Love doing colour blocking when making tops and looks really good and different! Colours look great together too and also French Terry a good fabric to work with.
Thanks so much for the inspiration! The top is so cute. I like the curved shape of the tee, too. One question - when cutting the bodice top and center sections to make them straight rather than curved, doesn't it lower the seam of those two pieces to cut straight across from the high center point of the lower bodice, and straight across below the lowest point of the upper bodice? (I hope I'm explaining that clearly.) In my head I'm thinking to cut the top bodice straight across as was done, but then cut the lower bodice straight from the lowest point of curve (at the side seams). I guess I'll have to fit the two pieces together, then draw the horizontal line where the seam is desired. Thanks for the idea!
That is true. I didn't think about that when I was sewing it up but I am thinking the way I did it makes the top a little longer as I am adding more fabric. If you want it to be the same length then yes, I could cut away the lower portion ❤️
I love (love love) your videos and your energy. I am having the hardest time finding the proper fabric for apparel fashion. Most knit at my local store are very thin and hard for this beginner to use. I would like to find t-shirt weight knit, light weight sweat fabric, fabrics appropriate for child's wear and summer dresses and leggings. Where can I find fabric, lower or mid cost, since I am sure to make many errors?
thank you!! I love shopping online for fabrics. Olgascloset.com is one of my favorites! they have great prices and great fabric. I also love raspberrycreek and knitfabrics.com for kids apparel fabric ❤️

You made a very cool version of that jacket! Awesome and very sylish!
Ouch, I seen you pick up the rotary cutter. Love the top.
I could not believe I did that haha thankfully it wasn't too bad of a cut ❤️😂
Love this! Great fabric color choices.
Nice color combination. Love this look.
Glad you like it!
Love it!
Ouch! Always close your blade right after your cut is finished & before you set the rotary cutter down on the table to prevent accidents.😉
