Technique looks good to me, lots of power from the trunk and legs. Personally I prefer a low powered greenland paddle, but that's the joy of kayaking so many options and choices. I use a garmin watch to monitor my speed on the water. Provided conditions are the same (tide/current/wind) it's a good measure of how effectively I'm paddling.

Hey David, thank you very much.
Oh I love my Greenland paddle as well. Once sprint technique is trained well enough, I'm getting down to that one. 🙃
I'm now trying to get telemetry data from a GoPro onto the screen so some future tests might include a speedometer. 😉
BTW, I sent you a PM on facebook. 😉

There is alot of power still unlocked 😁 Footwork is not yet connected with the rest of the technique. Power phase is a really short part of the technique, make sure you have your footwork locked with that. Right now it seems you are using your feet while paddle is not fully submerged. If you do it correctly in a wide boat like this, your body rotates a little less and shoulders work also less.. More energy to you! :D Keep it up!

      Hello.
Thank you. Now I see it, definitely leg drive is happening too early. For some reason, the little bit I have included in the practical part in my overview of this kayak looks much better than this entire technique video.
I don't have this kayak anymore and I'm adjusting to an even wider one (Gumotex Rush). I keep practicing, I want to be doing it right. 😅

Looks good. I’m improving but I need to concentrate.

Same as me. I started this season hard with a Greenland paddle and its canted blade technique. As a result, my sprint technique worsened. I need to retrain.

First of all compliments for your videos, I liked them. I like record videos about my activities and I would ask you how you fix your cameras on x500 (I generally use a Gopro). Thank you

      Hi Roberto,
Thanks very much. This is pretty much what this channel is about - apart from gear overviews it's sort of a diary about my progress in learning how to paddle. 😉
I currently use 2x GoPro 9. I have a forehead strap for those 1st person views, I also use an alligator/crocodile clip that I can attach pretty much anywhere but mostly it goes onto the grab handles on the bow or stern (or both at the same time in case of this video). I also have a tripod that I use with other kayaks in various angle combinations. Sky is the limit pretty much. 😉

@@LetsGoPaddling For now I'm using an entry-level kayak (Intex Explorer pro) and I'm learning to row (I come from other sports such as mountaineering, cycling, ski mountaineering and it's not easy to start, but I like it). The useful thing about the Explore is that it has a convenient bar for supporting the cams and, wanting to soon switch to an x500, I was wondering how to fix it.
Is it safe and stable with a belt system?
Could the handle wobble a lot or am I wrong?
Do you use any buoyancy aids in case it falls into the water?
      P.s.
I usually also use a Gopro Max 360 with a stick (Insta360) extendable to 3m. I assure you that you make spectacular shots. Hello and thanks for your reply 😉💪

It's always been stable enough for me on these grab handles. I have some footage where I was running through motorboat wake with the camera installed at the bow but I've never used it anywhere.
Handles seem to be a bit wobbly but they've never disappointed.
I don't use any camera floats, hoping it won't go swimming.
I'm not entirely convinced by the 360 cams, especially that effect where it zooms out to some sort of fisheye view - I don't like this effect. I'd rather get a small drone next season. 😉

Looks good but you aren’t getting enough rotation and your paddle as it exists needs to be around ear height while your other arm is straight ready to go into the water. But since you are using inflatables that does limit performance so there is not much you can do until you get a hardshell.

you have to look in front not in the kayak
