    I'm subwoofer shopping too I went to demo the 8008 in idjnow and was shocked the amount of Sound coming out of it. Way better than the pair of 8003mk2 I just sold. We played the 8008 against the qsc ks118 srx928 rcf 8004 8006 and the rcf8008 still sounded way better clean deep bass rocking the store. It definitely has more output than a yorkville es18 in the lower frequency. Something new with the dsp and bass motion technology

      @@josephbisenio4984 Hey great question and comparison..‼️ After hearing both the 8004 and this 8008 live demo I would definitely say the 8008 dual 18’s hit harder..‼️ I would like to hear these vs the DAS Event dual 18’s or the JBL SRX928S dual 18’s.

      @@djbadhabits oh nice, did you hear them side by side? I heard those 8008 sounds more deep but it limits early (essentially 2 X 8003) while the 8004 has more output versus dual-18 and has punchy sound. Cam you confirm?

    • @djbadhabits
      @djbadhabits  4 місяці тому

      @@josephbisenio4984 Yes you’re right.. The 8008 dual 18’s definitely handles the lower frequencies. The 8004 is more punchy. In the store they couldn’t really turn them up too loud so I didn’t get a good comparison as far as UNITY output. But me personally prefer the low deep bass that the 8008 produces. And the 8008 has a slightly higher dB (specs). However the 8008 weighs 176lbs compared to the 8004 at 123lbs. And if you prefer to space out your speakers it’s best to go with separate subs instead of dual in one box.

    hello! I have a Live sound company base in Dallas, TX. I do DJ, Sound rentals, Live band rental, and a couple of festivals a year! the venues run from 100 people to 300 peoples and the festivals the max that I done was 800 People! I have 8 RCF HDL10a and used 4 for side! I used to have 4 JBL SRX828sp but now I need new subs! my question is should I buy 2 8006as or 4 8008as????? Please answer me, Thanks

      @@EnmanuelTorres24 Hey Welcome..‼️ Awesome question.. And you have a very nice set up. 8006 vs 8008. Both awesome Subs.!! Coming from the SRX828sp both RCF 8006 & 8008 are more powerful. The 8006 is capable of producing more power and db than 8008. Therefore if your events are mostly OUTSIDE, and you use additional processing then the 8006 will be more effective. If most are INSIDE and you prefer a cleaner, tighter well rounded bass, but little less punch then the 8008 is great. The production companies use the 8006. Dj’s or Clubs use 8008.. But also listen to both subs yourself. See which one you prefer. Can get 2 now then 2 more later. Hope this is helpful. Keep me updated. 🔊🔊

    Two questions -
    How would you compare NX945 vs ART945. As I understood they should be identical besides the plastic/wooden housing.
    How would you compare 8008 vs the older 8006?

    • @djbadhabits
      @djbadhabits  4 місяці тому +2

      First and foremost let me say welcome to the channel/family. We have a nice group of sound professionals here.Lets jump right in.The RCF 945 tops are awesome.!! You’re 💯right they are basically the same except for the plastic and wood cabinets. And of course the weight (Art-945A at 49lbs & NX-945 at 60lbs) Personally I don’t think, after hearing speakers in both enclosures, it makes such a big difference with tops. Especially if you’re using them with subs. They will be set to cut the low end anyway. The advantage however is the newer Art-945A is lighter. Lifting on & off a 5ft stand or pole (half tipsy😂) is no joke. I did notice tho. the NX has a 100deg x 70deg coverage while the Art has 100deg x 60deg..

      Oh the 8008 vs the 8006.. Great question. I heard both side by side. The 8008 was designed for live sound and Dj’s. The 8006 for “pro sound” stage show type with a higher db and wattage. Again this all depends on what you plan on using them for. If it’s for Sound Production outside stage shows etc you need the highest power and db rated one (8006 weight 212lbs 5000watts 141db) For Dj’s and smaller events the 8008 (weight 176lbs 4400w 137db)

      @@djbadhabits I’m using currently a combination of ART945 with Sub8003MK3. In general I’m happy with that system. I‘m just thinking from time to time if it might be worth to upgrade to NX945 (I think that doesn’t make any real sense). Wooden enclosure is just a bit more professional - but it won’t give me any benefit.
      Sub 8004 was my favorite originally but it’s just to heavy to be transported by a single person (and that was a no-go).

    Thanks for putting up something like this! I have a question for you!
    I have art 945 and Yorkville es18p! What crossover should I use on subs? It has button to select crossover! Also may I know if you run subs separately as aux out from mixer or daisy chain with Rcf speakers!
    I am planning to buy Allen heath mixer as well!

      @@gagandeepkangarh8884 Hey welcome. Happy you’re interested in getting the best sound quality these awesome speakers are capable of producing‼️Awesome choice of speakers.!! 🔊
      For the RCF 945A I don’t see a subwoofer (X-Over)setting where it cuts the bass at 80 or 100 Hz. However the button “Stage” settings lowers the bass taking some the pressure off the woofer. So try the stage setting see how it sounds.
      For the ES18p I go with 100Hz (Roll Off) and DEEP or SMOOTH(Mode).
      Some people run the subs from the Booth/Monitor out from the controller so they can adjust the volume of the subs. That works also.
      I use a DBX Driverack PA2, and have an external mixer if needed for “live” shows. I highly recommend the Driverack PA2 if you can get one.
      But with the controller to speakers I would do L & R (from controller) into the subs then daisy chain up to the tops. Hope this helps keep me posted .🔥🔥

      I am planning to buy Allen heath cq12t or Mixwizrd analog mixer to have best audio quality!
      I mostly do DJ and I think don’t need EQ rack!
      Someone told me to use 945 at 2 ‘o clock volume and subs at 10’o clock!
