Rob, another great video👍 My days afield are behind me now so I appreciate you taking me along on your hunt. Great shooting extremely difficult to get a triple. Nice dog work some great points and retrieves👍It’s fun watching Dizzy figuring it out and getting better and better with each hunt.
Dizzy is amazing because you take her hunting in these situations. Cautious, tracking, holding, and fetching. Those little things will fall into place like not bring the bird to hand. On a grand scale, she's better than the average birddog, a gifted Sunburst Brittany. Cooper is always the pro!
I brought some home from Montana and my wife, and I prepared them in a piccata. We used the Hank Shaw piccata recipe. They would be great with almost any Asian recipe too.
Very nice work by the pups and great shooting! Two triples!! Never had one on upland birds. Did on decoyed ducks. I'm pretty sure I've been in that area trying to find rock chucks a few years back. Very rugged country! Almost got my 4 wd pickup stuck there. That would have been a very expensive towing charge!!😳
Awesome vid, that 3 piece was impressive, those birds really teased you at the end after you had your initial flush and those other few came out so close to you after already shooting all 3 shots off!! I think I'm going to try and get out this week and shoot somethin with one of my shotguns finally! This cold rainy weather here in WA has been real sucky, I guess I need to make my way over there, weather looks great!
Great video! Loving the new shotgun! Not sure of the game laws in Idaho, but in most states if you aren't hunting migratory birds, you are not limited to 3 rounds in your gun.
Yes in Idaho you aren’t limited to three on upland birds. This gun doesn’t have a plug. Just a small tube because it is the featherweight version. I’m debating putting the regular tube on it.
I know you are circumspect about revealing your hunting locations however your viewers deserve at least for you to tell what state you’re in. And you could throw us a bone now and then and tell us what county you’re in
Nah man, he’s doing it right. He also said Idaho in first minute. It’s very easy to find many of his spots if you just know that info, he shouldn’t give more…
I usually do say the state, but I guess I forgot to mention this time. Just assume I’m in Idaho unless I say otherwise. It really shouldn’t matter where I am though. I’m not trying to show people where to hunt. I’m simply sharing my experience and if that isn’t enough for folks, they’ll move along. I think the vast majority appreciate it for what it is. There’s no need to know what county I’m in because there are birds literally everywhere. Look at the terrain and how we work it and apply what you learn if you will, that’s the best I can do.
Thanks for the video. I often get tied up thinking the dog work all has to be perfect but it doesn’t and isn’t always! Your videos show that well. Thanks again and if you ever get to Washington let me know and we can chase some chukar. Scott Valley

I’m glad you’re able to enjoy them. That right there is why I publish them. 😊
That was a great day! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Looks like Snake area. Gorgeous country
Definitely. This hunt was late enough in the season that the snakes were largely underground.
Beauty Triple Man!!

So good to see Dizzy getting things sorted! Thanks for another awesome video!
Thanks for watching!
Great job Coop, Dizzy and Rob! Lots of good eating! Huns are a favorite of mine for the plate, like a quail on roids😂
What is your favorite way to prepare them?
I brought some home from Montana and my wife, and I prepared them in a piccata. We used the Hank Shaw piccata recipe. They would be great with almost any Asian recipe too.
I make Piccata a lot. Never thought to try it with Huns. My favorite way to eat them is Hungarian Paprikash.
@@NorthwestWingshooters That sounds great. I'll try that with quail this winter.
That covey though...🎉

Yes you have to be careful out there and respect the weather forecast. You can get in a lot of trouble quickly.
Nice triple man!

Throw yourself a bone and do the legwork, e scouting, traveling, and money spending to find your own areas my guy.

Thanks Scott! Yeah obviously we try to get the best “dog work” but also try to keep it real.
