Crazy theory. At this point, didn't Zeppeli give Jonathon his life energy or something to help him beat the guy that killed him? Maybe that gave Jonathon some of Zeppeli's emotions towards Dire
The explanation for Dio losing his ice powers in Part 3 is actually explained to an extent. In Phantom Blood Dio explains that his ice powers are a result of him having complete control over every single part of his body right down to being able to channel the direction of his blood flow. That's why common vampires were unable to do the same thing, Dio had more self control and sheer willpower than they ever could. In Stardust Crusaders however he has Jonathan's body which he didn't have full control over yet (hence why he became stronger after drinking Joseph's blood) and was still a few steps behind his full potential. If he had defeated Jotaro or had had more time to assimilate Jonathan's body (which could take ages considering it took almost a century to get as far as he did) he would have regained all of his old powers along with the added strength of Jonathan and the time manipulation of The World. Basically, Dio was one more Jojo away from being straight up invincible. Not that there would have been anyone to stop him with Jotaro out of the way anyway. Josuke wasn't quite on the same level as the previous Jojos.
Hell, Dio even became more powerful with The World as he was fighting Jotaro. Further proof that he was only one generation from being too powerful for anyone to fight.
No Joseph, no Josuke. No Jotaro, no Jolyne. Pretty much end of the line if he'd done something smart like NOT try and gamble it all on one last blow that got him killed. DIO wasn't exactly known for being free of hubris, either, though, so there you go

even if dire would have tried that, Dio would have still won. no hamon was able to hurt Dio directly because of his freezing technique. trying to hit Dio with hamon without any strategy to catch him off guard is just suicide.
da jo Personally I believe Dire is more then a cut above the average Krillin. I mean he uses the ripple without a body (More specifically without lungs to breathe which are normally needed) and managed to hold of Dio's insta freeze long enough to look him in the eyes, spit in his face and smile.
Dire caused DIO's death. Dire shot the hamon rose, causing one of Dio's eye's to be blinded. That lead to Jonathan winning the fight. After when Jonathan dies, dio attaches to Jonathan. This fills Dio's body with hamon, weakening them. In the final attack, DIO attacks with his left leg, which has alot of hamon in it, making DIO loose to Jotaro. This is how Dire made DIO die.
@@luisalonso959 To be fair, Dio was no mere vampire. I'd say that he's a cut above the rest. Not Pillar Men status, but most definitely far above any other vampire that we get to see in the series. If it was any other vamp, Dire would have won hands down.
My favorite characters of Jojo Bizarre's Adventure: 1. Loggins 2. Messina 3. Nukesaku But Dire, he is upper than my favorite character(Loggins), he is my favorite hero of all time, look how he almost killed that fucking gay called Dio.
I wish Phantom Blood had lasted twice as long to allow for the other Hamon users to develop as characters. They were all interesting. Plus I really enjoyed Phantom Blood and thought it could have gone places had there been more time invested into it. It would also have made Straizo's betrayal more impactful.
Sooooo... Am I the only one in the world that like the first season more than the others? Joseph is the best JoJo but the start of the conflict between Dio and Jonathan is something incredible.
Dio's Vampire form is amazing indeed and I think it is the best one. About the first JoJo, I think he isnt as good as Joseph. Jonathan is more valuable, I know, but Joseph is more like a normal human

What people don’t understand is, if we got to see Dire use his ability on someone else. It would probably work. The only reason that he was stopped was because Dio happened to have ice powers. If anything, his abilities might have had potential to even thwart some other jojo villains.
As useless as Dire was, the rose in the eye thing was pretty cool, especially since he did it without a body. If I were just a head and about to die, I'd be freaking the fuck out.

@@luisalonso959 To be fair, Dio was no mere vampire. I'd say that he's a cut above the rest. Not Pillar Men status, but most definitely far above any other vampire that we get to see in the series. If it was any other vamp, Dire would have won hands down.

I wish Phantom Blood had lasted twice as long to allow for the other Hamon users to develop as characters. They were all interesting. Plus I really enjoyed Phantom Blood and thought it could have gone places had there been more time invested into it. It would also have made Straizo's betrayal more impactful.

Dio's Vampire form is amazing indeed and I think it is the best one. About the first JoJo, I think he isnt as good as Joseph. Jonathan is more valuable, I know, but Joseph is more like a normal human
Because Episode 1 is the best among all JoJo parts.

What people don’t understand is, if we got to see Dire use his ability on someone else. It would probably work. The only reason that he was stopped was because Dio happened to have ice powers. If anything, his abilities might have had potential to even thwart some other jojo villains.
