+shana meyerson Yeah thanks, recently I figured that the 'Handstand-Journey' is kinda more complex meaning that it doesn' t only come down to practice one thing over and over again but to different handstand-exercises that should be mastered or rather practiced to a certain level. All of this contributes to all handstand moves following since each exercise improves hand balancing and body awareness more and more, thanks for those drills, I'll check them out : D

Hi Shana, it's brad, your fan from Manila. This video and specialty the "handstand pike" video are awesome. My challenge is that my hamstrings are so tight, my legs are too folded that it gets in the way of everything! I know it's vague by describing it but my question is, have any tips on doing this (and the pike) even with tight hamstrings? -brad
+Brad Feliciano thanks for writing! is there a way for you to shoot a quick video so i can see what is happening? on this video, is it even hard if you start on a block? so your legs are already bent before lifting off? maybe even two blocks? on the handstand pike, focus on squeezing your legs together, embedding the femurs into the hip joints, and engagin both your hamstrings and quadriceps simultaneously. even better...stretch. those. hamstrings!!! :D
Shana, after 2 months, I now have a short video shot just last night to show you where I'm at with my hamstrings and my tuck handstand. How do I send you the link? Just here?
hi brandie, when you are stuck on anything, practice is always key. and patience. and...if something is not working, you need to try it a different way. i suggest videotaping yourself doing the hop and then comparing where your shoulders and hips are in space compared to mine. that is the easiest way to nail down where things aren't working. it may be core. it may be your overall approach and body positioning. it could be arms or hips or shoulders...or just about anything in between... if you want to post a video, i would be happy to look at it and give you pointers. :) shana

overall, learning to just find a good, solid and consistent handstand balance will always be the #1 key.
i have these two videos to help with that...once you are 100% comfortable in handstand, all the other handstand stuff starts to come...with patience and practice.
to handstand consistently in the middle of the room: ua-cam.com/video/LPEuNlDQ2eM/v-deo.html
to build core strength specifically to master handstands: ua-cam.com/video/k7J7UbEBvXw/v-deo.html
hope that helps!
+shana meyerson Yeah thanks, recently I figured that the 'Handstand-Journey' is kinda more complex meaning that it doesn' t only come down to practice one thing over and over again but to different handstand-exercises that should be mastered or rather practiced to a certain level. All of this contributes to all handstand moves following since each exercise improves hand balancing and body awareness more and more, thanks for those drills, I'll check them out : D
yes! there are so many different ways to skin a handstand--er, a cat.
terrific that you are trying so many different things...
i have a whole "handstand mania" playlist to play with...hope it all helps! :)
Just here?
you can post here and i'm happy to look at it! :)
Hi Shana! I'm stuck at the hop part. Is it that I need to work on core strength or do I need to keep practicing? I don't feel like I'm progressing.
hi brandie,
when you are stuck on anything, practice is always key. and patience.
and...if something is not working, you need to try it a different way.
i suggest videotaping yourself doing the hop and then comparing where your shoulders and hips are in space compared to mine. that is the easiest way to nail down where things aren't working.
it may be core. it may be your overall approach and body positioning. it could be arms or hips or shoulders...or just about anything in between...
if you want to post a video, i would be happy to look at it and give you pointers.
:) shana
these vids are steps that may take a few minutes or they may take days, weeks, months or years. take your own time and see what evolves. :)
Thank you for the tips and taking to time to respond :-) I will keep practicing and record myself!
i'll look out for it. :)
pueden ha ser uno en españon estan buenos los videos
siento que no he sido capaz de traducir los videos. :/
How far are your hands on the floor, shoulder width ?
good question! yes, shoulder's width or a bit wider. :)
wooowww, i never get to do the crow well, because i have a bit problem with my low-back, i have scoliosis, and i´d like get the crow and the cobra. How i can do it?
+Arwen Elph (Arwen27) i have videos on both, that hopefully will help.
crow is at ua-cam.com/video/ByiCmOLjtC8/v-deo.html
and cobra is at ua-cam.com/video/AIOhZsdULNQ/v-deo.html
also, depending on the severity of your scoliosis, twists and backbends are terrific for strengthening, opening, and helping to better align the spine. :)
i liked your video cn give me tips to handstand
thank you...so glad you enjoyed it, +suraj paul .
i have a whole playlist of handstand videos and tips at ua-cam.com/play/PLEk7dn2pk4QWlT2x6f6Sxejxc3boJnrvg.html
there are videos for walking and kicking up the wall, balancing in the middle of the room, building strength and fundamentals, and also presses and jumps.
depending where you are in the practice, you can find the best videos for your level.
if you're not sure, let me know what you are struggling with and i can recommend the best videos. :)
so welcome, +jen martin! :)
Nice body
+SWEETZ PRODUCTIONS thank you!!!
carolinafan2016 thank you so much!
carolinafan2016 aw, thanks!
This makes me wish I had payed more attention in physics class 🤣 lots of counterbalance here. But this is a great tool to learn especially to master handstand transitions into arm balances.
Physics! ☺️ thanks for this awesome comment! 💗
I watched her videos for 10 years should I donate😅
I always deeply welcome any support! 🙏 thank you for being a loyal follower! ❤️
I m trying from 2 weeks but cant... i can do headstand... i can do even forearm stand but handstand... really hard
Sukh Khaira handstand is much more challenging than both headstand or forearm stand. Have you tried my easier handstand videos? This one is only “easy” for those who already have a strong handstand and arm balance practice.
Check out my “handstand mania” playlist for some easier videos to help handstand. I would start with the kick up to the wall video. Let me know if that one helps for now. :)
I love the kicking of the blocks! 😜😂👊🏻
