"A couple of days before I wrote 'This Charming Man' I'd heard 'Walk Out To Winter' (by Aztec Camera) on Radio 1, and I felt a little jealous. My competitive urges kicked in. I felt that we needed something up-beat and in a major key for Rough Trade to get behind." quote from johnny

    • @Altozano1991
      @Altozano1991 7 років тому +3

Esta con Shout To The Top (Style Council), Whole Of The Moon (Waterboys) y Killing Moon (Echo & The Bunnymen) son las mejores piezas musicales del siglo XX. miguelpopmusic.blogspot.com/2012/12/aztec-camera-high-land-hard-rain-1983.html

Met in the summer and walked 'til the fall
And breathless we talked, it was tongues
Despite what they'll say, wasn't youth, we hit the truth
Faces of strummer that fell from the wall
But nothing is left where they hung
Sweet and bitter, they're what we found
    So drink them down and
Walk out to winter, swear I'll be there
Chill will wake you, high and dry, you'll wonder why
Walk out to winter, swear I'll be there
Chance is buried just below the blinding snow
You burn in the breadline and ribbons and all
So walk to winter, you won't be late, you always wait
This generation, the walk to the wall
But I'm not angry, get your gear, get out of here and
Walk out to winter, swear I'll be there
Chill will wake you, high and dry, you'll wonder why
Walk out to winter, swear I'll be there
Chance is buried just below the blinding snow
Walk out to winter, swear I'll be there
Chill will wake you, high and dry, you'll wonder why

You blind, snow blind, this is why, this is why

Fab. I think the more frantic, less-produced album version is better (no keyboards, guitars sooo fast! - and female backing singers). I have this track on album (High Land, Hard Rain), 7-inch, 12" (actually bought in the 1980s!) and I've even used CD decks to fuse the album track with the 12" extended version which I may post here.....
