Yours are the best upland videos out there. Production is top-notch for self-filmed hunts, you focus on the dog work (both before and after the shot!) and you talk to your dogs like I talk to mine. Keep it up!
This is the most well articulated and diagnostic upland bird hunting I have ever seen. I also am a Nevada Native, and I have been hunting chukar for 29 years here. Your video is 100 percent the genuine article.
The landscape is absolutely gorgeous! And the drive and motivation of your dogs is amazing! It´s great that you try to tell them that they have to fetch until they are directly in front of you. Also with the 7th bird! Keep it up
Nice work and video. I did notice you walking on without picking up empty hulls. It happens but you have a lot of follows so showing them that you don't leave litter on the mountain in the form of spent shells would be a good thing. Your dogs are great, keep up the good work!
Thanks. I have videos about trip planning, gear, truck camping, training and more on my Patreon page if you are interested. www.patreon.com/ericforrester
Eric, welcome to Nevada man. Your Videos are top Notch. Have employed some of your techniques on point approach to covey. Keep up the great work. Happy hunting to you sir. Cheers
Thanks for sharing. Love your videos and look forward to this time of year when you start cranking them out. You even inspired our group to head to Idaho last year to chase chukar! Great memories, and cannot wait to get back out there.
Gorgeous Video everytime! Good job Eric!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻… those first 3 birds you got and the beautiful dog work are the highlight! Can’t wait for the next one. Thanks for sharing!
Wow so beautiful landscape with great numbers of birds Riggs & tubbs at their best ❤ I really love watching riggs when he throws birds in your lap I always have to fight with my bullet when getting the birds 😢
It is interesting how different chukar are from place to place. Having lived in Utah, hunted Nevada, and now living in Idaho no two places are alike. Seems like the GSPs and GWPs were made to hunt chukar.
As always a pleasure to watch, Riggs is coming along nicely, absolutely love it, we are still chasing birds here in Montana. Currently trying to find some Franklin grouse and then doing more sharp tail next week.
Great triple! Its just like ruffies here in WA. I used to follow instructions of looking for younger fir/ aspen trees. But have easily found out these birds act completely different from their east coast and even mid state cousins. Good hunting!
Another great video. I’m from Northern Nevada and hunt over Wirehairs too. Cascade dogs but had a deposit in on a Bone Point pup last year but they had some issues so am waiting to see what happens this year. I sure like your dogs!
Awesome video! So jealous! I had one of your videos pop up on my feed two weeks ago and I've watched almost every single video now! Love watching your dogs work. My lab isn't like that but I mean he's a lab not a wire hair lol
cotdamit... I need to know what your packing and shell selection. Love the crop check, them red legged devils like cheat grass as far ad I know. Vid editing is as good as Eric et al huntin in the field. Doesn't get any better wherever Eric goes. More content and less sleep sir. Best to you yours this holiday season. Bravo. oh yeah, when in a desert...water and cover. Onwerdz!
Great video.....Brings back good memories from 20 years ago!...lol I need to get up to speed on your tracking tools for your pointers! May I ask what system your using?...Back when we hunted chukars I only had collars with a simple handheld control for tone and stimulation....that system your using is SLICK!!.........Good shooting as well!
What part of Nevada are you hunting?! If you ever try in the Winnemucca area, you should have dinner at least once at the Martin Hotel. Lots of good chukar hunting in the area! Also, The Griddle is an excellent place for breakfast!
Since I am a few days late, I am not commenting on the beautiful scenery this time, or the great dog work, or the good shooting, nor will I mention the good editing. I don't what else to talk about so just keep them coming! I want to compare notes on a potential NV spot I have identified some day.
I appreciate the video on a new landscape/state. Chukar in Nevada on my bucket list. Are you heading to Arizona next for quail hunting with Spencer? Riggs definitely coming into his own, thats always fun to watch. looking foward to future videos.
He deserves a tremendous amount of respect for the quality of hunts he puts together and the ability to deliver content on this subject. Now for his shooting. It is not a double unless the 2nd bird is shot before the first bird that has been shot hits the ground. It is not a triple unless the third bird is shot before both the first and second bird that has been shot has hit the ground.
My favorite part of your videos is how much you show love to your dogs. Some people treat hunting dogs like tools, and that always leaves a bad taste in my mouth. To me, they're companions first and foremost.
My man awesome video great job with the young dog he is amazing as all of your dogs That triple put a smile in my face too Do you shoot a modified choke ?
@EricForrester -- found your channel a year or so ago -- best upland channel(well really upland hunting videos) Period! Watched a lot of others over the years and most aren't that well done. Bravo sir! ** What time of year were you in Nevada? I'd like to travel more out of my state to hunt upland birds -- Nevada Chukar terrain looks like I can handle it --- ha --- When you were in Idaho -- this flatlander Kansan -- HECK NO -- I'm not part mountain goat....ha. ** I'll credit your videos with having a bit of motivation to travel so far -- made it to ND and SD end of Oct with my brother -- we need to learn the area better but were able to see some huns, sharpies and got some pheasants -- was a great trip!
I have lots of gear, truck, travel videos on Patreon www.patreon.com/ericforrester They are for a power station that runs my fridge, fans, chargers, etc.
I just found your channel and have watched several videos now. I really enjoy them. I hunt Bobwhite quail in South Texas. I’m curious, what gauge shotgun do you shoot? Do you shoot the same gauge for all your upland hunting?
That's chukar hunting energy sucker. I'm not sure about the red seeds, but probably cheet grass. We found a lot of sunflower in chukar crops in lower hells this year.
Dog work, camera work.. Great Channel. How many human miles/hours are you putting on each day? Kinda curious to compare to my outings. It's been few and far between where I can get on that many covies.
Hi Eric ! I follow you here on UA-cam and your videos are great! Where was this? I’ve moved to NV recently from FL and this is such a different e environment and I’m taking in any tips I can
Yours are the best upland videos out there. Production is top-notch for self-filmed hunts, you focus on the dog work (both before and after the shot!) and you talk to your dogs like I talk to mine. Keep it up!
Thanks! 👊
I second that! Best bird hunting videos on the internet right now.
This is the most well articulated and diagnostic upland bird hunting I have ever seen. I also am a Nevada Native, and I have been hunting chukar for 29 years here. Your video is 100 percent the genuine article.
Thanks, I appreciate that.
That big smile face after that triple says everything. What an amazing adventure, man! Its a pleasure to see your dogs working! Please, more.
Thank you, more to come! 👍

