Metsäkukkia Waltz popularized by Viljo Vesterinen
I could not find a composer listed for this waltz, though some list it as traditional. It was brought to fame by Viljo Vesterinen, who wrote some but not all of the songs that he performed. It's possible that this is one of his works, though I haven't found any confirmation. If anyone has more information, please comment below!

There is a definite vibe and energy from this piece that it is almost meme-like, because it sounds like every classical piece an anime or JRPG (heck, Hollywood movie) would use right in the middle of an "Everything is fine, let's have a party" kind of scene just as either some evil/terrorist group or the plucky underdog heroes set their plan into motion, and as the energy and tensity of the piece builds it all crescendos with bombs going off and flawless assassinations or kidnappings of major officials happening, that sort of thing. If an anime or JRPG, I feel like there'd absolutely be a clown villain involved, because it definitely has a very particular joviality that'd be right up that sort of alley, especially the dramatic ascending arpeggio into the double orchestral hit for the ending because it sounds like it a musical accompaniment's wrap up of a circus performance. It's perfect. I love it.

As a Finnish viewer, I was so surprised to see a video with a Finnish title from you! "Metsäkukkia" literally translates to "forest flowers".
Also, I did a quick search, and couple sources seems to indicate that the original version was composed by Felix Burns. EDIT: Did some more digging, and some claim that this composition is Russian origin, but I can't find a reliable source for the name of the composer.

I wish I could hire you, in all of your different aspects at the same time, to musically narrate my life for a day. My job is exciting and sometimes dangerous, with sudden changes to the mood of the environment. I’m sure it would be fun for you!

Thanks so much for looking! I had heard someone say that it was based on a russian waltz, but I looked up that waltz and didn't hear a very strong similarity. I hadn't heard Felix Burns though, but maybe there's just not enough info to be sure at this point!

Thanks! It came in the game box, which I got the Christmas after it was released in the US! Lots of memories with that poster. I've got a similar Link to the Past poster that I can't seem to find after the last time I cleaned up. It'll show up eventually and I'll put it on the other side.

It's not a game I've played, so I'm not familiar with the music. But I am starting to run dry on music that I personally loved as a teenager, so I'm always looking for new soundtracks to get to know! Thanks for the recommendation!

I don’t believe so! I live in Stockholm, and the swedish history museum did have a small exhibit (which for me was relatively hard to see). however, the museum sent out a statement a couple years ago that they would be removing it, because apparently the guy mightve been mentally unwell. It was all really interesting nonetheless though!
