You’re Being LIED TO About What Marxism Is!

- In our public discourse, the likes of Joe Biden, Bill Gates and Justin Trudeau are routinely labeled “Marxists.” Even though they are all committed capitalists who are perfectly happy to keep the means of production firmly in the hands of the very few at the top.
As economics professor Richard Wolff discusses with Jimmy and Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger, there is a very big difference between Marxism and authoritarianism - in fact, capitalism is much more authoritarian than Marxism.

Just like people confusing Capitalism with what we have now.....Corporatism...
Even chat gpt will tell you we don’t have capitalism.
Corporatism is the logical conclusion of capitalism, when the oligarchs set the rules after buying off government officials. To stop that, you need strict laws to act as barriers, but then the oligarchs would label such barriers against their corporate corruption as "socialism"...
@@gabrielproulx6316 I have yet to see that argument being made by anyone. Lack of laws isn’t necessarily even the problem, but rather enforcement of laws is a significant one. There are 2 reasons these illegal activities prevail. One is lack of education. Who is in charge of education? The government and are they talking about law? No, they’re telling boys they are girls. The other is lack of incentive or protection of incentive. Many law enforcement officers are afraid to do the right thing because their livelihood would be threatened. Marx worldview was class. Stalin knew that humans were social, and he invented national communism. Marx also was slow to figure out machines were part of the production process. The west is finance capitalist, not marxist. Oligarchs pull politician strings.
It's called Socialism in One Country and it was invented by Lenin.
Marx discusses Machines being part of the production process in Capital Volume 1 2 and 3. He was well aware and discusses it extensively. Although I'm unsure what exact timeline you are referring to.

Without a world bank, world reserve currency, UN treaties; oligarchs wouldn't have any strings to pull. The problem is and always will be centralization of power. Marxism decries that the wealthy have "too much" money and power but I have not read any marxist material about DECENTRALIZING power so as to minimize the possibility to abuse power.
Capitalism and Communism are economic, Democracy and Totalitarian are political. Authoritarianism can operate in both economics and politics. And Marx pushed that it would take a Totalitarian government to overthrow Capitalism and it would take a generation (20 years) and which point the society would accept Communism and democratically elect it. The problem is this simply shifts the Authoritarianism from the economics to the politics; and since power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely, that the transition from an Totalitarian government to the initially intended Democratic model never happens. Fascism is not Nationalism, its ultimate goal (as stated by Mussolini) is the Corporatism of government. And the way to quietly bring that about is by Tweedism. Let the fools beLIEve they have democracy so they don't do what history has taught the powerful, revolt. Its why the real powers that be operate like the Wizard of Oz from behind a curtain. Thanks for the breakdown. Its noticeable media, academics, analysts use these words as if they have definitive rules that must be followed. But those in power will bend and break those rules as a matter of strategy. Capitalists can use communist tactics, fascists can use capitalist tactics. The game has changed and requires updated terms.
You can't separate the two... a little more than 100 years ago economics was called political economy. Politics and economics are intertwined .... the two generally shape each other. Today, U.S. politics is entirely shaped by the economic elites and their minions: it is a one way dialogue. Capitalist governments have been amongst the most brutal and authoritarian. Authoritarianism isn't confined to leftism.
Correct. Human beings always want to be the ones in charge. Communism goes authoritarian faster than capitalism because you have to start with a powerful central state right from the beginning, or it doesn't work. Under capitalism, the people have to be tricked into creating the powerful state one generation at a time.

Enjoy the fruits of your labour, put the value you want on it, whether it be by negotiating the value of your work/ labor for a wage, or produce and manufacture, farm or provide a service yourself. This will be exchanged with someone who agrees to the value of your product and exchanges money for your product or service.
Take the corruption out of capitalisim.
Communisim destroys all incentive, and innovation, puts the ambitous, on the same level as the lazy free loader, imagine like this guy says it's a "democracy" the group decides how to distribute the money, do you think you will get an even share for your hard work? Does it inspire you to work harder? Innovate?
Clearly this guy never worked a real day in his life. I've been in four different unions over the years, I've been president of my local on 3 different occasions, and over the years have realised, that organized labour, stiffles business, holds back wages for productive workers, and coddles and protects the laziest, uninterested workers.
There are some good points to it, but over all, whatever benifits come from unionizing, the negatives far out weigh.
Also the dues you pay go to fund a big fat pig of a union that is in bed with the government.
Communisim would be no different.
Anyone like Jimmy who is weary of the government, and speaks out about their corruption, should realize any communist government would be just as corrupt.
The answer is not bigger Gov., It's pearing it down to only what is needed, the letting the people do business with eachother like they have done for 1000s of years.

Bingo
Important point that was not made is that marxism not only just offers more democratic way to do business but explains why capitalistic mode of production is unviable and ultimately leads to regression. You don't have to look far for evidence, they are glaringly all around us nowadays. There is deep logical, philosophical and socioeconomic background to marxism and communism based on dialectic materialism. It's not for the faint of heart scolars, but for those who can handle it, it gives a lot of answers.
Why is the problem that Marxist want to work on is:
how can workers take over the (already existing) means of production,
and never,
how can people get together before being workers to create the means of production? 🤔😳
Spot on - Jimmy when do you form your co-op?
So if anyone can and will use any ideology for their own advantage, what is the point of advocating one over the other? There can never be any completely fair system because nature at its core is unfair! Again my man still will not allow himself to acknowledge the reality of human nature.😮💨
Evil has controlled the world for 1000's of years. The rich became wealthy by stealing from the poor originally and have used this stolen wealth to gain more and more power over the centuries. Evil is far more organized and has a hunger for power. Good people just want to be happy and provide a good life for their families. Capitalism is the best system for evil to thrive as greed and a lack of ethics is rewarded in a huge way.
I would argue that nature at its core is fair, it is what it is. It takes man to mess things up.