I definitely don’t get them all but I pick up a lot of hulls. Mine and others too. 👍
Absolutely great working and beautiful dogsà
Wow, great content. Thanks for sharing that with us! 👍🏼
so cool you actually got solid points. after the opener they dont typically stay tight like that.
The green sprouts are cheatgrass. I believe the reddish brown seeds are buckwheat.
Well done! Beautiful scenery and beautiful dogs! From Sophia, N.C.
Love these videos. I work GWP’s in the UK and I can feel your enthusiasm and understanding of each dogs ability. Marvellous 😊
Thank you!
Awesome! Looks like you had an amazing time
Awesome! Riggs Rigglin' down the hill was SAWEET!!! i Love the way he 'Throws' you the birds when he retrieves!🤣
😆 Yeah he started do that in trials and now he’s doing it on wild birds too.
Great work Erick young rigs going to make a great dog nice to see tub’s doing he’s thing thanks for sharing from Ireland 🇮🇪

Yeah this is sick. What a good video, can’t believe how much it looks like parts of BC, just identical. Millions of Chucks here also. Almost too many.
That was awesome!!! Love the videos, but if you got a shot cam that would be real cool to see where you are shooting. Keep it up man
Thank you!
Great video - as always!
I appreciate the video on a new landscape/state. Chukar in Nevada on my bucket list. Are you heading to Arizona next for quail hunting with Spencer? Riggs definitely coming into his own, thats always fun to watch. looking foward to future videos.

