A few comments: 1. Luke at LOF is an excellent choice - his products and customer focus are the dog’s bollocks. 2. VGS - again, great product and looks like you’ve done a solid installation. 3. You might try the Gwynn Lewis’s OME damper set up on a 110, whereby you use the same (slightly softer) front damper on the rear, with his adaptors which are excellent. Also, try his trick of using plastic heat shield over the dampers to protect them from stone chips - works really well. You’re doing some great work, so be proud of yourselves!
We've been using Luke and VGS for years, and have always been very happy with quality. Good to hear others agree :)
Productive episode! Shame not to clean/protect the chassis under the suspension components before you put them back on.
We do brush and paint the coil spring mounts including upper chassis spring mount
Wow!!!! Juice, that glass knocked the Defender into a whole different class!! That is impressive!!!!❤❤❤
the ending with the glass was really cool, I didn’t expect it!
Wheels that need to knead mud!
Well done guys!
Another great episode Sam, its not a nut and bolt resto, but a great improvement, and a safe defender that will last another few years before a chassis or bulkhead is needed.
The design and your attention to detail almost defy belief! BUT I agree with other comments that a build of this quality should mean all components are rubbed down rust protected and painted before the new suspension components were installed, and I do realise that most owners will never see the underside, that last percentage point would mean you standing head and shoulders above everyone else. Thanks for sharing your work it’s interesting and truly unique 👍🏻🏴
Looking forward to the next video!! Always great to see what's happening at Juice!
Love watching the videos keep them coming.
Grate work, love the builds you’ve done,if I didn’t live so far away my defender would be going in to you for all sorts of goodies to be done !
Ok hear me out 😂. Is there any possibility of doing a stock defender restoration series?
A very nice looking Landy. Love want you do with all your land roves. Keep up the good work.
13.12....lovin the irish dancing guys 😂😂
Looking spot on this one
great job, who doesn't lower the lift to fit wheels???? Sam showing his muscles.
Hi, Great job, impressive attention to detail. Is the design of this build according to a customer’s specifications, or is it for sale once completed? I notice, on your website, a Series 3 made to look like a 2a; is there a video of that build? Thanks, Bill.
Hi Bill, the customer said he wanted an elegant modern styled build - I then designed the car and made suggestions 👍🏻 I did shoot the series 3 to series 2 front end conversion but never released the video!
Interested to see the custom ski rack on the 110 Sam!
Soon!
Should have put the white letters out on the tires!! Would have popped even more!!!!
Looking great, but good luck with the crank thrust bearing.
Watch the video - all done 👍🏻🤩
Clean that brush, beat the devil out of it. 😂
hello I'm intrested in the wheels and tyres was wondering where I can purchase them from? thanks
What tool did you use to remove the ball joints please?
Sam and Jools Holland ? Anyone see / hear it? Channels a bonzer though lads. Thank you so much 👍
Hi Sam and team Juice. Any reason why you choose a different manufacturer for the steering dampener and not use a Fox steering dampener? Love the build and more importantly I love the video and explanations. Thank you 😊
OME steering dampers are more consistently available from our suppliers, which makes it logistically smoother to keep in stock for our clients, with equally good performance and quality 💛
Contemplating upping my wheel size to 18’ from the standard 16’… what tyre size did you go with??
Great work from obviously experienced LR techs... however, you reinstalled a completely flthy transmission covered in dirt and oil, even inside the bell housing, after fitting all those new clutch parts... and you had clear access to all the rusty stuff underneath, but chose just to reinstall new parts next to/on top of it. That lack of attention to detail would concern me when choosing where to have my work done. It's not like this is a customer's car, and they chose not to pay for the extra work... I would get that. Even if this was the case, I would at least jet wash that transmission ffs.
The sound isn’t quite right on this videos lads
Love.love.love it😊❤👍👍👍
What's the big yellow OME diagonal bar for at the front?
