This channel here needs to blow up. It is so informative and detailed to the core! Making it easy for the viewers to get it going. Keep up the good work! Love from Malaysia ❤️
Great drink ideas. Simple yet flavourful. Will try that Bee's Knees with a rose bitters that I think would would well. For the absinthe nose some maybe have Star Anise at home and a small pinch of freshly grated goes a long way for the aroma. JF as for an idea try a cocktail that can work with multiple base spirits (gin, whisk(e)y, vodka) for those that have different set-ups and flavour preferences.
Great ideas! The rose bitters, the anis and the multiple base spirits cocktail... Thanks! But speaking of multiple base spirits, the previous video was pretty much on that topic. The template of the Mai Tai where you can sub the smoky tequila for mezcal or any other rum... But I keep that in mind for more like that. Thanks
Definitely wanna make that Casino. It looks tasty and it's a pairing I hadn't thought off. This video was exceptional because you kept the ingredients minimal so people are more likely to have the ingredients to make it.
Thanks! I'm so glad you say that. It was my goal. During this lock-down I try to keep it simple but not boring. Let me know if you try the Casino. I want to hear your thoughts. I love this cocktail so much!
Nice video man. St Germain and Gin is a match made in heaven, I love drinking them together with lemon and served up in a coupe but that Ricky sounds delicious!
You should give a try to the Right Word then. equal parts of Gin, St-Germain, lime and Lillet blanc. I made a video on it few weeks ago. Cheers and thanks!
Haven’t had one yet but just based on the ingredients I’d have to go with the Casino. I’ll be trying this as soon as I get more lemons. I too love Maraschino and always have it in my bar. Can’t wait to make it. Cheers..
Great! Can't wait to hear your thought about it. Even if it is delicious with pretty any orange bitters, if you have Angostura orange bitters, it truly makes a difference. Cheers!
Renzo Poblete dude, great choice. Try original Don Beachcomber’s Navy Grog, but use only plantation 3 stars (it’s already a blend of three different types of rum though). Furthermore, you may not grab a bottle of Pimento Dram Liquor , I like to toast some spices (allspice, cloves, star anise, cinnamon, nutmeg) then transfer this spices into pestle and mortar, crush them, add from 3 to 6 oz if white plantation, let infuse stirring for a minute, strain through the fine strainer into the shaker and add the rest of ingredients. This fresh and quick, Japanese-style spirit infusion opens another dimension of Navy Grog and let you not to use pimento dram liqueur (I tried both and my choice is up to fresh spices).
Nice guide I really like the style but easy? o.O i dont know... i have gin at home but can not make one of these because i am missing all the other stuff. I thought more like gin tonic and stuff like this would be easy :) But great job anyway ^^ keep it up!
It's on my to do list to make a 5 garnishes video but until then, I've made this one already where I show how to make my favourite orange zest. ua-cam.com/video/YleLAScOH1o/v-deo.html
@Truffles On The Rocks The Bee’s Knees is one of my favorite cocktails. I didn’t have lavender bitters. But I found a lovely black berry honey to make the honey syrup. My riff on this one was to take apple wood chips along with sage and rosemary and smoke it directly into a chilled cocktail coupe. Garnished with a single small sage leaf. What an amazing cocktail recipe. Balance was perfect. The smoke added a bit of complexity to the nose as it carried the sage and rosemary through the drink.
I do enjoy me a nice aviation cocktail and is usually the gin cocktail i default to but i have everything for the ricky so maybe that will be made tomorrow night.
Hey buddy! Pretty damn good mixology approach! You should definitely try few drops of saline solution in your Hanky Panky to let fernet herbal flavor shine through the mix! Also I wonder what shaker do you use (any links?)?
I will give it a try. TBH I use saline quite often but almost never in classics. Will give it a go next time and will let you know. P.S. the shaker is from Alambika in Montreal. They ship worldwide alambika.ca/fr
It's hard to choose as all look great. However I would like to start with the elder flower one and the casino. Honestly in few of the shots when you were taking the gin looked like the bottle gonna hit the mixing glass and I catched myself being nervous! What's wrong with me? Hahaha
HAHAHA!!! I guess the lock down will eventually get some of us crazy LOL Good choice for the cocktails... Both are very fresh! That's kind of what I feel for most of the time lately. Cheers!
Pretty much. Traditionally it was gin, lime soda but on the modern days we added a bit a sugar to balance it but not as much as in a Tom Collins. Cheers!
Oh my friend, I get them from all over the place. Thrift shops, antique, waterford crystal... many places. If you have some in particular you want to know, myabe I can help you better
As soon as this virus blows over get a proper patreon set up, this in one of the best channels on youtube. Also have you been pulling the strainer out of your pocket all along? :D
I generally give tasting notes. But I feel in compilation videos like that, it makes them too long and break the rythm. That said, you may like the other videos I made since most of them have the tasting notes at the end. Cheers
pb4life55 oh god! From all over the place dear. The one I used for the Hanky Panky is a antique Saint-Louis crystal glass I found in Bordeaux, the Bee’s Knees is from a thrift shop, then there is some Riedel, Waterford Crystal and a delicious find from an Antique shop in Quebec City. Glassware collection is an addiction. I have so many boxes... I love glassware!
I usually follow along and everything turns out looking the same, so I am confused this time. I did the Elderflower Rickey and it only filled up about half the glass, I must have used the fastest highball ever lol.
What was your favourite cocktail from the list?
I'll probably make the casino tonight since I have al the ingredients! Or the Tuxedo #2
Casino I think
@@ВладимирМаций My fav of the list!
@@renzopoblete8908 Great choice! I'll have a Casino for sure. Cheers!
Hmmm hard to pick one. Hanky Panky and Tuxedo No.2 are great .
I’d love to see an episode on how to make those awesome garnishes!
Keep this series coming!!! Like 5 vodka cocktails. 5 whiskey ......
Thanks Romain! Good call. I will soon. Cheers!
The Casino looks amazing. I think I'll be having one tonight.
It's a great choice if you want my opinion ;) Cheers!
Loved this! Could you do a tutorial on how to do those fabulous garnishes?
i like your video , you look professional when you shake that bottle, and the process is so clearly.
Thanks! I really appreciate it!

I want to try the Elder Flower Ricky. They all look good, but that one calls to me. Great info recipes.
It is such a thirst quencher! I make pitchers of them in the summer time! So simple and refreshing!
Looks amazing!
Can I ask where you can purchase a glass cocktail shaker? It’s mesmerising to watch it being made.
The strainer in the pocket is a nice touch.

Great stuff. You gave me a few things to experiment with this week.

I gotta go with the Hanky Panky, only because I've never had it before and now I'm off to play with some Fernet Branca!😋
Love that you measure your soda water. Way too many bartenders just fill to the top of their highball and as you say risk over-dilution.
I have OCD when it comes to measurement LOL
