Well, Stanford business professor and communication expert Matt Abrahams has insights on having great off-the-cuff conversations that are also surprisingly helpful for writers. Matt shares the secrets of chunking when you're writing, tailoring your message for different audiences, and using structures to guide your thinking. Also, as a comfortable speaker but nervous writer, Matt shares his tips on how to get that difficult first draft down on the page.     Matt Abrahams is a leading expert in communication with decades of experience as an educator, author, podcast host, and coach.     This is great stuff! I hope I can remember to incorporate some of it into my own writing and spoken presentation.
    I’m also in my comfort zone while public speaking and I’m also a tour guide. That made it much easier for me to relate to his methods, but I still found advice that could help me hone some of the things he’s talking about that I already use unconsciously.
    In particular, the idea of speaking my presentation, then transcribing it and editing it, is something I’m really looking forward to trying. I write very well, but it takes me a long time. I’m hopeful that this technique might make that process more streamlined.