It’s the steering damper 👍🏻
Any reason you went for the OME steering damper over the Fox version (cost/availability?). I am thinking of fitting the Fox steering damper when I overhaul my steering set up 🤔
OME is consistently available from our suppliers and equal in quality. If a client insisted on FOX, we'd happily supply and fit, but may take longer to get in
NEVER use a loft product i had a clutch for 1 YEAR only! get a ClutchFix one so much better quality
Does the solid flywheel not cause more vibration.. heard it’s bad for the crankshaft
I’ve been fitting them for years - not a single warranty claim, only positive results
Oofkin -eck thars commin 2 gethere just lovelee
24:06 I'm gonna assume those new black wheel nuts aren't the bl**dy awful cap type that swell over time and then need a 27.5mm socket to get them off. They really were (and still are!!!) a proper crap idea!! 🤦🤦
I put black lug nuts on my LS powered 90. Got them from Rovers North. They’re solid.
Thought the bearing/bushes were made out of bronze not brass
Had in my mind that pilot bearings were Sintered Bronze which you soaked in oil before fitting?
Привіт з України! Дякуємо за вашу працю! Героям Слава!

Hi,I watched your Rebuilding an old Defender video. We produce digital instrument cluster.
Do you want to use a digital instrument cluster for your defender project?
If you are interested, write to us, we can provide a digital indicator cluster for your project as a sponsor.
You guys are a bad influence i've only gone and bought a 200 Tdi project to do myself!
Curious as to why people are not using Koni raid 90s for shock absorbers.? Having had many on different vehicle including king off road racing shocks. For the application Koni raid 90s in my opinion are far superior, more durable, better ride, better over all control.
Why not clean, sandblast, and paint the underside and inside the engine bay? More time and cost but after making so much effort a little more would make this job almost perfect..
Could you describe how to do the wheel alignment you jus done by any chance or do a video
No idea you are at ide hill. I used to work at a house there for a few years!
Love your guys work (and have lost count how many times I've watched your vids now...)! I'm in the states with a 1987 90 in Alpine White. I've got a lot of things I'm planning to get it dialed in myself (along with a local mechanic friend) but curious do you guys offer any "remote consulting" for some questions we have? More than willing to pay obviously.
Also just out of curiosity have you guys ever worked with Fellten or Electric Classic Cars?
That green is beautiful
Thank you, we think so too!
I saw either 90 or 110 and the customer had had a clutch booster fitted to it, wow made the whole driving experience (even though it was round the block for it's MOT brake de accelerometer tests). Never seen another one using that set-up.
I just did the same LOF kit to my TD5 this weekend. I was very nervous watching if I did it right 😊
What's that green module that you bolted onto the side of the clutch assembly? Looks like a wedge design of some sort, to prevent something spinning.
It locks the flywheel so we can tighten the bolts 😇
Haha, I thought it was Juice Motors's new "Delboy and Rodney clutch conversion kit".@@juicemotors
It would be great to see the Woodlands build. Thanks for your reply. Bill.
Why are the white graphics on the tyres, on the inside? Are they "reversible"?
They’re not directional tyres, so you can have the white outside or inside
Funny, coz I was trying to find the black and the white versions on their website, but couldn't. I like the Coopers. They look meaty.@@juicemotors
Have you sold it yet
Awesome content as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
Our pleasure!
What happened to the old team of guys from your previous You tubes
They moved on with life
Love the panoramic glass. Unfortunately, in my opinion it looks terrible with the sliding windows.
Anyway, what's the final plan for this? Have you considered raffling it?
I have a different opinion 😎 customer has already collected this build 👍🏻
@juicemotors it's a good thing we are all different, which is why no two defenders are the same!
My preference is simply not to interrupt the smooth look of panoramic glass.
I still think you should build one to raffle off though!
Forrest Gump and Friar Tuck called and are really upset you guys stole their haircuts! Also, thanks for going white letters in on your tires.
That glass package totally transforms a defender! 🫶🏼
