Fading Steps
- Set in guideline with trimmer
- Lever open set in next guideline
- 1 guard lever open next guideline
- 1.5, guard blend up
- Clipper over comb if needed
- Blend second guideline w/ .5 guard open to 3 qtr
- Continue blending second guideline w/ 1 guard 3qtr
- Blend first guideline w zero, lever closed
- Open lever half way, continue blending
- Continue blending with lever open
- Do any touch up work
- Use trimmers to take out bottom hair
- Use electric shaver
- Do any line up with trimmers
- Shave with straight razor

Yall were the first ever video i watched on how to do a taper and that was about a year in a half ago when i was 14 and i just turned 16 and doing much better w my cuts appreciate the steps gave me so much inspiration
been cutting for a while now, and just recently i saw and found these video's. These tips and the techniques really helped me improve alot ! much more structure and only 2 lines to blend instead of more when i used my usual methode. So really thanks for this education !! keep it going !!

Can you explain to me why you start with the top shear cutting before the sides? I work at sport clips and getting back into cutting. Trying find the best and easiest and quickest way to cut and fade

Any tips for thin hair? I love the videos and the steps but it is difficult to see the guidelines on my hair. Maybe a video on finer hair? I wasn't lucky to get the thick hair like on tutorials 😅

You should try shooting a video at F4 on your camera or lens settings. No reason for an instructional video to have bluriness when we are trying to see the cut in in entirety. Thanks for the tutorial!

I notice that when you do the guideline with the lever open it’s usually lighter on the sides and when you get to the back that guideline gets darker even though the lever has remain open, any suggestions on how to fix that?
