More Cornette content!!!
That’s sexual assault and a disgusting story from Jim Corbett. Why would you clap for that?
How long ago was this live show??
I was having a legit conversation with my roommate and we brought up the subject of best wrestler tribute shows / memorial raws etc. He said that Brodie Lee's tribute, while a bit sappy and seemed to legit USE the tears of the man's family to make a better television segment, was very professional. I had to agree because only Eddie Guerrero's tribute raw came close and that fell short because Shawn f&@%ing Michaels had to bring in his "kingdom of one" Bible thumping trash lies. It was frustrating to say the least
I think you have to start watching your own videos to properly describe these videos. Stan Lane, not the Undertaker did the bug prank on Jim.
This man has lived, breathed, bled wrestling for 40+ years. He’s not everyone’s cup of tea but he has been on the road and seen it all.
Can't be anymore true than that.
Only person I know if tomorrow they took all Wrestling off TV & out law it usa wide. Corny would more likely go into deep depression & be under 24/7 suicide watch.
Not everyone's cup of beer but if you are a true pro wrestling fan you gotta admire JC.(Jim)Anti pro wrestling clown people are not fans but o well.
Watch out; you start praising Cornette and you'll have some 4utistic teenage AEW fan screaming at his screen and breathing REALLY f&@%ing hard on his keyboard.
No ones ever debated his experience..his issue is he doesn't realize the wrestling business today isn't 80s southern wrestling and his booking ideas won't work
Jim Cornette is a human wrestling encyclopedia
When I first heard him speak I was glued. The guy REALLY knows his wrestling. When I found out he was behind Kane I was mind blown
@@robdugas9455 Jim worked with John Cena, Batista and Brock Lesnar back in OVW. He has plenty of stories about them.
I always call Cornette, and Al Snow the Wrestling Google!!!
@@gqn2 Add Randy Orton to that list
@Travis Livengood your opinion
He's so quick witted and smart. Some of the phrases he just throws out there without thought are legendary.
He's been practicing those phrases and been on a mic for 40 years lol he better have the gift of gab
Professional bullshitter. Go to any trailer park in the south and you'll find he isn't so unique.
“Then I was mad at the door”
Cornette is a true worker. When I was young, I hate him as a manager. Older I appreciate him as a storyteller and now I truly respect him as a sage and historian of the biz. Corny, you've done your job.
Jim’s timing is impeccable and his ability to remember the most minute detail is something special
I didn’t like cornete, but more I listen to him the more I see how honest he is and doesn’t put up with any bullshit
He’s great!🤔👍
because you're a weenie.
You didn't like him because he didn't want you to like him. He played his role well.
One of the best in pro wrestling imo no matter the “controversies”
@@iiGODLYWARRIOR how bloody dare you
"and now I'm mad at the door..." Yep, Jim is my spirit animal for sure
i'm willing to bet that the midnight express adored jim cornette. not only did he promote them like no one else could, he sounds like the funniest person in the world to mess with.
Life on the road can be rough. I imagine Corny really entertained them.
He also made sure the guys did their financial buissness .
"Is Shawn Michaels face worth breaking your knuckles on? No, I think not"
lol
Of all the things the undertaker had done, that smile in the thumbnail is the scariest thing I’ve ever seen.
I know. All our childhood he's been this stone faced, grim, serious dude and him smiling is not right😅
@@joetheman8550 hahahaha. He’s The Undertaker. He’s not supposed to be happy
Hahaha shit hahahahaha
That image is cursed it like Batman laughing that shouldn’t happen
Corny could be a stand up comedian. He is a modern Jerry Clower
Even if he just got up and cut a promo on everyone in the front row id pay to see it
Haaaaawwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!
Answer is Mick,Jimmy,Lawler and special guests
You must be an old-timer.
Nawl Jerry didn't cuss
Im a huge cornette fan. More cornette please
Do u listen to his podcast?
@@tj2nasty4ya83 absolutely!
I love cornette, it’s funny watching him in TNA because he’s so raunchy on his podcast that hearing him censored for tv makes it even more funny
His podcast can be great
The one thing i could think of to improve his podcast would be video form of it. Imagine a video form of him and Brian Last chewing up NXT and All Petite Wrestling 🤣🤣🤣 every week.
