    Someone at Dodge should be tarred and feathered for this engineering.

    Thanks so much. This is exactly why a Mechanic charges so much. Hate to see how hard this would be on a New Truck!😮😮😮

    Absolutely brilliant work, you did something nobody dare to do by changing that heater core without removing the evaporator core. Kudos 👊

    I'm so sick of this 08 Ram I have 6.7 diesel, apart from 4 dollars plus for diesel fuel then catalytic converters plugged, theres three ! about 8 grand, now the heater core or dampening doors the dam mechanic Bill's are more than I paid for the stinking truck,. Went into dealer to trade it in and with it's current problems they want it for free. So what's a new truck cost ? Oh here sir, 85,000 dollars OMG. What, another used truck with the same issues they all seem to have. This ole boy about ready to start walking or stay home, Jack Daniel's is way cheaper.

    Doing the evaporator on an '05 durango. Already got the dash out but stuck trying to get the black box out.
    Seems to be a similar setup although not identical.
    Hows the black box held on? Threaded studs held on with nuts from the engine bay?

    I thought the factory top cover was bolted in from the bottom under the dash. And You have to pull the whole dash to remove the top cover.

    I bought new all aluminum blend doors from Blend Doors USA. I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 can you replace all the doors without disconnecting the a/c lines as per this video. It looks like your doors have all been replaced .

    Do you know which hose goes to which line in on the heater core? There is a hose coming off the water pump, and another going back into the engine block. Does the hose from the pump go to the top or the bottom line? Mine is bypassed and I have to replace it without having the original connections to see.

    • @SpotsDots
      @SpotsDots  9 місяців тому

      I don’t know. Try googling it. I’m pretty sure one of the hoses is supposed to be marked for knowing where it goes.

      I searched the internet for them and I honestly can’t remember the name of the company I ordered them from. Seemed like it was a business ran from home deal but it was over 7 years ago when I did that.
