After so many years has nobody ever figured out how to replicate the intro? That's gotta be one of the best little intros I've ever heard stacked with effects. Obviously not to be replicated on an acoustic guitar, but have you ever seen a video demonstrating how to do it? I played guitar many years back. I just tinker with digital stuff now tho. I loved the 90s and early 2000s tho. So much creative music back then.
Hello: the intro is done in harmonics, i can play it, but i tend to leave that kind of stuff out bc my channel is for those just learning !! If you would like i will do a video on the intro
@@Toothlessfatguyplaysguitar it's in harmonics, but tons of layered effects, and multiple layerings of pitch shifting to make the effects as well. As low to get the spring sound of the string even. It's like a secret John never wanted to reveal. So after all these years there isn't one single person who's done it. Would be cool to see it, but the best people do is try and mimic a tiny fraction of the harmonics but it's of course just not the same at all lol. Pretty much the main reason not a single video exists of even him playing the intro. Thanks though. Just wondered if you had ever seen like a full replication of it. If you like to take a stab at it that would be cool though, but there's so much going on you'd have to create those styled videos where it's you playing every single note with the replicated effect that's playing on each separate Chanel of layering to really do it justice . Like those videos where it's a ton of squares with whomever is in the video playing each part themselves.
your my new fav guitar guy im a cover artist and John R is one of my better covers thank you ill make so much playing this hopfully ill have a video of me playing it soon again ty im squirrel

Hey bud, Open C tuning then half step down? So you tune the whole guitar to open C? Then all 6 strings get tuned an addition half step down? Correct?
