I went to Woodmont CT in July to spend a weekend with family friends of ours. One of them said that riding inside of an R211 is like “riding inside of a TV screen.” The tech on the R211’s is really cool. Hopefully they will have enough of them soon so they can fully retire the R46 fleet which has been in service since 1975.
@@villavine10 they should be next if the replacement process targets train lines by how old their sets are (SIR exempted because tf is a Staten Island moment)
Congratulations on the video, it was excellent, NYC is a wonderful city, I hope to visit one day. I started a channel here on UA-cam recently and record in the same way here in Brazil. I signed up, I will follow you from now on. A big hug!!!🙂
The RED Door lights turn ON, the moment the doors begin to close. Wouldn't it be better if they would BLINK for a few seconds (maybe 5 seconds?) BEFORE the doors begin to close, to give a WARNING to the passengers to board the train quickly before the doors close?
Wow! Love the Thunderstorm and the new subway! It feels so cyberpunk… :D
That beam of light with the rain at 0:43 is sick

@@WaddlesTravelsTheWorld Really?

I better see more R211s on the full length Rockaway Park Shuttle this month
U can see it on the weekend, the shuttle has r211 on weekends idk on weekdays tho
@thesubwaynut I can't wait to see it at somepoint
The R211 has NO RIGHT to look as cool as it does in the rain
My god the thunderclap scared the crap out of me
i like rainy train videos.
also are there conductors on-board on these full 10-car trains?
Yes, on the full length trains there are conductors.
I didn’t even know they had R211s on the SR
I wish the MBTA got some of these. They’re so much nicer than the crrc cars we got
transponders for the IND Rockaway Line soon via CBTC?
if they don’t put these beautiful things on the broadway (specifically the N and Q) and rockaway park lines ima crash out
Damn bro, you just mentioned to 2 last lines thats gonna get it 💀
Real

Main Priority right now is to get the 211’s on Lines with CBTC. N/Q could have a chance of getting them but as it stands now that chance is pretty low
@@CaptainDripp Does the SIR have CBTC or nah

@@ScenicWalk Thank you, much appreciated and I'm sure there's you will find something interesting here in NYC. Best of luck with your channel! 🙏
I thought the R211 had open gangways
That’s the R211T. This is an R211A.
R211A will eventually take over the Rockaway Shuttle by next Summer. After it finishes filling up the A and C Line.

I went to a R211A A train and I was about to take the c train and I saw a R211T C train and I rode on it
Does anyone know if they are running today on the shuttle?
It should be running most of the time in the summer
I was wondering what time this was shot. Very few people on the train.
It was around 6:40 PM when it left Beach 116th Street
So cool it doesnt look real, looks like 3d Sci-fi.
I thought they only ran 5 car trains on the shuttle.
