This year I'm turning 50. One of the few things I really feel passionate about and look forward to, is new Watain releases. This song is an epic masterpiece. Selim's spirit is lingering in it.

It was a wonderful surprise going into this album with no prior knowledge and getting greeted by this duet between Farida and Erik.
Every Watain song is like a ritual, a spiritual journey.
Very raw but also very melodic, almost bluesy in parts (the guitar solo in particular). Eric's beautiful infernal mysticism shines through these poetic odes to the dark as usual. Watain are really pushing the boundaries of black metal into new and interesting territory while remaining true to the aggressive and primal spirituality that characterised the roots of the genre. Love it!
Powerful and beautiful song! The female vocals just add more power to the great atmosphere which Watain always have. Cannot wait for full album!

Nobody can really contest that, I knew about Watain before I got into BM. I used to think I couldn't listen to BM because the recording quality was toaster, but that recording quality is in the vast minority and is more of a meme at this point.

@r33mote wow hm look production may not be what your looking for but maybe if they recorded in an abandon urinal you'd listen...the 3 tracks they release are next level song writing and a landmark in the years to come for Swedish black metal and all black metal for times to come. @@jaketheadventurer2772 it’s Farida Lemouchi. Her brother, Selim, played guitar live with Watain for maybe a few years. You can see him on the video btw, big bearded guy. He had a band called The Devil’s Blood and Farida was the singer. It was an amazing band, you should definitely check it out. Selim took his own life in 2014. May he rest in chaos.

There’s Watain and then there’s everything else. There is no comparing. They are a force of black cosmic nature. It’s plain to see that the way they work their magic has leveled the mountains of any standard ideal, erecting temples of great achievement for themselves in both music and the abyssic arts… and something beyond inspiring to us all. This had to be a very emotional video for Erik. Showing his best friend S.L and other past members of Live Watain lineup. What a damned journey they´ve been through! I only wish, that they had some footage of Jon in the video. WF/FW