Disclaimer: i dont hate either of the shows but most of Cornette's criticism of the shows makes sense from a logical standpoint
Put up more jim cornette videos
That last one was the best Wrestling story EVER!!! 😆😆😆
Stories like this is why i have trust issues 😂😂😂
Jim's one of THE MOST knowledgeable individuals in this business. Their isn't ANYTHING he doesn't know he's that damn good. I could listen too him and his road stories etc...for hours.
agreed, but that's also the problem is Jim Cornette, He's still stuck in "old ways" of wrestling and Kayfabe and has become off as assholish to alot of wrestlers and fans because he's not willing to evolve his thinking to the pro wrestling of today where are Faces that does Heel things and Heels that do Face things. He's like "Your a Heel, your not supposed to fist bump that kid or give that kid a hug while your going to the ring" and the Babyface isn't supposed to give the Heel a nut shot while the refs back is turn and get the pin, he's also not evolved on the style of wrestling either and the athleticism of wrestlers today.
I found the AEW mark that likes to watch penis spots and guys wrestling invisible opponents
Jim looks like he's lost a lot of weight now that he's not stressed out all the time dealing with HBK. Also, I think tape or not, if Taker punched Shawn, his hand would go so far into his brain he could've pulled out the truth about who really had Sunny Days.
Sprite zero over full sugar helps
He burns a lot of vicarious calories watching dudes run train on his wife (jk Jim I love you)
It is a known fact both Bret and shawn had some pretty sunny days.
Its a rant, observations and opinions..guy doesn't truly give a crap anymore.. if he did he would be involved in wrestling like before. Pro wrestling died years ago,its not new to Jim.
I had sunny days
I could listen to Jim cornette all day
It pisses me off when Cornette makes me laugh because he’s spent a career trying to get me to hate him and I’ve spent a lifetime doing as he wished.
That means he did his job well
Do you mean his character or the actual guy himself ?
@@COYBIG1967 when you can articulate the line, I could better answer.
Yes! When I was a kid, I HATED Cornette and his stupid ass tennis racket hahaha! Now as an adult, this man has educated me beyond my wildest expectations about the wrestling business and revealed so many stories that I hate myself for never appreciating his time when he was young and in his prime lol
Undertaker is an absolute Legend!!
On and off the ring
Taker is the GOAT
You are right you are right about that and also he will be inducted into the 2022 Hall of Fame
Taker IS the GOAT
Whoever the interviewer is in this, thank you. They always let the wrestlers and other talent talk and tell their stories.
Jim Cornette has been with almost every wrestling company and has been in the business for almost his entire life. He knows so much and will tell any story from whatever company he was in from WWE, WCW, TNA, Smokey Mountain, and more I'm probably missing.
ROH as well
1:17 what a comedian… we treasure you, Jim.
What I was expecting in my head was going to happen when Tojo Yamamoto saw this was funnier. lol
You can hear the love & joy Jim has for the business AND the boys!
I love Jim cornett's stories and I never knew much about him until a few years ago and omg he is just so fuckin amazing
How can you not like Jim cornett
Watching him with the express on TBS wrestling when I was little, he was a legend!!!
The Midnight Express has always been my favorite tag team so sad about Bobby's passing. Always been a big Cornette fan he's the voice of my childhood
He'd make a good stand up comedian you can hear a pin drop when he speaks he's funny as hell great story telling too and when he doesn't get a laugh he pushes it aside and continues speaking
"everybody loves cornie."
*Whistles the gig*
"Aye buddy...remember that one time you were gay? Good times...good times."
That’s not a rib.. that’s a death wish
I love how Jim doesn’t need an interviewer to ask him questions. He can do the whole segment alone 😂
Story telling par excellence with a voice that comes with a bunch of old school wrestling nostalgia packed in. Good stuff.
Taker’s expression in that thumbnail made me legit LOL
He looks like a bearded version of my Grandma telling me the cookies are done.
More Cornette. Can't get enough of listening to him
Story time with Cornette grab some popcorn and a Soda 🍿 🥤
Sprite zero.
