Niko is why I think Rockstar will never make a better story than in GTA IV. Yeah Red Dead Redemtion 2 has a lot of details and realism but in GTA IV you could always tell that it was a different experience
I dont think you ever played rd2 in your life to make that comparison Red Dead Redemption 2's story is more complex and emotionally resonant due to Arthur Morgan's nuanced character development. Arthur's story is a tragic one, as he struggles with his own morality and loyalty to the Van der Linde gang. His character arc is marked by a sense of redemption and self-awareness, making his story feel more mature and thought-provoking. In contrast, Niko Bellic's story in GTA 4 is more simplistic and focused on revenge. While Niko's backstory is certainly tragic, his character feels more one-dimensional and driven by a single motivation. This makes his story feel less complex and nuanced compared to Arthur's. The plots of both games also reflect this difference in complexity. RDR2's narrative is layered with multiple storylines and characters, each with their own motivations and conflicts. The game's story is full of unexpected twists and turns, keeping players engaged and invested in the characters' fates. GTA 4's plot, on the other hand, is more linear and focused on Niko's quest for revenge. While the game has its share of unexpected moments, the overall narrative feels more straightforward and less nuanced compared to RDR2. Overall, the complexity of RDR2's story and characters makes it a more engaging and thought-provoking experience compared to GTA 4. The game's focus on character development and nuanced storytelling creates a more immersive and emotionally resonant experience for players in general

I dont think it would be the Bosnian war, most likely the Kosovan war due to his age and the fact that the Ųck (Albanian paramilitary) committed many atrocities against Serbian civilians which he mentions.
@@AA-bz1pr yes they did,but not TOO many, unlike the serbian army and the paramilitaries. There is a good chance that he fought in the kosova war,but does he ever mention any bombings? It amazes me how the GTA franchise has always made their crime based games be whacky an out there at times of course with realistic serious moments involved. But GTA IV was the one GTA that had a Red Dead levelled story, with its serious an dramatic tones an vibes. Truly a piece of video gaming art. We've just seen the origins of Mr Bellic and his first forays in Liberty City with the superlative "Liberty City 2008" so here's hoping LOADGAMEPL stops teasing us and makes a follow up to his aforementioned greatest hit 👑
The problem is that there's simply not enough ported characters and the GTA V gameplay anims will never get near GTA IV motion capture. I did experiment with Luis Lopez and footage from GTA IV but I'm still not sure if that's a good choice. I do think about making smaller parts focusing on one topic (something like I did with San Andreas). For example missions focusing on Niko's search on that special someone (ULP missions) and so on
@@loadgamepl Thanks for taking the time out to reply back to my message. Regardless your videos bring a smile to our collective faces and I eagerly anticipate what you decide to do next especially with our favourite Mr Bellic 👑

Since Niko participated in the Yugoslav war (1991-1995), it is easy to assume that he fell into these millstones while still a teenager, that is, between 13 and 17 years old. In the army, he served as an infantryman and helicopter pilot.
It was the war that shaped Niko as a person and a person. Seeing numerous atrocities, murders and suffering, he became strong and cynical, an ideal fighter. The war went through him like a heavy roller, almost destroying any emotions, leaving room for depression and a feeling of slight regret.
Niko's biggest tragedy in the war was when their group of fifteen, most of whom were his childhood friends, were ambushed. Аnd all but three lucky ones were killed. These people were Niko, Darko Brevic and Florian Kravic.