Thanks for the wet blanket mr brister wtf eric has the best vids if you dont like em leave him alone
Awesome hunt, Do you ever find arrow heads in your travels? I've found a few while hunting Chukars.
Cool. I haven’t but I’ve never thought to look for them.
Looks like you took advantage of the 5 shell limit in Nevada:)
My favorite part of your videos is how much you show love to your dogs. Some people treat hunting dogs like tools, and that always leaves a bad taste in my mouth. To me, they're companions first and foremost.
Absolutely, thanks!
Awesome as always! Hint: we find chukar at 3800-5k feet, altitude isn’t everything, steep and rocky with good cover is
ive been finding them above 6k ft this year
You should consider coming to Norway and try hunt Capercaillie and black grouse with us! :D
Great stuff. Love your videos.
Thanks!
Nevada is a spectacular place.
My man awesome video great job with the young dog he is amazing as all of your dogs
That triple put a smile in my face too
Do you shoot a modified choke ?
I had IC on this trip.
Good video, thanks.
Nevada terrain looks a little easier than Hells Canyon! As always Eric great dogs great retrieving another great video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! 👊
We’ve got chukar country in Nevada that is equally suited to wear out a pair of boots!
No doubt! 🏔️🤘
Never seen such a real time videos. From Pakistan.
Absolutely beautiful, Love your videos
Thank you!
Awesome videos! Who needs television when there’s content like this! Was wondering what gauge shotgun you are using?
12
Very good hunt, greetings!👋
Thanks!
Fun looking hunt, curious do you retrieve your spent shot shells or leave them?
I always try to pick them up but sometimes I can’t find them. I also pick up any others I find.
Great job on your videos. Do run into many snakes?
Not usually but I don’t go when I expect them to be out.
GREAT VIDEO,
This is the first time I see a rabbit in your videos.

That’s you are getting out. I was in NV in early November. Chukar hunting doesn’t have to be in the steep stuff but often it’s where the best is.
Do you ever do a bag dump…what are the roof solar chargers for?
THANKS
I have lots of gear, truck, travel videos on Patreon www.patreon.com/ericforrester

Great content once again. What shotgun is that brother?
Benelli Ethos
your filming/ editing just keeps getting better, your hunting skills arent so shabby either, great vid! whats next ptarmigin?
Thanks. No plans for ptarmigan at the moment. KS video is next.
I just found your channel and have watched several videos now. I really enjoy them. I hunt Bobwhite quail in South Texas. I’m curious, what gauge shotgun do you shoot? Do you shoot the same gauge for all your upland hunting?
Great stuff as always. What choke and load are you shooting for Chukars?
Are you going to hunt the Hells Canyon area this season and if and when you do, do you hunt both the Idaho and Oregon sides?
Can you mention the hunting unit?
This is my 1st hunt. Im 66 and leaving from Henderson Nv Monday Dec 11
Thanks
Beautiful video as usual. I am one of your followers from Jordan. I want to know the weight of the projectiles and the choke number
Thanks! I was shooting 1.125 oz of 5 shot. Improved cylinder choke.
That's chukar hunting energy sucker. I'm not sure about the red seeds, but probably cheet grass. We found a lot of sunflower in chukar crops in lower hells this year.
Great work…what time of the year did you go? 12 or 20 ga.?
November. 12ga. 👍
Great videos ive enjoyed them for a while now. What watch are you using?

Fantastic dogs ! I sure like the checker meat over the Huns !
Dog work, camera work.. Great Channel. How many human miles/hours are you putting on each day? Kinda curious to compare to my outings. It's been few and far between where I can get on that many covies.
Thanks. Depends on terrain. 6-9 miles maybe.
That ending! 🤣🤣🤣
Nothing like diarrhea on a road trip🤢
@@ericforrester1 I feel for ya my man! Great hunt & video!

Unfortunately, she was killed by coyotes this summer. It was a huge loss. We miss her terribly.

So,where exactly are you in this video? Great dogs!! What size shot do you shoot for these birds?
That looks like it was easier walking than Idaho😁
Yep 👍
can you specify which cartridge you're using?
