Back again 4 years later. Still a huge pleasure to listen to these 5 guys harmonizing on these tapes. Tino singing For Your Precious Love was especially beautiful today, but everything they do is just perfect and wonderful, which is why I keep coming back to this show.
I’m laughing my a$$ off. You guys are great. I’m 15 again. All I want to hear at my funeral is vintage Doo-Wop and Motown girl groups. Don’t forget the Chiffons with their Doo-Lang Doo-Lang. Don’t worry, I’ll be there. Wouldn’t miss it for the world.
This is by far the best talented group I've seen on this program. I just wish there was a band behind them and an audience giving them a rousing standing ovation.
Fantastic....just like listening to the radio in the 1950's. As a guy that did a little singing with the band back in the 60's, I guess what amazes me most is how well their voices have held up into their later years. I was never a smoker or drinker but my voice will no longer support most of the material I performed back in the day. Please don't let this music die!
I know just what you mean. My singing voice is nothing like it was when I was young. Just can't hit the high notes any more, but I can still sing along in the mid-range up to second tenor. The ravages of time and maybe partying just a little too much. :)
Now this is doo wop. Unbelievable talent. I can literally listen to this music all day. Actually I do. Brooklyn new York. Flatbush Avenue. I'm listening to this music for about 52 years. Until the day I leave this earth!!!!!!!!!!
Doowop won't disappear until our baby-boom generation disappears, which might be only another five or ten years or so. What a pure shame that will be, so make sure to really enjoy these excellent doowop harmonies until that sad day finally comes along. We were just the luckiest of kids to be born into the two decades following the end of WWII even if some of us didn't fully realize it back then.
Since finding Ed Salek's Island Hop two weeks ago, I'm hooked on it. This group The Brooklyn Connection are SUPER...You guys are amazing...Love listening. Tom Catucci
good lord this is beyond fantastic! whispering bells is a tough song to sing & frankly the del vikings couldn't be topped - until now. your bass singer is outstanding. wish we had doo wop groups like this here in scottsdale, az.
Great perception Arizona doowopper. I replaced Clarence Quick (original Del-Viking's bass) and sang with the Del-Vikings for over 20 years.Thank you & Keep listening !Les Levine
I am from park slope Brooklyn…..even my grand children love listening to grandma’s music….❤ my daughter talks about it, someone asked where she got this music…she said that is all my mom played….m son just turned 50 yrs old….how the heck I happen….must be old….3 of my grandchildren are adults…I am only 20 yrs old ….in my mind

just great- what part of brooklyn are they from ?
Anyone know who originally sang What Did I Do? 19:33
Don't know, but the song seems reminiscent of Johnny Maestro. They do a very good version of Stormy Weather.
Little Anthony & The Imperials.
