Great video! Two things to add: 1. The con you mentioned with regards to the lower speeds is actually common with most (if not all) range extenders, not just this one, because of the way range extenders work (basically receiving and retransmitting the packets). Which also explains why you get a higher speed when using it as an Access Point (AP) instead. I for one I'm glad they actually let us use both modes. 2. The 300mps is the max transfer rate and is dependent on the source connection. So if your source isn't giving you that speed, you definitely shouldn't expect to see that through your extender. It can't give what it doesn't have. To illustrate the second point, assuming you use the device in Extender mode (which are known to give you at max 50% of your source's speeds), if your source is at 500Mbps, the best (could be lower) you should expect is 250Mbps. However if your source is 800Mbps, ideally you should expect 400Mbps, however, the highest you would actually get is 300Mbps because that's the max transfer rate I hope this helps someone struggling with the 300Mbps constraint. Also I didn't know if someone had already addressed this in the comment, I didn't go that far down. So if they have, sorry for restating it.
if u have 50mbps and use tplink 300mbps then it will not increase ur speed to 300mbps. tplink 300mbps is just a data transfer speed. if u share file from one pc to another pc then the data can be transfered upto 300mbps speed..
Im trying to connect from ethernet port on my modem, to this device. But when I do my whole internet crashes. Nothing can connect to wifi. When i plug out the cable the internet works again. So confused

does it actually extend your range? before extender range 20 meters, at 20meter "hardly connect", at 25 meter "cant see it at all" with extender range 30 meter, at 28 meter "slow but with still can watch youtube in 480p smoothly" It would be nice if you could answer this in the video
Is there a difference between wa850re(eu) and wa850re(us)? Because my device is wa850re(eu) and I downloaded on it the latest version of the firmware (us) Did I download a wrong firmware
Yo buddy excellent review, so do you any idea which extender would give me full or at least 50% of internet speed? I am facing the same issue as you are i have a 300mbps connection but with this I hardly get 20 mpbs & have you tried to update the firmware version of it?

Well well, I’m not 100% sure since the companies are never clear on product details hahah, but in which country are you in? So that I can search based on available products within your market.
