Your animals are always great. The squirrels are darling. Every year for Thanksgiving I make a lemon jello with cream cheese, walnuts & crushed pineapple. We all love it.

I just pre-ordered the cookbook 😊, but not because I cook because I don’t cook lol. I am anxious to see all the cross stitch patterns in it 😊. I've eaten many, many pizzas with Canadian bacon and pineapple on them! My fav! The 3 dogs are precious as always❣️

I was on a Panama Canal cruise in December and had my first drink in a pineapple. It was a virgin piña colada. When it was finished we put soft serve vanilla ice cream in the pineapple. It was so good.
I have had drinks in a pineapple.The first one was in a bar called the Kontiki in Montreal in the late 70's. I also had the pleasure of having fresh pineapple in Hawaii.The flavor is unbelievable compared to the pineapple in the grocery stores. Love your greyhound puppies. I've had greyhound rescues since 2001.One at a time,I lost my last one in 2023.
Oh that must have been delicious to have a pineapple in Hawaii! A bit like getting a fresh tomato from the garden instead of one from the store. I would probably get on a plane just for that if I had the chance. I'm so sorry to hear about your sweet greyhound. ❤️❤️

It was really a thing back "in the day" - I remember my aunt and uncle going to "Trader Vic's" and that was all tropical themed, I think. I'd like to have a ceramic pineapple so I could make myself a drink (or ice cream sundae) and feel tropical any time of year. ❤️

I love pineapple! I have never had a drink in a real pineapple cup or coconut cup but it would be fun. I have eaten fruit salad out of a watermelon bowl. I am enjoying to see the new market releases. I hope you have a spectacular time at market.
I've never had a drink served in a pineapple, but I once had an amazing mixed fruit salad in a pineapple. It was served with a bowl of whipped marshmallow dip and a miniature loaf of banana nut bread. Delicious!
Oh that does sound so tasty! I really love banana nut bread but I can never get my husband to hang on to the bananas long enough for them to be ready for baking. 🤣❤️
I'm so glad I found your Flosstube! I am obsessed with your patterns! You are hands down my favorite designer. As far as pineapples go I am from Florida so they're very popular there. I have had multiple drinks in a pineapple. My aunt has grown her own before from the top. It took a long time and when it finally produced a pineapple it was so tiny!
Oh I'm so glad you've joined me here! And thank you so much for the kind words. OK, so you're the pineapple drink expert - do the drinks taste like pineapple? Are they always pineapple flavored? And it's nice to know that the trick of growing them actually works. Someday I'd love to have a sunroom and then maybe we could try some more tropical plants like that. ❤️
@@theblueflower2115 a lot of the pineapple cup drinks do taste like pineapple but a lot of places will serve anything in them. The drinks are usually frozen (like slushy). I honestly don't like a lot of the pineapple specific drinks because they add coconut rum and I think coconut tastes like sunscreen lolz. That would be so cool for you to try to grow one at some point!
I have had a pineapple drink at a swim up bar in the Caribbean. It was delicious but a little too sweet. Your designs are so cute. I enjoy your videos.
That does sound fun! I've never been to a swim up bar (too much sun for me) but it sounds perfect. I need one of those little beach huts that's completely covered with people bringing drinks directly to my shady spot. 🤣❤️
I have never had a drink in a pineapple. On a very short trip to Hawaii many years ago we found that pineapple was on the rim of every drink. My drink was iced tea. But their fresh pineapple is absolutely the best ever. So delicious. That’s what i remember most about the trip. lol. Good luck at market.
That sounds so delicious - I'm sure the fresh pineapple was much sweeter and fresher than what we can get in the store here. But I still like all of them. ❤️
I am delighted to have been picked and I will send you an email, we did have a drink in a pineapple many years ago when we visited Barbados, in the heart of the sun I really was delicious, we also tried coconut water but I wasn’t so keen on that.

On our vacation to Hawaii we did the drink out of pineapple 🍍 Fun 😁 Love all the squirrels so adorable 🥰 My Airedales don’t care for the Pileated woodpecker when they fly low over them into their area & land on the trees, also when the Trumpeter Swans are in the river they are loud…river is 75 ft from house so they can see & hear them well which I Love ♥️ I heard Stephanie talking about you & market it was fabulous 😁 Have a fantastic week,🤗🥰
Oh that must have been a great trip! And it's interesting the way the dogs get bothered by particular birds. Our greyhound Rye doesn't care about quail or doves or songbirds in the yard, but she gets very upset if there's a hawk. I guess they have their reasons, right? ❤️

We make a version of Liptauer(sp?) in our family as well & it is delicious!! I've only had a drink in a plastic pineapple, sadly, but have had it with a touch of ham on pizza & it was surprisingly good! In New England myth has it that pineapples were brought back by sailors on whaling ships from far away lands as an exotic treat. When a pineapple appeared on a doorstep, your sailor had returned home from sea & was warmly welcomed home! Enjoy market!

