This is an update after I received and installed a 3-D printed adapter for the Shoei Neotec 2 so I could use a PACKTALK EDGE unit.

OMG, thanks, this is gold. I thought the same when I saw the back of the original one... WTF just a sticker? from an official adaptor I expected what you found on the custom made, so thanks again.

I am more than happy that You like it. Initialy I created it for my own use and just shared the file. Hopefully some day cardo with shoei will create some unit that fits same way as SRL. BTW I have almost 20kkm with it, no issues with falling off or something

Thanks for making those videos and pursuing this topic. I’ve had a Shoei Neotec II with the integrated Sena SRL system for the past 5 years. Love the comfort, fit and features of the helmet, but NOT the comms system. I’m due for a new lid, but find it unfortunate that all the integrated systems are Sena. I believe Cardo to be a superior system and will be going with Cardo moving forward.
My question is, did the 3D adapter plate come as an actual piece or just a printable file?

I really like Cardo as well. My first Sena was terrible and the one for this one I didn't like. So I may end up making a video about how I ordered the 3D thing but in the link I provided you download the files needed to print the 3D part. It's the largest of the files on that site. It's a free download. You take that file to your 3D printer of choice and ask them to make it. I found a site that gave an immediate quote when uploading that 3D file. Then, they print it and ship the part for you. That was it. My first time having some 3D printed. That part of my install has worked fine and was easy. It was harder for me to get everything with my Movo wired and taped in the way I want. Ha!
@@RamblinManMoto Ok, I think I understand. Basically pay for the download and then coordinate with a 3D printer. I’m with you when it comes to adhesives. Thanks so much for the quick reply.
@@00cpo70 You do not need to pay for the download. On that site, the download is free for the STL file. You then coordinate with a 3D printer and pay them. I believe I put the one I used in the description (or a comment) with a link.
Good evening! Thank you so much for the video. Was just curious what you chose on the 3d print side on the makexyz page? There are so many options. Really like how yours came out. Just wanted to get your opinion on that. Thank you.
I keep intending to make a video on this but haven't just yet. Looking at my receipt, I chose Process: SLS. Material: Nylon-PA2200. I believe the only color is black. My grand total was $29.90. The receipt doesn't show any other options selected. Hopefully this info helps.
Oh that’s perfect! Thank you so much. I have a Pactalk Bold and found the printed file for that for the Neotec 2. So much nicer to look at the way you did it rather than the Cardo so far back. Thxs again! Great video!!
@@CF15500 Sorry the video wasn't better. Doing it one handed on the iPhone for this quick video. As I mentioned quickly, I think I could have installed mine using just the clip that came with the Cardo over that black plastic piece that's part of the Shoei helmet, but for the cheap price of this 3D solution I really like how it came out and not having to worry about it. Ha--true. I should have done an update on this. They refunded me the full price of the purchase plus the shipping I paid to get it from them to me. I paid for the shipping to get it back to them. At least they did that.

The file with the largest file size. You then upload that to your printer of choice.

Thanks for pursuing this. There are multiple print files for this piece on the Printables website…which one to download?
This was my first time getting anything 3D-Printed. I learned that the larger Model STL file is the one the 3D printer needs. You download that file and then upload it to the 3D printer. I received an immediate quote on the site I used when I uploaded that file.
I ordered 4 of these to share with friends who have the Neotec 2 with the Cardo Edge unit. My own Neotec 2 arrives within the next week.
@@roncoleman8351 Cool. I was a little confused about which options to order on the actual part but I'm very pleased with how it turned out. I just tweaked my microphone for voice (not Cardo) and I'll post a video about that.

We've been discussing this in the comments over the past two days. One person said the maker may have popped up on Etsy. I no longer have the file and I have not been able to find them. The maker of the file responded to one of these videos before it was taken down. We're hoping he will respond again with an update.
