This was everything I'd want in a pre run stretch tutorial! The stretches are really energising and I'm excited to see how it'll affect my run today-I also liked the lack of music and fancy editing, it was easy to follow along.
I’m 34, slowly returning to being active and this was incredibly helpful. In my 20s I did century bike rides but in the past couple years let my self go. Getting into running and trail running hopefully this time next year I can leave another comment saying I’m back!!! Hold me to it 💪🏽
Averaging 18ish miles bike rides 2-3 times a week and have been doing 2mile jogs 1-2 times a week. I’m most proud of my consistency! I also have a 9month old pup that helps me get out on my jogs 🙏🏼 you checking in is so cool! 🥹

One thing I've noticed since starting this stretching practice with Ash is that I do not have that hard first 5 minutes of a run anymore. It used to be the first 5 minutes or so of a run sucked. My body was not happy. Now, after a short quality stretch, I'm ready to go, and the run is great from the very first step. Thanks Ash!
I searched up stretches for Shin Splits and your video popped up … I love running I run 3 miles a day with one rest day … my shins feel so sore it was never like that but as a avid runner this is normal for it to happen … I’ve been suffering for 3 months now I’ve iced … I’ve rested … etc etc … I did your stretches and was like hell let me run and dude !!!! I didn’t feel any pain thank you 🙏🏻 I almost cried

I use the Runna app for my training but I find their warm ups are too aggressive. This is the one warm up I’ve been using and never have a complaint. I love this video. I keep coming back to it as over time my warm up becomes sloppier and sloppier. This brings it all back into focus for me… that and one of your other ones, but I like this the best I think And now I find myself replying to videos instead of going for the run!!!
This has been my go to pre run stretch routine for so many runs now and I haven’t yet commented. Thanks so much Ash for posting this combination, it has helped me to remain injury free through countless runs, including my first half marathon (and hopefully my first full marathon I’m training for next year). (HIGHLY RECOMMANDED) Alright so I have been warming up using this Stretching Routine for the past 5 or 6 weeks. I was not a runner before and I needed to start at some point so using this method after 6 weeks or so I am able to run 5k in 35 mins which is a good start. This warm up helps me run in a moderate pace where I can enjoy every second of my run and not get tired of it. Thank you once again.
I use your 5 min pre run and post run stretches and so far I've never had any injuries or pain which is amazing as normally I've experienced issues when running in the past. Thank you 😊🙏🏼

These stretches really get the job done! I started exercising regularly on a mini stepper in February and it gave me a gnarly pain in my left knee. I started a Couch to 5K program in April and searched for stretches for beginner runners to alleviate this pain and prevent further injury and did these stretches every time before I started and sometimes after I finish and my knee pain has disappeared. Thank you so much for your simple, free and easy-to-follow content. I stretch every time I start exercising now because of you.

I went for a run the other day, & man i pulled something so bad in my left knee . Been in bed for a day literally couldn’t walk. A lot of ibuprofen & wrapped it with Ice & hot. I didn’t warm up before my run. Ill try this next week, thanks!

When I did research on what may be the cause, the main reason, was not stretching enough before and after a running. I have been suffering with a hip flexor issue for about a month now, I have tried all sorts to ease the issue I came across your warm up and followed it to the letter, I have just come back from a 7 and half k run and pleased to say I didn’t experience any pain for the first time in a month !! 👍

@@RunBetterwithAsh Happy to comment, as 3 days ago I had a burning sensation in my tailbone area, and didn't understand why. When I did research on what may be the cause, the main reason, was not stretching enough before and after a running. Since discovering your page only 3 days ago and doing your pre-run stretches, I'm no longer in pain and have also incorporated your post run stretch too. Thank you.

I have been suffering with a hip flexor issue for about a month now, I have tried all sorts to ease the issue I came across your warm up and followed it to the letter, I have just come back from a 7 and half k run and pleased to say I didn’t experience any pain for the first time in a month !! 👍

I ran for the first time in years and followed this video before my run and I was able to run a full mile without stopping! I usually struggle with shin splint/rib pain when I start running again but didn't this time. Thanks :)