I have never had a drink out of a pineapple. When I bought pineapples at market in Hawaii, one vendor asked if she could keep the top so she could plant it. I watched her twist off the top and show me how at the base are the beginiings of the roots of the plant.
❤. I’ve never had a drink that was actually in a pineapple. However, back in the early 90’s I did walk in a pineapple field on O’ahu. The Dole plantation fields. I also had the “real” dole whip while there!
No drink in a pineapple but I lived for a year in Costa Rica and the pineapple was so good. It was so fresh and sweet. Hard to buy at a grocery store now as it doesn’t taste the same.
Oh that must have been wonderful! I can imagine that the fruit in the grocery store doesn't compare. When we lived in Texas the fruit there was also so much more fresh and delicious than it is further north. ❤️
No pineapple cups here...I used to love pineapples, but now the acids react badly, even in my mouth. I do have an embroidered and candlewicked piece I made back in the 80s hanging in my home. Pineapples were also reused for a few days and from house to house amongst family members when young people were coming up in the world and trying to attain good social networking. I have eaten pineapples on pizza and hamburgers for many years. I've gotten a few converts. I have made a pineapple upside down cake a couole times but they are extremely sweet, so i dont make a regular habit if it. I've never drank from a pineapple, yet, though ive had drinks with pineapple chunks in them a few times that was delicious! 🍹 🍍 My daughter has grown a pineapple at home, she has the green 💚 thumb 👍! I don’t recall having a drink in a PINEAPPLE, but it would be fun to do .. maybe even better if it’s a non-alcoholic version. My family has two recipes that are definite favorites and both involve PINEAPPLE. One is cookies and one is what we call PINEAPPLE salad. As far as we’re concerned, the Thanksgiving table isn’t complete without that salad. Both recipes came from my aunt. I read cookbooks almost like they are novels and I have a pretty extensive collection of cookbooks,so always keep an eye out to see if either recipe appears. So far, I’ve not seen either. Wherever my aunt acquired these beauties, my family is grateful.
I agree about the pineapple drink, and it's a great reminder - there's absolutely nothing stopping me from getting a pineapple and putting some delicious juice in is, is there? (Well, except for the market preparations consuming all my time at the moment.) I think I've had some versions of pineapple salad (maybe?) but never pineapple cookies - I'd absolutely be excited to try them, though!🤣❤️
I just noticed my pineapple plant is ready to produce a pineapple and here you are talking about them! I live in Miami and put the cut off crowns in the ground for plants. My yard is full of miniature pineapples, decorative pineapples and edible pineapples. I’ve had a few mature and they’re really sweet🍍🍍 I grew up in Virginia, near Williamsburg, where they use the pineapple everywhere as the symbol of hospitality. If I see you at market, I’ll tell you a funny story about pineapples in South Florida. I laughed when you showed the squirrel with the pineapple drink. Our male corgi just recently caught a squirrel and let’s say he didn’t share a drink with him! My first alcoholic drink was a pina colada in a pineapple! It was delicious and intoxicating. I’ve never had one in a pineapple since then🙂 Have a great market!

Always enjoy the puppy zoomies, but right now the sleepy ones are the best. I visited Hawaii a long time ago -- I'm old LOL, discovered raw pineapple played havoc with my tongue 😑so stayed away for a long time. No drinks sadly. Later I found that if I "fried" it, it was delicious. Not going to bring up pizza. Happy market!
The zoomies are fewer between these days - even Rye is transitioning into a "mostly asleep" greyhound! I've never had fried pineapple, but now I'd love to try it. ❤️
Steph’s (Lindy Stitches) video on your new releases was just hilarious! Apparently, you left all of the other designers in the dust in releasing your new designs. I love them all! You are so talented and are as fast as a greyhound! ❤. I have had a drink in a pineapple. It was cute for sure, but required 2 hands to hold the prickly shell. Also, I may have lost some of deliciousness as it seeped into the pineapple still attached to the shell. (Not sure if shell is the correct term…)
She asked me why I do it so early and it's just because I get anxious and need lots of time to prepare! 🤣 I can see that holding the pineapple would be tricky. Maybe just a vintage ceramic pineapple cup to get the experience. And of course you'd need the little umbrella to go with it, right? 🤣❤️