Thank you for making this, Niko for me is the best GTA protagonist, GTA IV may be short but at the same time is very deep
Amazing! It’s how I pictured Niko’s past!
As a huge fan of GTA 4 i can say it was amazing to me to see this animation. I love this protagonist so far and I appreciate your work. Details accuracy, the true vibe, young Niko... Thank you. Just thank you. Emotions you gave me are priceless.
Something tells me Niko was one of the Bosnian Serb Soldier who went to Srebrenica in July 1995. Remeber him talking to Mrs. Faustin. I guess he was talking about that same incident
imagine a prequel dlc where you play as niko during the war.
That was depressing, but also well done
Showing Niko's times when he was in the Yugoslavia wars, most likely being Srebrenica massacre of 1995 and Kosovo war of 1998-1999
It's just fit so well
Too bad Rockstar will just keep on releasing GTA 5 and GTAO over and over and over again, ignoring the GTA and RDR2 communities
He would be too young for Bosnia, I think he fought in Kosovo
I dont think it would be the Bosnian war, most likely the Kosovan war due to his age and the fact that the Ųck (Albanian paramilitary) committed many atrocities against Serbian civilians which he mentions.
@@AA-bz1pr yeah Kosovo war would make more sense
@@AA-bz1pr yes they did,but not TOO many, unlike the serbian army and the paramilitaries. There is a good chance that he fought in the kosova war,but does he ever mention any bombings? Since the war ended after serbia capitulated after a bombing campaign, that or he either probably deserted before the bombing campaign started or took part in the bosnian war.
@@MichaelCorleone-wv6mn there were child soldiers
I love this. The music, the narration by Niko, the visuals.
This is so awesome, this makes Niko more badass
This was incredible! Thank you for creating this 🙏
This is beautiful
"how much do you charge to kill someone!"
i don't know why but it made me walk away and not kill drako.
LoadGame at it again with yet another AWESOME short film!
It amazes me how the GTA franchise has always made their crime based games be whacky an out there at times of course with realistic serious moments involved. But GTA IV was the one GTA that had a Red Dead levelled story, with its serious an dramatic tones an vibes. An with a character like Nicko Bellic who honestly has one of the saddest back stories of any protagonist in the gta universe. I was amazed rockstar was able to make a mostly truly serious GTA that became legendary to this day.
Beautiful use of mods. The narration was on point.
Holy shit this is amazing i wish Rockstar would make a DLC about niko's past life in the war that would be so sick
My god, this is incredible. On behalf of all of us GTA 4 fans, thank you.
That was incredibly well made. I love the VRS uniforms, and I love that they use actual Serbian Camouflage. However, a little nitpick, irl VRS used Serbian made camouflages alongside their own VRS Tigerstripe, but still this is really good.
Man this is AWESOME! I love this! Great work :D
I liked GTA V but I hope GTA VI brings a more darker human tone again like IV
This is so awesome bro! Youve done an amazing job, really liked this one!
Shame that the IV remake was cancelled tbh.
I would have loved to see a HD version of Liberty City like this.
It wasn't a remake.
Check out gta 4 ice enchancer
The only prob I have with this video is.... Niko does not smoke.
Everything else, great! Nice work and effort were put into this!
Niko Bellic is the best GTA character of all time
man, that was the darkest movie about a gta ive ever seen, thank you for making this friend
It's a shame you can't make a direct follow up to "Liberty City 2008" however I understand the limitations you would have to overcome and if it doesn't match with your artistic vision is there a point? Regardless your videos bring a smile to our collective faces and I eagerly anticipate what you decide to do next especially with our favourite Mr Bellic 👑
Never ask a woman her age.
Never ask a man his salary.
Never ask Niko what he did in Srebrenica between July 11, 1995 - July 22, 1995.
this made me break down in tears... excellently well done
Incredible. As always.
0:52 great detail of gate closing keep it up, would love to see more of this idk how you did it but awesome in my opinion haha
It is rather funny because the LC warehouse that was ported to GTA V where this mission took place had major texture and lighting issues so this scene takes place outdoors. I spawned two concrete fences and rotated them to create an illusion of being inside a warehouse
@@loadgamepl ah i see
Niko forgiving Darko is one of the best scenes in video game history. Revenge is easy to carry for a long time, but forgiveness is hard to do just once.
Niko didn't forgive darko. Rather he just left him to die on his own.
Niko is still the best gta protagonist and aside from Arthur he's the best rockstar protagonist
niko is my favorite gta protagonist of all time the man went through war and wanted a new start on life
the battle for cayo perico hit nico different. he lost his friend, pavel, during these hard times
Jokes aside: Its a pretty neat clip. Elegancka robota
Cool Movie man I LIIIIIIKE IT!!.
Life is complicated...
I killed people... sold people... smuggled people...
Great job on this 🔥🔥
This was spectacular. However, in some scenes, this color correction from the original is simply not enough. Not a lot of people like it, but it still set its own atmosphere of Liberty City and Niko's story
Can you elaborate? Everything was recorded in GTA V with Natural Vision with no post-production color correction
@@loadgamepl Well, when you see Liberty City, it somehow seems to lack that very mood. It's just too bright or something. Anyway, it's still great work
@@Fleshka176 Ah, I see what you mean 😄
This issue also applies to the GTA 3 and Vice City Remaster since they both render like San Andreas colors
I felt so connected with niko while playing gta 4, gta 5 made me feel i was watching a movie while gta 4 made me feel i was a part of one
1:29 oh you're finally awake
Love how you depicted his past, wonderfully done
i was hoping to hear the 'when you walk into a church and see ten children lined up agaisnt the wall, all of them with their throats cut, you realize that the person who did this, doesn´t have a soul' but still great
50 children
Well, Liberty City Nocturne is rather short so I couldn't fit everything here but I do plan making another video about Niko that includes ULP, Michelle and Packie where Niko tells him more about the war
This was a master piece, this was a trailer to a movie!
"I promised myself i wouldn't kill people here" really gave me goosebumps
Mate you're an artistic genius and deserve way more views
Nice👍👍👍, это шедевр😍
Respect from Russia 🇷🇺
I love GTA4
That was a great video man! Keep up the good work !
2:11 No i don’t know you, leave me alone
Great video, Niko is my favorite GTA character.
"Life is complicated"
Niko’s story is one of the only GTA games that takes itself seriously and deals with actual social issues and reality. Niko is an immigrant who is in a whole new environment after a life if hell. But no matter how far he runs, no matter where he goes, his past will always come with him.
He's not russian, he's serbian
The Yugoslav flag is the current Russian flag upside down

Wow excellent job. Niko has always been my favorite gta protagonist.
Great work. It was emotional.
niko: Nya 0:11
I never understood why no one has come up with a meme where niko says niko niko ni like from that anime
I never comment but this is a masterpiece
It would have been better if you made niko spare him at the end
Nice work! I love the scenes depicting the war

I’ve always wanted to see a recreation of Niko’s story about him losing 12 of his friends in the attack. This was a great video overall.
Dude i swear there's so many stupid people out here who confuse russian and serbian flags. Russian falg is white blue and red, and serbian is red blue and white with two headed bird in the midle.

Masterpiece of a video , I always wondered how nikos past was and this paints a vivid picture awseome video 👍🏻
You have done an excellent job. It's a pity that people can't tell the difference between Serbian and Russian flag (Translated using Google Translate) PS: Greetings from Russia 🇷🇺
Oh shit I didn't know that the red stripe is in the bottom
