    Biggest mistake was not understanding or reviewing the math (stats) portion. Don’t make the same mistake.

      Totally agreed Jack!!!
      I think everyone's biggest focus should be Stats - which is both the hardest topic on the exam, and has the most questions.

    My manager gave us 2.5 months to complete the CQE test, which is the end of the fiscal year. I think this is unreasonable. In this video we are told that we can pass the exam if we study 6, 9, or 12 months. I don't have that time! I am making mistake #5, which is the worst mistake - cramming! I am essentially in panic mode, and it will not help in passing the test at the end of October. Any words of wisdom?

      Hey John!
      The good news is, you can absolutely do this, it just takes time and effort and energy.
      It definitely is a compressed timeline, but not impossible.
      Is there any way to negotiate to take the exam in December? ASQ offers both October and December exam dates.
      This would give you more time to prepare, and improve your odds of both passing the exam, and actually remembering what you're learning.
      I'd start by understanding why your boss wants it by October, and then trying to sell him on the benefits of delaying until December.
      If what your boss wants is for your to learn and grow, then you're more likely to do that if given a bit more time.
      If your boss only wants to hit a target, remind him/her that hitting the target might come at the expense of you cramming and not truly learning the material.
      By the way, you should email me at Andy@CQEAcademy.com so we can discuss further.

    How often should you take practice exams?

    • @CQEAcademy
      @CQEAcademy  3 роки тому +1

      As often as possible!
      I think you should try to incorporate practice quizzes into your daily study habit.
      It's a great form of active learning that helps you remember what you're learning.

    Hello. I am planning to take the presencial exam on December. I just started my preparation this week, I have the CQEpreparation web, the CQE handbook, the ASQ CQE study guide and the CQE question bank. I have seen there are web pages that offer exam samples and a lot of sample questions and I am interested on them because as You mention at the video I want to practice and practice not only read, do You recommed a web link to get these sample exams?

    How many months are required typically to prepare for exam...
    how to choose the exam date?

    • @CQEAcademy
      @CQEAcademy  3 роки тому +1

      Hey there!!!
      I'm planning to do a whole video on this topic in the future, but the short answer is, it depends on how much time you can dedicate to studying everyday.
      I have a 6 month course that requires 30 minutes a day, and if you can find more time than that, you can go through the course faster.
      I wouldn't suggest anything shorter than 2 months because it's hard to learn that much material in less than 2 months.
      The exam dates can be found on the ASQ website: asq.org/cert/quality-engineer
      And I would chose an exam that's 2-3 months farther out than what you expect. Live happens, and it'll slow down your studying and you wanna give yourself some buffer there.

    Is 3 months of consistent exam preparation enough to pass the CQE open book exam? I just passed the CMQ/OE recently (after about 3 months of prep) and I'm looking to take the CQA towards the end of the year

    • @CQEAcademy
      @CQEAcademy  2 роки тому

      Hey Scott!
      That depends on how much time you can commit to the study process, I bet you could do it if you studied an hour a day.
      The toughest part about the CQE Exam is statistics, which is alot more in depth than the CMQ/OE Exam.
      And of course if you feel good about math/statistics, that's a big help too!

      Hey Somanath,
      Unfortunately at this point I only have a CQE Certification course, and I haven't gone through any CSQE courses, so i really don't have anything I could recommend.
