The best thing about Ghost is how it's so offensive and off-putting on the surface, but is just an honest to god good time while giving love to old/campy horror and throwing shade at metal bands only touching on Satan for aesthetic purpose only. The band embodies "at least commit to it"
I can't remember if Ritual was the second one of theirs I heard or the first, but that was the one that hooked me, I was immediately down for whatever else they might have in their catalog after that one.
Saw these guys live and during the second chorus he actually reached out to this girl in the front row and sang the chorus while holding her hand and looking into her eyes just like in this video, it was probably one of the fucking coolest things I've ever seen at a live show.
that’s called being ciriced they used to do it every show during that song but that was when they performed in smaller venues now they’re getting arena big so papa can only like reach out to someone but he can’t touch them anymore which is sad but nice at the same time because that means they’re getting more recognition as they should
yeah that is literally my life's goal to be ciriced by papa. i know they play larger venues now but that won't stop me. it's going to happen. then my life will be complete haha.
Tobias Forge does the guitars, bass, writes everything, singing, he's just about the entire project on the album work. Ironically, he originally just wanted to be the lead guitarist, but when making Ghost a thing, at the start he ended up having to take over the vocals.
To answer your question, yeah, "Cirice" means "Church" in an old dialect of English :) Initially I actually thought it was supposed to be the name of the girl tbh
Yes, and as I've heard it is supposed to be pronounced with a "hard" C, like a K, and a silent E - so that would be "Kirik". But I'm not 100% sure on that. Makes sense, since the swedish word for church is Kyrka wich look kind of similar even though it is pronounced differently.
Ghost is just pure artistic melody, they are like Deftones, so unique and majestic at the same time and apparently the 2 people clapping at the end were supposed to be his parents, which is amazing.
They've been one of my favorite bands for a long time the singer Tobias Forge is a genius he not only created the band he writes all the lyrics and created the guitar bass and drum parts for their debut album hes got a great voice and incredible stage presence
Tobias writes the lyrics and all the music, and he's plays all the instruments on the recordings. He's super talented. So many metal elitists hate ghost, their loss! You guys have to go to a ghost show, called a ritual. It's quite the experience. Definitely react to squarehammer next, it's their encore for live shows.
Those metal elitists are ignorant knobs then, as even most of their probable idols likely rock out to Ghost and are fans. James Hetfield is a huge fan and can be seen both headbanging at a show as well as playing riffs in rehearsals with Metallica. I'd wager those same elitists also don't get Ghost and it's all flying over their head. Taking them way too seriously and wanting them a certain way. It's too big brain for some. Satire is a dying art. So is good rock music. Both together? Ghost pretty much fly the flag. It's just a bit of fun. Sexy, satanic, stylish, bloody, metal fun! \m/
He doesn't play drums on recordings. He only did drums for the very first demo of Opus Eponymous but on the recording and every record since it's Ludvig Kennberg. And there are some songs that are co-written.
My intro to Ghost was "Monstrance Clock" and it remains one of my favorites. Also recommend "From The Pinnacle To The Pit" and (if you're feeling ballsy) "Year Zero."
I'd like to thank you guys for your videos. I have a debilitating disease, your reactions get me through tough times. Thanks again from Detroit Rock City
My ex and I were THERE for the shooting of the music video! They did a call-out to fans asking to send in a picture of you along with some other info and they picked us! Got to hear the song (brand new at the time) like 1000 times that day haha.
The eye-locked chorus is what sticks with me the most from the music video. Every time the chorus comes around now, I imagine the kid Papa staring out like that lol
Nice to see the love of Ghost spreading, now that you've seen some of the more recent ghostly tunes, I recommend you to take gander on their Eponymous debut album. it is a pure tribute for old school occult rock and Mercyful Fate, so much catchyness and earworms. Because they've made such catchy stuff they've been called as the Abba of metal. All this stuff is 100% radiofriendly, if you tune out from the lyrics, and its super funny, songs: The Ritual Stand by Him Satan Prayer Death Knell
Man, you want some Ghost groove, check out "Pinnacle to the Pit." Such a groovy banger. You should also check out their acoustic videos, especially the acoustic version of "Guleh (Zombie Queen)" ... So good! They are also one of the best live acts out there. Saw them a few years ago - it was nice and long, and amazing!
Here’s one video from each of the seven bands that I’d most highly recommend: *Blood Ceremony* (flute-tinged witch rock): ua-cam.com/video/nRJwTS_2M5M/v-deo.html *The Bridge City Sinners* (punk folk): ua-cam.com/video/WZbR3xVeA3w/v-deo.html *Jess and the Ancient Ones* (psychedelic rock): ua-cam.com/video/5hgWxb1bXkE/v-deo.html *Lucifer* (doom rock): ua-cam.com/video/SwAF-9m12Ms/v-deo.html *The Oath* (classic metal): ua-cam.com/video/woHnD39jU4c/v-deo.html *Thundermother* (classic hard rock): ua-cam.com/video/ZoLmch76c9k/v-deo.html *Twin Temple* (doo-wop): ua-cam.com/video/mIH7mDcoJjI/v-deo.html

