Ameca! Ameca! Ameca! We have heard the name #ameca so many times, but do you know how this latest creation from Engineered Arts came into being? #engineeredart has cracked the code of human-like motion, bridging the gap between machines and human interaction. With Ameca, they have successfully overcome the valley effect that often hinders our acceptance of robotic companions. In a recent interview with Wired, Will Jackson, the CEO of Engineered Arts, shared their approach to designing robots that not only look like humans but also move like them. So, let’s deep dive into how #humanoidrobot Ameca is who she is…
    The Importance of Dynamic Movement
Have you ever come across a robot that just didn't feel quite right? Maybe it looked realistic, but its movements were stiff and robotic, leaving you with an uneasy feeling. Well, Engineered Arts has made it their mission to crack the code of human-like motion in robots, and it's a game-changer. You see, it's not just about appearances when it comes to creating believable robots. Engineered Arts understands that dynamic movement is the secret sauce that brings these machines to life. They've studied how people behave and meticulously designed their robots to mimic those behaviors, making them more relatable and engaging.
Think about it this way… communication is a powerful tool, right? When a robot behaves in ways that we expect and makes expressions that we understand, it opens up a whole new level of interaction. Just like when you're immersed in a movie and become part of the story, Engineered Arts wants to bring that same suspension of disbelief to the physical world. The team at Engineered Arts knows that capturing the essence of being human goes beyond mere visuals. It's about capturing the dynamic data, the movement that makes us uniquely alive. From changes in expression to the focus of the eyes, every detail matters. They've gone through countless iterations to perfect even the smallest nuances, like getting the perfect smile or the creases in the brow.

      Exactly. Same here.
I like Ameca. I wish I could have a companion Ameca.
I like to learn, and having her would be an endless availability to learn, then learn some more.

Robots ideally should not walk but fky and float. Be strong but light. Be as non human as possible that we humans can see the difference ...

If I bought an Ameca I'd want the boob option and the back scratcher option.