I LOVE your designs and videos! You are awesome! I have had a pineapple-y drink out of an actual pineapple at a "cliche" (maybe even kitchey) chain resturant but I forget the name - sorry! It isn't a big chain though. I love pineapple tasting drinks (like pna colodas) and also collect pineapple "things." We hosted a foreign student from Germany and she was so amused by my collection that she spent an afternoon going room to room counting how many I had and it was well over 80 - LOL. So here is a little triva about pineapples for you to add to your collection. You mentioned that pineapples became a sign of hospitality when people used to see them as an extravagance. But, it was such a sign of social status to have them on your table in the Coastal SE (Virginia, the Carolinas and Georgia, esp) that middle class or modeately wealthy hostesses who couldn't really afford to buy and seerve them that they would instead rent them to set on their table as a center piece and after their luncheon or dinner event they returned them to the vendor at the docks to be sold or rented to the next person. LOL thank you for such a fun video!

I’ve never had a drink in a pineapple it does look fun!! I did grow a pineapple plant from the top of a pineapple. I live in Wisconsin so it has to be brought in each winter, it was very stabby so eventually I stopped caring for it. I never got a pineapple from it so lost its draw. 🍍
I love that - it's a very stabby plant! We had bird of paradise bushes in Texas and they were the same way - beautiful flowers but very sharp leaves. ❤️
I love eating pineapple. I've never had a drink out of a pineapple but I will say that ham and pineapple pizza is my favorite. A lot of people think that combination is not right but for me, it's heavenly 😄

When she is excited about a new chart etc, she jokes that she is about to have an H & H. I think she said it is a Heart Attack and a Hernia?? On a totally unrelated topic, did you see in the news that a Flamingo in the Berlin Zoo lived to be 75? I had no idea they lived that long.

@@theblueflower2115 a lot of the pineapple cup drinks do taste like pineapple but a lot of places will serve anything in them. The drinks are usually frozen (like slushy). I honestly don't like a lot of the pineapple specific drinks because they add coconut rum and I think coconut tastes like sunscreen lolz. That would be so cool for you to try to grow one at some point!
I like the market cookbook. Never had a drink in a pineapple. I love to take fresh pineapple and put on the grill outside.

That does sound fun! I've never been to a swim up bar (too much sun for me) but it sounds perfect. I need one of those little beach huts that's completely covered with people bringing drinks directly to my shady spot. 🤣❤️
I have never had a drink in a pineapple. On a very short trip to Hawaii many years ago we found that pineapple was on the rim of every drink. My drink was iced tea. But their fresh pineapple is absolutely the best ever. So delicious. That’s what i remember most about the trip. lol. Good luck at market.
That sounds so delicious - I'm sure the fresh pineapple was much sweeter and fresher than what we can get in the store here. But I still like all of them. ❤️

I asked my husband, and he also has never had a drink served in a pineapple--but he has had a drink served in a coconut when he was in Puerto Rico! :)

On our vacation to Hawaii we did the drink out of pineapple 🍍 Fun 😁 Love all the squirrels so adorable 🥰 My Airedales don’t care for the Pileated woodpecker when they fly low over them into their area & land on the trees, also when the Trumpeter Swans are in the river they are loud…river is 75 ft from house so they can see & hear them well which I Love ♥️

Oh that must have been a great trip! And it's interesting the way the dogs get bothered by particular birds. Our greyhound Rye doesn't care about quail or doves or songbirds in the yard, but she gets very upset if there's a hawk. I guess they have their reasons, right? ❤️

We make a version of Liptauer(sp?) in our family as well & it is delicious!! I've only had a drink in a plastic pineapple, sadly, but have had it with a touch of ham on pizza & it was surprisingly good! In New England myth has it that pineapples were brought back by sailors on whaling ships from far away lands as an exotic treat. When a pineapple appeared on a doorstep, your sailor had returned home from sea & was warmly welcomed home! Enjoy market!

I have never had a drink out of a pineapple. When I bought pineapples at market in Hawaii, one vendor asked if she could keep the top so she could plant it. I watched her twist off the top and show me how at the base are the beginiings of the roots of the plant.

No drink in a pineapple but I lived for a year in Costa Rica and the pineapple was so good. It was so fresh and sweet. Hard to buy at a grocery store now as it doesn’t taste the same.

