It's no secret that the better contact patch there is between your tyre and the track/road, the faster you're going to be able to accelerate, brake and corner. Camber and tyre pressures are critical pieces of this puzzle, but how do you know you have optimised them to their full potential?
The simple answer is a Tyre Pyrometer. A Tyre Pyrometer enables you to check your tyre temperatures below the surface after the car has come into the pits. Unlike surface temperatures which will stabilise quickly coming off an often warm track to a cold pit lane, the interior of the tyre will hold the temperatures for longer, giving you more accurate data to work with.
You can manually record your temperatures across 3 points of the tyre, inner edge, centre and outer edge, but if you have the budget, there are tools that will do this for you as you work your way around the car quickly. You can then add your pressures to this data, work out what changes you would like to make to the setup of the car, and then compare that future data with what you have on hand to ensure the changes you have made are giving you the right results.

Could have a 2nd person on the crew writing down what the 1st person taking the measurements calls out.
Almost impossible to accidentally delete or have a notebook malfunction as well

This is something I've commented about to some of the "drag' race folks, as there doesn't seem to be any underlying logic to their "burnouts".
Obviously a team member can't take a probe to them, but there are IR scanners and cameras that can 'look' at the tyres and so get a close estimate of the actual tyre tread temperatures.
That way they can check their data to see if longer or shorter one burnouts are required for the track, air and other factors, to get closer to the ideal, and if an aborted test start needs a short spin, or is at a good temperature.
Add a pressure sensor, for the build-up that may also affect the tyre's reaction, and it may be useful data for setting up with less 'guess' work?

Take an audio recording device with you. Verbally record the values at all tires and review later.

If that works for you, that's great! A notebook is nice and simple as well if tools like this are not available.
There are many ways to collect the data really, the hardest part for most is making the time to check it and then adjusting the setup from there - Taz.