Get yourself a nice cherry Pepsi and add some vanilla ice cream. 👍
That crossed the line. Dennis is lucky to be alive
I'm a Jim Cornette Guy
I could listen to this man for days
Long live the #CultOfCornette
Jim is the most entertaining thing about wrestling right now
It sounds like being a wed wrestler back in the day was the coolest job in the world. Riding on the road with friends and jokesters sounds like a heck of a time
That schedule was brutal. I’d bet it wasn’t as fun as it appeared
Jim is such a performer he has to stand up while telling the stories.
When I'm Roofing a house I'll put my headphones in and listen to cornet all damn day LOL
That last story.... HR would have both a field day and a heart attack...
Imagine that incident report. "So, you say you were pretending to perform fellatio on him to shock your homophobic colleague when he thrust his penis down your throat, does that about sum it up?"
If I had to pick anyone to win a Wrestling Trivia show, Jimmy Corny would be my pick every time lmao dude is a wrestling encyclopedia.
I used to watch wrestling many hours a week but now it’s unwatchable but Cornette is always entertaining
That last one was the greatest, best and worst story I have ever heard in my life!!!! Jim Cornette can really tell a story, that's for damn sure!!! 😂😂
Inside The Ropes should have had Cornette and HBK on the same show. 😂
why lol
@@xXgoldfistXx hell naw idc how much Michaels changed for the better
Kenny needs to get cornette over for a tour
Cornette is too busy with his podcast and merchandise
Cornette and Kenny are really great friends. They Go years back.
I find many of his contemporary opinions ludicrous. But his ability to recount a story and tell one entertainingly is excellent. Credit where credit is due.
Whats ludicrous about his opinions? Shitty indy flip flopping will never draw as big of a number that wrestling did in the 70's and 80's (or before that). Jim also thinks WWE is the shits, and again he is right.
@@rsk47reviews59 the scary part is Jim cornette and Vince Russo think the current products sucks for almost all of the exact same reasons. They do so much shit that doesn't make sense. Let's go watch shows, even the hay day if you ask somebody if they thought everything they saw was 100% legit they tell you no. But Murdoch and Carl Cox want to kill each other. As Johnny Valentine pulled Roddy Piper "I may not be able to convince them that wrestling is real but I can sure as hell convince them that I'm real"
Fans are willing to suspend disbelief to enjoy anyting wrestling or movies Etc but you can insult their intelligence with something that is just plain stupid and makes no sense
He is right though, he does have a lot of outdated views on things have to be done in an exact way better kind of Ludacris and you can do differently as long as it actually makes sense
@@rsk47reviews59 That's really not the point of my comment, man.
Finally Inside The Ropes got the audio level balanced.
glad to see they're using board audio instead of camera audio
This man is cutting the greatest pro wrestling stand-up act of all time right here. This is absolutely amazing and it's been two years. I'm STILL dying at that last story 🤣
The double reverse rib HAHAHHAHAHAHHAAH
OMFG...I can't. That is absolute GOLD
as someone from Tuscaloosa, AL, i can confirm...... theres some big ass bugs round here.... haha
Cornette is awesome
Man, when I first saw undertaker on T.v. ridining his motorcycle to the ring when I was 6 years old, I thought he was the coolest dude ever.
Good lord.....I've never felt more old.... I saw his debut.....
Cornette is a Wrestling genius 👏👏👏 love this guy
man... I love watching Jim and listening to these stories but when he mentioned my hometown, Anniston, AL... I was so fk'n energized lol... hilarious I know.. but it brought the wrestling fan kid out in me again
Go Buckeyes 😁
Cornette is a wrestling encyclopedia, but I hope he spends a lot of time writing down all this stuff he knows so that when he inevitably has a massive fatal stress-induced heart attack all that knowledge wont be lost.
He had written everything down and has notebooks on every promotion he worked for with names dates places payoffs and attendance figures. Listen to his deep dives on WCW or the great American Bash tours
@@gregclark3268 I meant as in writing a literal wrestling encyclopedia, or better yet some regular books - like a history of SMW.