No pineapple cups here...I used to love pineapples, but now the acids react badly, even in my mouth. I do have an embroidered and candlewicked piece I made back in the 80s hanging in my home. Pineapples were also reused for a few days and from house to house amongst family members when young people were coming up in the world and trying to attain good social networking. I have eaten pineapples on pizza and hamburgers for many years. I've gotten a few converts. I have made a pineapple upside down cake a couole times but they are extremely sweet, so i dont make a regular habit if it. I've never drank from a pineapple, yet, though ive had drinks with pineapple chunks in them a few times that was delicious! 🍹 🍍 My daughter has grown a pineapple at home, she has the green 💚 thumb 👍!

My family has two recipes that are definite favorites and both involve PINEAPPLE. One is cookies and one is what we call PINEAPPLE salad. As far as we’re concerned, the Thanksgiving table isn’t complete without that salad. Both recipes came from my aunt. I read cookbooks almost like they are novels and I have a pretty extensive collection of cookbooks,so always keep an eye out to see if either recipe appears. So far, I’ve not seen either. Wherever my aunt acquired these beauties, my family is grateful.
I agree about the pineapple drink, and it's a great reminder - there's absolutely nothing stopping me from getting a pineapple and putting some delicious juice in is, is there? (Well, except for the market preparations consuming all my time at the moment.) I think I've had some versions of pineapple salad (maybe?) but never pineapple cookies - I'd absolutely be excited to try them, though!🤣❤️
I just noticed my pineapple plant is ready to produce a pineapple and here you are talking about them! I live in Miami and put the cut off crowns in the ground for plants. My yard is full of miniature pineapples, decorative pineapples and edible pineapples. I’ve had a few mature and they’re really sweet🍍🍍 I grew up in Virginia, near Williamsburg, where they use the pineapple everywhere as the symbol of hospitality. If I see you at market, I’ll tell you a funny story about pineapples in South Florida.

My first alcoholic drink was a pina colada in a pineapple! It was delicious and intoxicating. I’ve never had one in a pineapple since then🙂

Always enjoy the puppy zoomies, but right now the sleepy ones are the best. I visited Hawaii a long time ago -- I'm old LOL, discovered raw pineapple played havoc with my tongue 😑so stayed away for a long time. No drinks sadly. Later I found that if I "fried" it, it was delicious. Not going to bring up pizza. Happy market!
The zoomies are fewer between these days - even Rye is transitioning into a "mostly asleep" greyhound! I've never had fried pineapple, but now I'd love to try it. ❤️

You are so talented and are as fast as a greyhound! ❤. I have had a drink in a pineapple. It was cute for sure, but required 2 hands to hold the prickly shell. Also, I may have lost some of deliciousness as it seeped into the pineapple still attached to the shell. (Not sure if shell is the correct term…)
She asked me why I do it so early and it's just because I get anxious and need lots of time to prepare! 🤣 I can see that holding the pineapple would be tricky. Maybe just a vintage ceramic pineapple cup to get the experience. And of course you'd need the little umbrella to go with it, right? 🤣❤️

I LOVE your designs and videos! You are awesome! I have had a pineapple-y drink out of an actual pineapple at a "cliche" (maybe even kitchey) chain resturant but I forget the name - sorry! It isn't a big chain though. I love pineapple tasting drinks (like pna colodas) and also collect pineapple "things." We hosted a foreign student from Germany and she was so amused by my collection that she spent an afternoon going room to room counting how many I had and it was well over 80 - LOL. So here is a little triva about pineapples for you to add to your collection. You mentioned that pineapples became a sign of hospitality when people used to see them as an extravagance. But, it was such a sign of social status to have them on your table in the Coastal SE (Virginia, the Carolinas and Georgia, esp) that middle class or modeately wealthy hostesses who couldn't really afford to buy and seerve them that they would instead rent them to set on their table as a center piece and after their luncheon or dinner event they returned them to the vendor at the docks to be sold or rented to the next person. LOL thank you for such a fun video!

I did grow a pineapple plant from the top of a pineapple. I live in Wisconsin so it has to be brought in each winter, it was very stabby so eventually I stopped caring for it. I never got a pineapple from it so lost its draw. 🍍
I love that - it's a very stabby plant! We had bird of paradise bushes in Texas and they were the same way - beautiful flowers but very sharp leaves. ❤️

I love eating pineapple. I've never had a drink out of a pineapple but I will say that ham and pineapple pizza is my favorite. A lot of people think that combination is not right but for me, it's heavenly 😄

Love the squirrels! I’ve never had a drink in a pineapple but it sounds delicious. The fabric called H & H was named after a phrase Laura, the Serial Starter says. When she is excited about a new chart etc, she jokes that she is about to have an H & H. I think she said it is a Heart Attack and a Hernia?? On a totally unrelated topic, did you see in the news that a Flamingo in the Berlin Zoo lived to be 75? I had no idea they lived that long.