The girl in the video reminds me of American McGee's Alice, which is kinda cool. Also, if you're interested in more heavy atmospheric tunes like this, I'd suggest 'Nocturna' by Moonspell.
What's going on Rappers React? I'mmm BACK with another Voivod suggestion called "NothingFace". Since almost a year, I pressed the thumbsup button on 99% of your videos, I did suscribe to the channel, I left tons of suggestions in the comment section... Like I wrote before, almost every artist you reacted to are huge Voivod fans and it's about time you open their "book" ;) To make a quick story, the band "Rush" started in the early 70's, "Voivod" started in the early 80's and "Tool" started in the early 90's ;) They are all connected...
I believe this song won a Grammy award for Best Metal Performance. As for songs to check out next, here's a couple of criminally under-appreciated tracks: Absolution, Ghuleh (Zombie Queen), and Mummy Dust.
The Colbert Show performance of this song on Halloween is a lot of fun as well. It's a shortened version, but definitely worth seeing. The audience interaction is really something. ua-cam.com/video/vTXW-tO-fOs/v-deo.html

If you guys love ghost , you'll definitely love The 69Eyes . They're a Gothic Vampire band from Finland. The song Lost Boys was one of their biggest hits
"Faith," "See the Light," or "Witch Image" those are my Ghost suggestion. The three you've already watched are 3 of my favorites, so if you liked those then you'll love these.

LTG Live The Gimmick!
This is the best description of Ghost I’ve ever read. Well put.
He writes and plays EVERYTHING in the studio, and hires musicians to play concerts. Thats why they are called the nameless gouls.
You guys gotta do “Ritual” and “Year Zero” - you’ll love them both!
Yes, please do these!!!!!!! Don't do Rats...................
Ritual!!!!
Ritual is awesome
your. Rats,ritual,year zero,square hammer

I saw them in NOLA and they passed a baby up to stage during that part lol.
Square hammer is a good choice for next Ghost song.
+1 to that
DEFINITELY!!!
such a great song
FUCK yes:!
Yeah a must

i can´t wait for Rappers React To Ghost "Rats"!!!
Stick around and stay tunes
@@Hollywood6IX rats predicted the coronavirus
Square Hammer, Rats, Elizabeth, From the Pinnacle to the Pit, Ritual, Year Zero, Ghuleh/Zombie Queen. Too many to list. Take your pick.
Yeah! “Elizabeth” and “From the Pinnacle to the Pit” are my favorites.
Now you are ready for " Year Zero " 😈🤘
I've been waiting a hot minute for this one. Can't wait for you to do "Rats" next
I am a simple mans. I see a Ghost reaction and a like is slapped on it
This was their Grammy award winning song. This whole album Meliora is great. You should do “Pinnacle to the Pit” or “Square Hammer”.
You need to see Ghost live! Tobias' talks in between song are hilarious. Definitely one of kind band.
I love how much you both love Ghost! 😈😈😈
