The cannon is actually awesome when you go through late-game missions, bcz ziplines need both ends to be in the network. If you wanna carry some bulky/heavy/fragile cargo toward a new area over the most extreme terrains, it would be a good method. Once you finish the game, however, zipline is definitely superior in every single way than this...
i find it funny that the first two videos that i found of the cargo catapult are one that claims that it is useful and even says so on the title, and this one that claims that it is totally useless for its intended purpose. I'm more inclined to agree with the former, though
Not really. If you go through extremely rough terrain where you will find the Floating Carrier unreliable, such as steep climbs and drops, you can use this cannon to shoot all the cargo and gear you can't carry all the way to the top/bottom and quickly recover it once you traversed the area.
Nah the only use I ever found for it was when you need to climb up or down super steep mountains. Throw your shit up/down the mountain and go up, so that you don't break all your shit if you fall

Still I use Catapults, cause not only it sends Cargo past annoying Terrain, it sends Mules past tense.

vog emitting decoy cargo might be really useful as non lethal because it doesn't kill the MULEs, the VOG just make them go sleepy
