It's important to note that a white coat might mean off-white for some women. On those who cannot wear pure white, a white coat will look harsh and will effectively "enter the room" well before you do! Actually, I once read that everyone can wear off-white, but only half can wear pure white -- even in the summertime.
Anna, I appreciate so much what you do! I spent 14 years in the military, and it really left me fashionly challenged! After wearing a uniform for that long, five days a week, sometimes even seven days a week, that camouflage becomes your skin! It has been so hard for me to transition! I remember having a long single breasted wool coat in charcoal that was almost better than black. It went with everything but looked less severe. As a fair skinned blonde person it was more flattering than black.

If so, do you have some guidelines on how to stay elegant in lounging clothes. Another thing I was wondering, do you allow yourself to be a bit more casual when your alone at home with your partner, or should you always keep up the formalities. @@pt8421 I agree with the previous comment. No need to be fancy everyday with your partner unless that's what you really like. But as stated previously being casual does not mean you should wear outfits that do not fit you (too large, too tight, too long, too short, colors that don't fit you, cheap fabrics etc...). You can find good quality nice comfortable casual pyjamas or indoors outfits. Also you can be elegant by making sure your hair is well cleaned and smell good, your skin well exfoliated and moisturised, your nails are taking care of, you could wear a little bit of perfume even if you don't go out etc... I remember an ex boyfriend that used to compliment me for my smooth skin which was weird too me because I had always exfoliate and moisturised same for my hand cream; he loved the smell. That's those small details that make the difference :-)

Yes it is, at least in the style I want it. I have found a tailor/fashion designer and we create together what I want. The coat will cost me around 700€ (estimated) without counting the cost of fabric but this is something I will keep forever. Since I'm not going to wear it for my everyday life but mostly for night occasions it should last forever. For my job I buy zara coats and it's already too much with all the dust and dirt around me.

I think I'm sold on the red idea. Black is the easiest colour to buy but, I feel like it kills everything. Like I put it on and it's like a candle's just gone out, like it kills the fire. The only time I look good in black, is when it's combined with white. Something about the contrast makes me 'pop'. But black on its own is a terrible colour for me 😔. I'm 6ft1 so red coat might look a little 'shouty' on me, like 185cm of RED*neon sign*. But maybe I should just 'own it', like own it when I wear it. Thanks for the video.

Navy typically always looks nice, especially paired with a nice, crisp white or blue, tailored shirt. It’s a timeless, classy look, and can be dressed up with a great boot, or down, with a casual boating shoe, for a day at the lake.

Yes, red and dark pink, camel, black are wonderful colors to choose for a coat. I have seen a shade of lilac and eggplant, royal blue for some women it goes so well with their skin tone.

You know lots about color and style, and I appreciate your videoes. I want to give you a small tip that goes even deeper into detail: I can tell you wear a lot of "light spring" colors, when in fact, the "light summer" ones look stunning on you! You do suit clear colors and pastels, though it looks best when they are cool. The two are sister seasons and easy to mix. One is warm, one is cool. Look up "Seasonal Color Analysis", it was popular some decades ago, but it's still valid. Finding the appropriate neutral for ones skin tone is vital. Classic neutrals do not suit everyone. For instance, the perfect white for light summers is ivory, and beige is best worn when it's cool :)
I'm a Deep Autumn going into Deep Winter so Eathy tones,Jewel tones and Autumn tones in general work well for me.I can pull off black but my favorite coats are a rich,chocolate brown and a ruby colored one.

About 4 years ago I purchased a beautiful (lightweight wool) swing stroller, in pale pink. I wore it just once. Your video has reinvigorated my interest, so for this 2019 Fall season, I'm styling it (subtle) with a pale pink/camel Burberry cotton scarf, nude pumps and camel mohair pants... then styling it (elegant) with a black Chanel WOC, black leather gloves, LBD and stilettos. Ah, thanks for the tips Ana!, I wanted to add a few coats into my closet, asides from the casual Black , white and Camel color. know I now what colors to get ^^, I all ready have one coat with me so far and it's a dark navy double breasted coat, it not only looks good with any outfit but it looks well on my body! I like to design and draw in my spare time so for those who want to add color to there coats I suggest picking a color that matches your skin tone. For example people with warm skin tone chose earthly and warm colors like Camel, khaki or light brown. while people with cool skin chose colors that are icy such as navy blue or dark blue. Asides from, color you should also find a coat the suit your body type. Just cause the color may look nice doesn't mean it will look good on your body. So please make sure, you pick out a coat that fits your body type, because you going to be investing in something that your going to use for a long time.The same concept applies to clothes, find clothes that suite your body shape and type.

You know lots about color and style, and I appreciate your videoes. I want to give you a small tip that goes even deeper into detail: I can tell you wear a lot of "light spring" colors, when in fact, the "light summer" ones look stunning on you! You do suit clear colors and pastels, though it looks best when they are cool. The two are sister seasons and easy to mix. One is warm, one is cool. Look up "Seasonal Color Analysis", it was popular some decades ago, but it's still valid. Finding the appropriate neutral for ones skin tone is vital. Classic neutrals do not suit everyone. For instance, the perfect white for light summers is ivory, and beige is best worn when it's cool :)
I'm a Deep Autumn going into Deep Winter so Eathy tones,Jewel tones and Autumn tones in general work well for me.I can pull off black but my favorite coats are a rich,chocolate brown and a ruby colored one.

About 4 years ago I purchased a beautiful (lightweight wool) swing stroller, in pale pink. I wore it just once. Your video has reinvigorated my interest, so for this 2019 Fall season, I'm styling it (subtle) with a pale pink/camel Burberry cotton scarf, nude pumps and camel mohair pants... then styling it (elegant) with a black Chanel WOC, black leather gloves, LBD and stilettos. Ah, thanks for the tips Ana!, I wanted to add a few coats into my closet, asides from the casual Black , white and Camel color. know I now what colors to get ^^, I all ready have one coat with me so far and it's a dark navy double breasted coat, it not only looks good with any outfit but it looks well on my body!
I like to design and draw in my spare time so for those who want to add color to there coats I suggest picking a color that matches your skin tone.
For example people with warm skin tone chose earthly and warm colors like Camel, khaki or light brown. while people with cool skin chose colors that are icy such as navy blue or dark blue.
Asides from, color you should also find a coat the suit your body type. Just cause the color may look nice doesn't mean it will look good on your body. So please make sure, you pick out a coat that fits your body type, because you going to be investing in something that your going to use for a long time.The same concept applies to clothes, find clothes that suite your body shape and type.

Hi Anna, great video! Can you please do a video about under tones and color options for different skin tones? I am blonde with very pale skin and I always have trouble finding elegant clothes that look good on me! For example, I look like a ghost wearing black coat or washed out wearing something super pale, please help.
I love love love that shirt, it is perfect! 😍 Your style is very different (more simple) than mine, but I’ve never seen you wearing anything that didn’t suit you, and that defenitely tells something about your taste and sense of style! 👌🏽 I am great with colours and structure, while painting etc., but it is a whole different game, when we are clothing our bodies.
