Jese is it 12 months since you were fixing the beet harvester time is flying… We were at the pumpkin great job kids loved it thanks a million👍
Oh the joy of pulling into a field with a barn dry machine compared to an outdoor good luck with the pulling
When I was a kid, I remember helping my dad take the wheels off a tractor, and then that was mounted to a sugar beet. You have to donate a tractor, but then it became a self-propelled beet harvester.
Doesn’t time fly first video I saw of your farm was cutting sugar beet by hand last year
Love the mole grips on the 3075 back window gas strut 👍😂
Top class Phil what a cool man never gets excited Stewart family are one hell of a family to work
Looking forward to the video of the machinery moving into the new yard, should be very satisfying to see the decluttering
Great video Phil
Phil we used to throw a 5gallon drum of water over the blets before starting them dry. Stop them from twisting.
i would be inclined to stay going while the weather is good ........ground was just starting to dry out here today when we got 8 mm in 10 minutes ......focked it all back up again ........ have some beet here and am anxious to be at it ......its mighty stuff to keep cattle happy in the shed
The best of a window stay
Well
when you saw the harvester pulled out of the hedge you would never believe to see it work as well. Well done on the persistence.
Not a bad size load. Looking good phil.
Great job Phil. It must be Uncle Ians year anniversary soon. I lost a member of my own farming family recently and its such a hard time and a big big miss
Great video. Good that all your hard work and dedication in the cold, damp and darkness last year getting the harvester working is paying off… you put some effort into resurrecting that machine. Keep up the good work.
Only seems like last week you put the harvester away... Jaysus.. doing a nice clean job tho in fairness
Good to see your carrying your tool kit on the back window ram beet looks good 😂
We had identical Beet Harvester went well for a few years,we ended up connecting the hopper tip direct onto the tractor spools,it meant you could slow the oil flow to harvester hydraulics so it takes out the snatching of the drawbar and the disc on the front and also leaves you a spare leaver on the control box in case a cable breaks.Nice to have your own harvester we are now relying on a contractor.Good luck with your harvesting, great channel.
Evening, no beating around with you this year😂😂
Phillip, all your hard work from last year on that harvester paying of now. I never comment on your video's but that was serious effort and you deserve alot of credit rerfurbing that yoke. I too have looked forward to this beet video! All the best from county Down!
Hi Phil 😂yer screens are always dirty 😂👍👍
It's hard to beet that Good to see things running well for you
Enjoyed the beet pulling
Looks like a nice crop of beet and the machine is working well.
Best of luck with all the work ahead on the farm & fair play to ye all for the videos 👍👍👍
Great to see the harvester out!
Enjoyed that Phil
Pretty good considering the amount of weeds around the beet.
Great video Phil. Enjoyed watching 👍🏼
Great job Phil
Thought lee didn’t want to be on camera seems to be used of it need him more in the videos and is lee a qualified mechanic cause it seems that he knows his stuff
Great content
Good stuff
Evening Phil
waited a year for this video, great video Phil, cant wait for next video of beet pulling
We'll beet on 👌 you done a good job on the harvester last time out. Looking forward to the next instalment 👍
Great job lad keep her at it, ground in nice condition. Hope mine as nice next week 🙏
Great work farmer Phil keep it up
Nice one Phil ground not too bad it's very wet here in the south west
Another very interesting video Thank you
Love the back window lock. That thrid service dose work with a push
Good video as always, In Tuam there was a beet factory and when i was a kid i remember the no 1 machine in our area at this time of year was the Beet harvester so it nice to see one working again, well done
Never seen a machine like that before amazing engineering.
Just beet it!
What’s the best thing that can happen to a field of beets?
Another great video as usual 🤙🏻
Nice agrotron in your pfp lad
Nice one Phil
You need to be on the lookout for a good second hand four row self propelled harvester if your going contracting
Hey Phil. We always took the belt off after the season and sprayed the harvester with wd40
Good to see things running well for you. The hyd return fitting looks a bit restrictive, could cause the heating problem.👍
we used to fit the return on a 3/4" hose and use the larger 3/4" spool connections back in the 80's when we harvested carrots. kept the oil cooler. Do the same thing with the hedge cutter nowadays.
Would you ever try saving some seeds from the beet? Could be an interesting experiment. Might not be open pollinated seed though? And could be issues with patented seed. But might be something for next year to buy open pollinated seed and grow even a small 50m2 section that could be your seed source for 2025.
Beet is nice and clean
Don’t bother fixing the cable for tipping the hopper. Just pipe the hydraulic cylinders on the hopper direct to the spool valve on the tractor
Hi Phil. Good too see you're getting the beet out stay safe and God bless you and your family from across the pond in Great Britain
What were you saying about the frost on the beet being needed for something?
Good stuff Phil. Glad the work that went into the beet harvester last year is paying off with just a squirt of grease this time around.
Ground conditions look super at time of video.
I’ve 100 acres of grass silage still to get somehow. Piss wet through in Cheshire
Oh wow that’s a lot to try and get for this time of the year
@@FARMERPHIL3690 yeah, nightmare of an autumn weather wise and my contractor playing catch up constantly. We’ll get it ……. Sometime 🤞
❤
Pick up the speed a wee bit
Why do u think u need frost b4
U pull ? Always thought its fine to
Pull but u can't feed it for a week
Or so after u pull !
👌
Are the head’s not good for the cattle
👍
Could you catch the tops, I’ve heard of people silaging them long ago.
We could but we’ve no desire to
Top glass video wonderful food for the cows 🐄.We think you’re wonderful farmers the best in the world 🌍.So so good luck thank you for sharing. 🐄🐄🐷🐷🐷🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
Where's the hat and dreadlocks
Amish Style 🤣 😂
carnt the tops be used for feed ?
yep
How muck hour charg
Bet your glad the harvester wasn't chucked into a Wilson skip a few years ago......
First
Great machine for 50 years old approx.....It was a sin for the EU to end the beet in Ireland.. hundreds of trucks bringing thousands of tons of sugar imported into Ireland every year Patrick 135..8111 in Meath
It's very patchy looking and a lot of weeds in it
All messing aside. If this comment gets more than a 100 likes I’ll get Father Phils name tattooed on my arse. This is not a skit
🇮🇪🇮🇪👍🙏🙏👍👍
What’s with the fluff your growing on yr face 😂😂😂

Whats with the full stops lad?
Don’t bother fixing the cable for tipping the hopper. Just pipe the hydraulic cylinders on the hopper direct to the spool valve on the tractor
