes from the sprinkle packets. I know it has salt and Cayenne pepper but I’m kinda at a loss after that. 😊
I tried Church’s chicken for the first time a couple weeks ago. I thought it was very good. Not quite as good as Jollibee mind you but good none the less.
Im wondering that would the chicken adds the MSG or chicken powder? Some people said, they would add baking soda too? But to be honest, i don't want my fried chicken contained too much chemicals.
*disclaimer* Why rinse the chicken in water and vinegar? I've never heard of this. I have never made package potatoes, but I have to admit that yours look delicious!
I honestly don’t understand why anyone would want Church’s chicken. I live a 2 minute walk from a Church’s and haven’t eaten there in many, many years.

Recently, Church's Texas Chicken has rebranded or reworked their chicken recipe, and it tastes great. I grew up with Church's Chicken, and then I stopped liking it until last year. It tastes just like I remember as a kid.
"Just argue amongst yourselves." Girl my attitude all 2025!!!
My goodness...I love Church's Chicken, but I know your recipe will taste better.
Thank you! 😃🙌🏼🙏🏼

Nothing wrong with instant mashed potatoes! I will use them myself from time to time. Your chicken looks amazing.

Lee's Famous Recipe has THE best chicken and gizzard ever. 😋
Lee’s Famous Recipe was superior to all the current chains. I was sad to see it go.

Amazing!!! I am salivating!!!😮
Those Idahoan brand potatoes are great. I might not use them for a special or company for dinner type meal, but for a homestyle meal they are great.
I love them as well. Always in my pantry, along with Mexicali Rose dehydrated refried beans.
Great for camping as well.
I’m Definitely Making Churches At Home Dinner Came Out Looking Super Delish
Here in southern AZ, we use to have a Grandy's. They had the best fried chicken, fried okra, and biscuits. Been gone for 20 yrs😢 hope this recipe comes close🤞
That's very nice of you making fried chicken, honey butter biscuits, mashed potatoes and gravy at home way better than Church's Texas Chicken.
Churchs chicken is the only fried chicken I eat here in CA !! Your recipes look amazing for these !!!
I absolutely loved this recipe! Thanks so much for sharing.😊❤

I love that you wash the chicken, I always think chicken is dirty. That looked so good. ❤❤❤❤❤

I have made your honey butter biscuits many times from your older videos. It’s so good!
How do you reuse/ recycle all those oil
Thank you 😊 😊
So what are your main suggestions on what to have in your fridge and pantry? Like the necessities

Well done
Thanks 😊
We used to get Church's a long time ago until Bojangles came along and then Popeye's 😆
Can you do tenders like this?
This looks great. I haven't seen a Church's since the 90s.
Those biscuits! 😛
Also quick question to anyone isn’t accent = MSG just want to ensure I find it at store
Im wondering that would the chicken adds the MSG or chicken powder? Some people said, they would add baking soda too? But to be honest, i don't want my fried chicken contained too much chemicals.
Yum😊
could you show us how to fry okra please? tks
*disclaimer* Why rinse the chicken in water and vinegar? I've never heard of this.
I have never made package potatoes, but I have to admit that yours look delicious!
I grew up in south Texas Church’s chicken is the best chicken. I now live in North Florida the v church’s is an hour away 😢
Yumm!!
What makes it "Church's"?
I think the texture and taste of the crust with msg, the honey butter biscuits, and pickled jalapeños are signature Church's Chicken.
You eat it on Sunday. 😂
I love the instant mash potatoes
I love a good 2 pcs, pepper and brown gravy for dipping from Churchs 😂
A need!!! I’m in DFW and there’s no Church’s around me 🥲
There's one on Seminary and another one on Lancaster...I'm still searching for some other ones 😂
Can you make it with boneless chicken. Thank in advance.
Wow
I feel my heart stopping
I'm okay with instant mashed potatoes.
SHES GOT A GOOD RECIPE. I WORKED FOR CHURCHES CHICKEN IN HOUSTON OF THIS IS NOT THERE RECIPE, IN FACT ITS DIFFICULT TO COOK LIKE CHURCHES.
I can not eat church's because whatever oil they use gives me gastrointestinal issues. I have no problem with Popeyes. I love fried chicken.
Try cutting your chicken breast in half for faster frying. That's what Church's does to give more pieces.
There is MSG in the chicken bullion powder.
😋👍👍👍
❤❤😊
😊
Could u make Popeyes chicken
❤
Why use water over eggs?
MSG should be used more often
Add a little less water plus a tablespoon or so of cream cheese to those instant mashed potatoes. It fools them every time 😂
Wow, all that food on the plate would be around $35 at a fast food chain store.
I soak my chicken the same way. Then I remove all the slim and fat.😂❤
Way use self raising flour ❤
I honestly don’t understand why anyone would want Church’s chicken. I live a 2 minute walk from a Church’s and haven’t eaten there in many, many years.