@@jliller he had talked about writing a book on SMW but so far hasn't. His Midnight Express scrapbook is fantastic though
The end advise was definitely the most sage.
i could listen to him all day
"If anybody ever tells ya' it's a good idea to act like you're blowing somebody, it probably isn't." -JC
Taker taped up his fist within Shawn's sight as a warning for Michaels to do business right
9:02 what did he saaaaaaaaaay
I believe he said he witnessed a sex crime. Pretty disturbing
Tojo Yamamoto was driving with this super Green rookie named Steve Williams( not doctor death) Yamamoto told Steve Williams that his selling was the shitz. Williams had no idea what he was talking about. " I'm supposed to be selling something? Yamamoto says watch grabs his ear and goes "see doesn't hurt right?" Willliams goes yeah. Yamamoto started twisting his ear just enough so Williams moved his head forward and winced a little. "that hurt?" Williams goes yeah. Yamamoto looks at him " you do me no pain" Williams reached over grabbed his ear Yamamoto went forward like it was killing him. Williams let go. Yamamoto looks at Williams and says "thats sell" a light bulb went off and Williams head and he immediately got it.
When this Williams kid change territories Dutch mantell told me couldn't use that name because of dr. Death Steve Williams and he gave him a new name Steve Austin
Tojo Yamamoto is the guy who taught Steve Austin how to sell and what it meant.
Wow. Just wow.
@@DarkNorthEmperor that was the same podcast Jim cornette mentioned here where he had told this story. Austin then relayed that story about Tojo Yamamoto being the one who taught about selling. Austin laughs about it now because he was thinking to another of his mentors Dutch mantell Austin would tell him" you told me that story before" and Dutch would reply "yep and I'm going to keep telling it to you until you get it"
I always love cornette never got into em until a while before aew. My favorite wrestling person ever
I like the story about Taker with the hands at Mania 14 however I also have heard from Michaels over the years that it never happened. And Michaels said he even talked to the Undertaker about it over the years and wound up asking him "like did I just forget this or ??" and Taker apparently looked at Michaels and said "if I had taped my hands and been by that gorilla position as you walked out do you think you'd have forgotten?" Which leads me to believe it didn't happen. But Cornette usually doesn't spin BS yarns so maybe Taker showed up and did that after Shawn had walked out? And in later years just told Shawn he hadn't to fuck with him or because was a "just in case" that didn't wind up being needed?
Good advice, Corny! We love u thanks for being awesome 👌 😂
I actually had me laughing just from explaining the joke and or the rib
Jim is a wrestling professor.
The Double Reverse Rib love it ... sounds like a good finisher name.
This is why I love real pro wrestling. It's all about the stories
I've actually loved Cornette since I was a kid because I'm a c%nt and always routed for the heels since birth. Hahahaha
I stopped watching wrestling 15 years ago, just listen to shoot interviews and wrestling bios now
Jim is great he should be.every bodys cup of tea
I could hear this man talk all day
I was in prison so I didn't find out about his podcast until 2020, so nearly every night since Christmas I go to sleep with his podcasts on. I barely knew of him before I knew who he was, would've recognised him, but I really like him after the drive thru & the experience
@@stevelowe2647 good on you for doing your time man
@@stevelowe2647 hope all is well outside of prison. God bless you.
Thank you jim your are a legend :):)
Lmfao I knew what was coming as soon as I heardbthe tights were pulled down 🤣
I like to think there's an alternate Earth out there where Shawn didn't do business and had a meeting with Taker
They should do a book on road stories
Life lessons from Jim Cornette 😂😂😂lmfao
Say what you will about cornette , but the dude can tell stories for days
Pat Patterson would have liked that.
The undertaker himself said this wasn’t true.
Tojo story is unbelievable lol
BRB gonna make Phil Hickerson x and Dennis Condrey rule 34
He even dresses like he just crawled out of a basement 😭
Corny should take his podcast on the road
Am I the only one who knew that was coming? I could sense the danger a mile away! 🤣
Couldnt stand jim as a kid but that was hes idea .now realising he was soo good at what he did ....respect jim
Will forever be the Yoda of the pro wrestling world 🌎
Cornette is the best...
This is the funniest wrestling story I've ever heard 🤣🤣🤣
I love Jim Cornette.
Is there anywhere to watch this full show? Love listening to Corny lol
The Phil Hickerson story absolutely killed me 😄
