Hey Guys. We have done 20 all-inclusive trips to Mexico. What you experienced at Cancun airport can be normal, on a bad day. When they say arrive for an international flight three hours early, in Cancun, you really need that. We have had times when we have waited a long time, and others when we have breezed right through. We are from Canada, so we have always been waiting on Canadian based airlines. Those line ups for Spirit were insane. Out of all of the resorts we have been to, if I could recommend one, for comfort, service and food it would be Royal Hideaway Playacar. Its a very quiet adults only resort, but only a five minute cab ride from all the action in Playa del carmen. Stay safe, from Heather, JP and Sadie!
Wow! You guys are AI experts! So crazy that the airport is always chaos like that. We've always heard that Canadian airlines are notorious for not being on time. I wonder why that is? Thanks for the tip on where to stay next time. Have you guys heard of the Excellence brand? That name keeps popping up, as well.
Pssh, I hope watching this video made you appreciate sitting up front even more rewarding. We didnt have nice things to say while watching your video, lol.
They are putting you in those seats so you have the whole row to yourself. The middle seat is not reserved for a person. I’ve found that it’s pretty standard practice throughout the pandemic (if they can).
Spirit was one of the first airlines to not block the middle seats. We actually picked the seats in an empty row. The airline just decided to put someone there that did pick out their seat. :)
@@ChubbyAndAway ahh ok, that’s frustrating then. I just saw quite a few empty seats in the middle and assumed they had been reserving them where possible for Covid reasons ❤️
I’ve taken spirit to Vegas several times. It’s always been nonstop flights and I always bought the big comfy seats. It’s not the best but I know that I’m paying more for bigger seats I don’t mind. I would not want to fly them out of the country.
Damn guys, sorry for the horrible experience coming back. The mass of people waiting in line...I cannot imagine. You made it home safe thank goodness. I haven't heard much about Spirit, other than being one of those other low cost carriers. Anyway thanks SO MUCH for taking us along on your awesome trip. Enjoyed every moment! Your dinners @15:20 looked delicious. I love salmon and chicken parm with pasta. I cannot do tequila in my coffee however LOL Yay for the negative covid tests :)
Our departure tax is included in our airfare. We leave next week and we have the attestation forms printed already for when we come back. Hopefully everything goes smooth.
Thats great! I dont know why some airlines include it, and some dont. I do know it is a new thing that Quintana Roo just started doing. Have a great time!!
Love you blogs, will be visiting Grand Fiesta really soon. What's the process like when arriving into the Cancun airport? Any info or suggestions you can provide? Will be flying back to the US via Volaris praying it's nothing like Spirit.
Awesome! The process is pretty easy. Immigration doesnt seem to hassle you, which is always good. I would try and get transportation arranged before you arrive. The arrivals area in CUN can be chaos. I havent heard much about Volaris, but they are making a bigger presence in the USA. Gotta be better than Spirit, lol.
the luggage fee calculation is based on fuel/weight calculations. they need to turn a profit. the reason their flights are dirt cheap is because of this sort of thing.
Thanks! Honestly, Id bring them unless you can find decent prices going into the city. The grocery store across the street has legit Cubans, but they seemed rather expensive. The resort doesnt sell cigars. They vendors in the market sell fake Cubans, which I actually think are not that bad, but they keep trying to sell you them at real Cohiba prices. Hope this helps!
Spirit soooooo bad. You guys coped well with that. At least you have happy Cancun memories❤️

How much do you recommend for a tip?
Loving this series! Just wishing we had watched it before our own trip
Would it be too much rubbing in if we reminded you how we got first class coming home? 😐

We just departed Cancun staying at coral beach as well. We flew American and I think the Spirit line was longer today. I felt so badly those people!

The seats up front are a game changer. I do think that if we ever fly them again, the big seats would be the only way.
@@ChubbyAndAway also nonstop flights. I don’t think I would trust Spirit with lay over.or a international flight.
😍❤️love your vid❤️😍

We don't fly them anymore if we can avoid it!
Love the series! Would you recommend bringing cigars to the resort or buying them when you get there?

Yeah, after watching your ordeal, this looks like "Never fly Spirit."
Never say Never 😃
Yes! We said that last time we flew Spirit, haha.
Ultra low cost airline, ultra low quality service ya'll
Back and I’m first again
Heyyy Tim! Hope you are doing well!
My question: Is it also "Never fly Spirit?"
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Rules to live by. Really, it should be the 11th Commandment.
Never, ever fly Spirit. We say that, but we said that the last time we flew Spirit.
long day in the pool but only a few sec video shirtless, so sad
