Just got mine for Christmas and lost the manual right away. This video was super helpful, thank you!
I got the 3 quart size from Target. Didn't read the manual yet. Cooked chicken wings that were coated in a fried chicken flour mixture. The XL cooked it almost perfect: Tender and throughly cooked on the inside, juice; skin/crust was slightly crispy. I like how it looks as well. I'm going to be cooking a lot of things with it. It cooks fried chicken better that skillet to the oven. No oil, except the natural fat already in the meat itself.

The Power XL Air Fryer performs outstanding. Prepared large chicken drumette and large chicken wing with seasoning and Louisiana Chicken Fry. Cooked at 370 degrees at 40 minutes as directed and the chicken tasted perfect. Chicken golden brown, cooked completely with crunch and did not stick to pan.
Just got mine today! Can’t wait to use it. 😊😊

@@KellsterExpress There is no volume on the air fryer. It's supposed to sound like that. Only the up and down buttons on the temperature and timer on the sides of the display screen.

@powerxl is it necessary to preheat before making French fries??

I have the PowerXL Vortex 4 Quart model AF-E4001-A. Can someone please tell me if it also operates on wifi? Seems it should if it is in the instructions, but I can’t get the wifi to connect.
What do I do when my power xl air fryer sets off our fire alarm everytime I try to use it ? I started closing our pocket door, but it still starts going off. I opened up our windows and it helped but why is it so loud I know our neighbors can hear it and we live in a condo? Is that why our fire alarm went off from the loud noise, because there's no smoke coming from it at all? I can't figure out how to make it cook my food? It was raw after 15 minutes. I don't think other air fryers are this hard to use..
Looks good..... I have been looking at the Cosori 5.6 fryer with a square basket, which measures 9x9 inches. What is the size on the PowerXL? And also the fryer size in quarts?

Target sells it in 3 quarts and 5 quarts. The 3 quarts is plenty big for a single guy. The 5 quart is for if you are cooking for a family. Chicken cooked real good with it.

Please tell me how to clean the fan which is under the heating element. I cannot find a brush that will fit under the heating element to clean the fan and the top of the air fryer. Mine is filthy and stinks.

Just plugged our new 10 QT Family Size in and the internal temperature only gets as high as 378 even though I have it set to 400. I have two thermostats sitting on two levels to validate this? Is there a way to adjust the factory preset or do I just return the unit?

Is the shelf to cook food on or to cover food up?
I was trying to find more info about the shelf. Looks like it's more surface space on a 2nd level. So you could have tenders on 2 levels. I wanted to do tenders and fries, but that might not be an option.

Mine works great and we’ve had it for probably a year now. But, I can’t figure out how to turn it off without letting the time simply run down. For example, if I’m cooking French fries and I notice they are done, but still have 5 minutes of cooking time left I pull them out and dish them onto plates. But, then when I reinsert the tray into the machine it will start cooking again….even if I press the power button. How do I turn it off? Sounds simple, but we have been powering the minutes down to 1 and then just letting it cook empty for that last minute to eventually turn itself off, but how do you force it off?

Hi The Midnight Rider, the unit can be pre-heated for about 5-10 minutes before initial usage.

We just bought one and we heated it for a few minutes to burn off the funny smell from the first use, it did smell bad so I turned on the vent to get the smell out of my house.
@@spacemountain08 Another video I saw said 350 degrees for 5 minutes and to wash it with warm soapy water beforehand.
basically, the presets are for a big batch of foods. Single serving like, fires, only takes 8 min.
I got one it’s a 7qt one and it’s stuck on a screen it just has two numbers on it a “3 and a 1” what’s wrong with it?

The temperature on mine is stuck at 400 degrees. If I change the temperature, it speeds up to 400 and will not work at any other temperature.

Hi wendy frias, you can select the bake preset button. You can also experiment with your recipes or use any cookbook that is available to you. You do not need to select a preset function. Simply choose the time and temperature that suits your taste.

How do you set temp?
Hi tom bruschi, see the Preset Chart for the cooking times and temperatures associated with each preset. The + and − symbols enable you to increase or decrease cooking temperature 5° F at a time. Keeping a button held down will rapidly change the temperature.
@@PowerXLproducts the power is preset at 400 when i try to lower the temp it always reverts back to 400. When I push the button for a certain item it just stays at 400.
Use the arrows up or down to set the temperature. It starts at 370. When ready to cook, hit the power button. Start button.

I bought this today as I want to make Kale chips. The directions state dehydrate for 2 hours? Am I missing something? Every UA-cam video I have watched air fryed the kale chips in under 10 minutes. There is no way I'm waiting 2 hours for Kale chips Help!!
Air Frying an d dehydrating are different functions. 2 hours is accurate if using dehydrate.
If you are prone to migraines or have sensitive ears or thin walls, do not invest in this air fryer. There is no way to change the volume of the button sounds or timer sounds and they are SO loud.
No joke this is the loudest beeping appliance I've ever owned. Second only to my smoke alarm

It's my first air fryer and after reading many reviews on line and on Amazon, and seeing my 2 daughter's air fryers, I chose this particular one because of its size, shape, high reviews, the way the baskets are made and the recipe book. WOW, the 100 pg recipe book has beautiful photos and recipes. First night we made the Mongolian wings (see photo) and they were so crispy, tasty and gorgeous (we put them back into the fryer for an additional 8 minutes to get the darker color). 2nd night we made the Cajun catfish. Both from the recipe book. Clean up was super quick: quick wipe with paper towel followed by wash in hot soapy water, no soaking, no oil to drain nor deal with (see photos). I highly recommend this air fryer, this size is perfect for 2 people! This is hands down the best air fryer!
